Ian looked around anxiously. "Where is she, where is she, where is she," he muttered to himself, wringing his hands anxiously.Serenity lay her head on Gaunt's shoulder. "She should be here ... any time..." she murmured softly.Sure enough, only a few seconds had passed when a short golden haired and blue winged angel entered the room. She blinked when she saw everyone, and then her eyes filled with excitement.
"Serenity!" she exclaimed, laughing and darting forward to throw her arms around her sister's neck and hug her tightly. "You grew!"
She giggled and turned to Gaunt, her blue eyes bright with happiness. "Thank you for bringing her home to me!" she beamed. "What is your name?"

Gaunt and Prince both came to the same realization as they saw Skye coming down from elsewhere and into the room. They spoke practically in unison. "Oooh. It was a signal!"
Gaunt smiles softly as he gently passes Serenity over to Skye. "Careful. She's in a lot of pain because of her growing. So be gentle with her, please?" He smiles gently and he tilts his head a little. "My name is Gaunt. I'm Serenity's fiance."

Skye's eyes were fixed on Gaunt as he spoke, though she took Serenity's weight onto her as carefully as she could.
"GGG... Gaunt?" she repeated in a questioning tone. "F...fiance?" Her eyes began to sparkle even brighter. "Oh, that is wonderful! Congratulations!" She giggled and hugged Serenity, turning her eyes away from Gaunt for the first time. "You did not tell me you are engaged!" Serenity merely smiled.

He blinks and he blushed as he got so much attention from Skye. He laughs softly and he tilts his head. "Well, we've only been.. well.. dating, for a couple weeks. We just decided to marry today. We'll be getting married as soon as I graduate from university, back in my realm."

Serenity shifted her weight on her sister's shoulders and smiled at Gaunt.
"You'll need to ... wait until she's looking at you," she murmured softly. "She's deaf ..."Skye had been watching Serenity's lips, and she turned back to Gaunt, slightly embarrassed. "Oh ... I am sorry, I did not know you were talking to me," she giggled. "What did you say?"

He blinks and he flushed slightly. He could have sworn that he remembered, now, that Skye was deaf now that Serenity brought it up. He thinks he was told before. And, unconsciously, he his lips moved in a slightly more pronounced way to try to make it a little easier on Skye. "We've been dating for a couple weeks. We just decided to get married today, though we won't until I graduate from the university I attend in my world.. because I'm a normal human, not a Second."

Skye beamed at Gaunt, very happy indeed. "That is good for you!" she told him brightly, reaching out and tapping him on the shoulder lightly. "That is very good! I am happy for Serenity."
Then she winked and giggled. "You do not have to talk slow for me, it is easier if you talk normal. It is just hard if people talk very very fast."

He nods and he smiles softly, while he still had Sky's attention, finding himself unconsciously relaxing. "Mm. I'm happy as well. I can't imagine finding anyone better than Serenity to marry." He smiles warmly at the both of them, then bows slightly and draws Prince to him. "I'm sorry. I also forgot to introduce my son, Prince. He's going to be staying here most of the time, because I'm enrolling him in school. I just can't teach him while seeing after my own education as well. It's not fair for me to neglect him like I have been." He smiles warmly down at prince, then back to Skye. "Take good care of Serenity tonight for me, okay?"

Skye smiled warmly at Gaunt and nodded firmly. "I will take very good care of all of them," she promised. "And ... I assume you are the one that Serenity talks to on the computer? I will make sure she talks to you as soon as she is feeling better."
Though she doubted she would have to remind her sister of that. Ian looked up at Gaunt. "Hey do you want me to take you back to the portal?" he asked. "It's kind of a maze to get there."

He smiles warmly and he nods. "Yeah. She talks to me through email on the computer." He then looks down at Ian and he nods, smiling a the small Second. "Mmn. Yes, that would be wonderful, thank you Ian." He kneels down and takes Prince into his arms, engaging him in a long, tight hug. "I'll miss you, Prince. I'll be sure to visit you whenever I can, or ask Serenity to bring you to me."
Prince nods a little and buries his face into Gaunt's chest. "I'll miss you, Dad."

Ian just about panicked when he realized that it seemed as if Prince was going to be staying with Skye and his mom while he took Gaunt back to the portal.
"But you gotta come with us, Prince!" he cried. "Else I can't get back here all by myself, I can't reach the doors!"
He wrapped himself around Prince's boot and held on as if for dear life. "You gotta come with us!"Skye smiled at the threesome. "While you are gone I will get Serenity in the bath," she told them with a nod. "You should go before everyone in the big house goes to bed for the night."

Gaunt blinks at Ian's outburst, then he chuckles softly. "Alright. Prince'll come with us." He smiles warmly up at Skye and nods. "Thank you for taking care of Serenity. And thank you for the hospitality." He smiles as he gathers Ian up into his arms and reaches down to take Prince's hand, heading for the door.

Ian grinned smugly and snuggled into Gaunt's arms. It was dark outside by this time - a second reason he didn't want to have to be coming back by himself. He didn't mind the dark - as long as he wasn't alone.
"That way!" he said in a sing-song sort of voice, pointing down a walkway next to a stream, that led towards the main house.

Gaunt smiles and follows Ian's directions. He's not aware of the smugness of Ian's expression because he was too busy trying to watch his step as he made his way along the walkway.

They made it to the portal without mishap, and once they were in the portal room Ian hopped down from Gaunt's arms, landing skilfully on the marble floor, and pointed at one of the portals.
"That one goes to the Seconds world," he nodded. "And I think maybe when you get back home you should send Mom an email so she doesn't worry about you going home all by yourself. She worries about that a lot."
