Hey there...I've never done RPing before, but I'd really like to learn before diving into something headfirst, thus I am in the market for a tutor!
I'm a fairly experienced writer, but the RPing concept is new to me, so I'd like someone who knows what they're doing and who is willing to be patient with my notorious questioning. Thanks!

Sorry for all you folks seeking a mentor and going without an answer.
I'm opening my inbox to tutoring as of... well, right now.
In addition, I've begun a Study Group. It's really just a roleplay oriented toward giving the players feedback on their performance and creating a series of goals that encourage improvement and a deeper understanding of how to play.

If anyone is interested I am open for tutoring, either one-on-one or putting together a group, depending on interest.
I'm new to this guild but have been RPing since 1995 and have teaching experience (English and History).
I'm willing to run just about any flavor of RP and will tailor to the student for a short run.
If I get a group for a long run it will be in one of four genres:
1) High Fantasy (as in Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, D&D)
2) Post Apocalyptic Dystopia (as in Fallout, Zombie movies, Bladerunner, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk)
3) Eclectic/Modern Fantasy (as in Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Peter Pan)
4) Grunge Sci-fi (as in Firefly, Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop)
PM me if you are interested. Please include if you prefer one-on-one or group tutoring. If you would like the group please include which of the four genres you are most interested in.

er... let me put this up, just in case. I don't think many of you need too much help, but I'm here.
My name is John, feel free to call me whatever you'd like though.
I love SemiLit RP, so I can't help someone who's just starting out too much. however, I might be able to do something about expanding your horizons. teaching you how to mature your writing, and how to be more descrepit. no, this isn't creative writing class. I don't beleive in such things. this is merely 'creative thinking' that I'm teaching. you cannot write substantial things if you do not think substantial things.
I'm a bit formal in the way I teach things. sometimes I may come off as a bit blunt, depending on the question. however, if the question is there, I will answer it as correctly, and, if need be, as descriptively as neccessarily.
if you need help, feel free to message me here, or, even better, PM me or contact me via Meebo. I'm an evening Gaian user. that, and nocturnal. I would usually wait till at least 5-6 pm EST before contacting me, if you expect an immediate answer. more detailed schedules can be given upon request.
