"Only a few months, I took it up in Italy in the spring as a sort of hobby to do when I wasn't busy," she smiled awkwardly. Val held her posture together and thanked Max once she was done tuneing it. She glanced to the ukelele, "beautiful sound that makes." She thought back to Hawaii a good five years ago and the laua that would change her life for the next years following.
The night was humid and bright with colorful laterns at each corner of the multiple tents set up. The scent of sweet berries and melons, that used the last ounce of their strength to hide the alcohol slipped in the punch filled the air. While the adults got drunk, Val sat parallel to the crashing waves letting the warm water touch the very tips of her toes at the most. It interested her that flying over seas constantly never really bothered her, but once she was up close and person with the ocean she wouldn't let herself get too close. The thought of sharks didn't really frighten her, more of the fact that with just the slightest distraction she could be suddenly swept into the rip tide and taken out hundred of yards. And I guess for a girl who never learned to swim, any thing involving water was an absolutely no. As the night draged on, she could hear the mummbles and groans of those who had drank too much. Val glanced back once, only to see a young boy sitting just a few yards away from her. How long has he been there? She kicked the sand that had formed over her feet and pushed herself up and began to walk back to the party, or what was left of it.
"Where are you going?" The boy had also gotten up and began to walk after her. Val gave no answer and continued walking. This would continue for a few hours of him trying to start a conversation, yet each time she'd ignore him. She didn't mean to be rude by it, but after traveling so much, she knew better than to make friends.
Val shook herself from the slight flashback and back into the practice room with Max and Parker.

"All around me?" Demetrie suggested, keeping his voice down low. He wasn't sure if he should even try to talk to Tess after her slight outburst, but he deserved it after the previous night. But, that was the past and the last thing he needed to be doing was to sulk over something he couldn't change. This time he spoke louder, "What about 'All Around Me'?"

Tess nodded to Myria and then to Demmy, liking both of the suggested names for the song. She smiled, but still waited to see what Kimi thought. According to Tess, Kimi's and Myria's opinions mattered more than anyone else's.

"Thanks! I love it.... You've been to Italy?"
MAx's eyes widened. She had always wanted to travel, but never had the chance. The girl had spent almost all of her life locked away in boarding school. Her parents where not very likely to send for her during the holidays either. So the last time she saw them was when she switched schools about a year ago.



Kimi sat quietly for a few seconds looking down at her bass before looking up at Tess and shrugging.
"I'm not very gifted with words Tess, you know that. But All around me sound pretty catchy. It's your choice though. "
She shrugged again the plucked one of the strings on her instrument, tuneing it a little.

{Sorry I haven't been on guys, I just checked my inbox for the first time in a while and had a lot of messages from you. I don't have a good excuse, writers block and forgetfulness mostly.}

Kimi thought a moment then put down her bass and walked over to the drum set picking up a pair of sticks. She sat down then looked up at Tess.
"How about 'A kiss with a fist'?"
She asked. Kimi would take over Gabs part of this song, the bass line wasn't that important , but the drums were necessary.


"Really?! You've been there!? That's soo cool! I would love to go! Ah! Bene impressionante! {SO AWESOME!}"
Max reached out and embraced the girl, hugging her tightly, she smelled like soap and fabric softener.

Tess liked the idea, "Sure." She gave everyone a minute to get their instruments tuned and ready to play. "You hit me once / I hit you back / You gave a kick / I gave a slap / You smashed a plate over my head / Then I set fire to our bed," Tess sang smoothly, before the music kicked in. A smile spread across her face, loving the way the song washed away any worry she held. The lyrics consumed her every thought, as she soon began dancing along with its upbeat rythm. "My black eye casts no shadow / Your red eye sees nothing / Your slap don't stick / Your kicks don't hit / So we remain the same / Love sticks / Sweat drips / Break the lock if it don't fit"

Parker placed his hand on Max's shoulder, reminding her not to get to excited over something. "That would be way too much to ask for, but the thought it greatly appreciated." He grined, "But, if we ever get to practicing maybe we'll get to tour there!" He broke out his axe. It was a Ibanez RG Tremolo with a transparent gray burst body, the ultimate birthday present since transformers hit the market; or at least in his eyes, it was. He plugged in the amp and strummed the first few verses of the Harry Potter theme, tuning it as he did so.

Kimi drumed easily, her beat perfectly rythimic and with it. She was a musitian, and this song was easy. The long haired woman closed her eyes and lost herself in it, the sound of the drums and Tess's voice envoloping her. Nothing was important now, she would be able to handle everyone, she could do this at least.

Max turned to look up at Parker when he told her to calm down, she frowned. "B-But Park... I've never been there. AND I REALLY WANT TO GO!" The girl opened her eye wide and looked up at her bandmate with puppydog eyes. He never took gifts well, and Max snatched up any little handout she could.
