Wotan Manasal Your constant TV references amuse me. Maybe it's just because I barely ever watch TV. In fact, I don't watch it at all except the morning news. And I've been almost like that since I was a kid. TV Tropes aren't just in TV, but movies, video games, Touhou, books, everything.

And I've been almost like that since I was a kid. TV Tropes aren't just in TV, but movies, video games, Touhou, books, everything. Well, half the stereotypes you linked to originated on TV series and in movies.

And I've been almost like that since I was a kid. TV Tropes aren't just in TV, but movies, video games, Touhou, books, everything. Well, half the stereotypes you linked to originated on TV series and in movies. Originate yes, but they're now so widespread that they're found all over. And for the record, some of them were created back in Shakespeare's time, which makes it "Older Than Steam".

So I just found out that the Higurashi series has 7 supernatural beings/weapons named after the Devil, each powered by one of the seven deadly sins. I should probably throw my DVD-Rs I made before finding out it was licensed away.

Take classical Greek epics and tragedies, for instance. A recurring... no, wait, a constant element on them are human-like gods that had the potential to do as they please with the whole world, had the same passions and emotions that we humans have (unlike the distant and mostly unconsequential Abrahamic god we're used to fathom), and whose mere will was the key for the mostly unchangeable destiny of all the life forms under the Sun. Now take that onto the Gensokyo world, and you get... the ******** Yukari. She shares all the previously mentioned traits; she just watches silently most of the time, but she's one of the creators of Gensokyo itself as a sole area, she's known for (successfully) messing up with Gensokyo, the Netherworld, the Underground and trying to start s**t on the Moon, and her powers are more than enough to do as she pleases, especially in battle, with any human or youkai... if the merciful danmaku battle rules don't apply, that is. Holy hell, that was a rather long sentence.And on top of it, she's hawt. xd

And on top of it, she's hawt. xd So true. In fact, if i were just a bit gutsier......then I'd quote that one web-thingy about Metal Gear. Directly to her face.....Y'know what, hell with not being gutsy enough, I'll do it for the hell of it! xd Who knows? Maybe something'll come of it....... twisted ...Of course, I'd probably be more forthcoming with the other touhou girls as well. xD ....I can see it now, me getting punted all over gensokyo just f' trying to flirt with 'em. xD .....I think I'd best avoid Yuyuko and Youmu, things might not end so well for me..... ^^; Marisa'd probably be all "WTF?", Alice would probably clam up shortly before using me as a pincushion, and Reimu.......Yeah, not touching that one, Yukari might get involved......and then things would get really weird. Hmmm.....but Aya on the other hand......I bet she knows ways to have fun that us humans have only begun to examine......like eating while in a cloud. ^^

No, you misread me, I had neglected to quote the bunny. xd Higurashi tends to elicit that sort of response from me, simply because even though I could probably hold a nice mental debalte with Satori, something as average as higurashi puts my brain in a knot. oddly enough, NGE does NOT do that to me, i could actually make sense of it all, even the Gainax Ending. Also, Kaworu is a Time Lord, he knows about all the Super Robot Wars games he's been in.
