The chuunin's eyes shifted from the Orochi to the Raiken, who also seemed to be taking her training quite seriously, though in a way that varied quite a bit from that of the Orochi's training session. The girl seemingly always agreed to Sukotto's training assignments with a smile and a simple yet confident set of words. The Uchiha could already tell that Serena would be someone that he could definitely rely on in the future, especially if she managed to continue to train with such dedication. When selecting her for his squad, he wasn't sure how she'd handle either Shisei or Senritsu, but she actually seemed to get along with each of them quite well. The female Uchiha and the Orochi hadn't really seemed to take much time to notice each other, and Sukotto would have to fix that eventually.

Since Serena and Senritsu had managed to get through the balancing training together while speaking cooperative words with one another, and Serena and Shisei worked together through the intellectual side of weapon training, Sukotto deduced that Serena would temporarily work as an adhesive that held the team together. This was a large responsibility to put on a lone shinobi, and he would help her with that as much as she could, but it wouldn't be something that he'd openly admit to her until he felt as though she was truly ready to take the news. For the time being, Sukotto decided to place Senristu and Shisei through a similar team-based exercise, if only to make sure that they too were capable of working together.

Sukotto wondered what sort of training he'd put Senritsu and Shisei through. Obviously, each of them were pretty interested in working with their respective weapons at that time, so the male Uchiha had a bit of time to decide before they needed to be assigned another exercise, but he wanted to make sure to do it before they headed out for the mission. He thought of having them do some sort of exercise that required teamwork, but figured that doing that would probably be taking it a step too far. A much more subtle training technique would be to have the pair do something similar to what they had previously done with Serena: a simple exercise in which the two were instructed to give each other advice. They wouldn't really have to rely on one another in this situation and would be encouraged to get to know each other in a way that was less competitive.

After having taken a bit of time to consider it, Sukotto decided that he would simply examine an area that each of them needed to work on, and since they hadn't reached the genin level there was surely something that they needed to learn, and have them work on it at the same time. If they cooperated and helped each other through the training, they'd get through it much more quickly and be allowed to move onto more advanced training, and Sukotto knew that each of them had a thirst for that kind of training. If they didn't cooperate, they'd be punishing themselves and would probably realize it, making sure to correct their teamwork mistakes so that they wouldn't miss out on the advanced training that Sukotto would promise. The plan wasn't flawless, but the Uchiha figured that it had a good shot of working.

Thankfully, Sukotto's break had passed more quickly than he had expected it to, and while he hadn't rested himself back to full strength, he felt as though he was nearly at fifty percent of his regular energy level and hoped that that would be enough to finish his training since he had completed over half of it up to this point. He tightened the Ram seal that he held in his hands so that he would be able to begin spending the chakra instead of recovering it, and attempted to concentrate it back into his hands in heavy doses. It seemed as though the chuunin's break had paid off, as he had no trouble doing what he had set out to do and managed to store quite a bit of chakra into his hands. If he were learning how to do one of the new hand-based jutsu that he had been considering, he would be in a good position at this point, since he'd have a lot of chakra to experiment with. However, the Uchiha knew that he didn't have the skills, knowledge, or control to properly learn or invent the jutsu that he had been thinking about most recently, so at this point, it was all hypothetically speaking. In any case, the Uchiha was glad to have finally broken out of his rut by making a bit of progress with his training. It wasn't much, but it was much better than what he had been doing most recently.

Having tested his chakra in his feet and hands, Sukotto decided to move it to his shoulders and hips, specifically the areas that controlled the movement of his arms and legs. By allowing large concentrations of chakra to enter these areas, Sukotto figured that he could eventually summon jutsu that would enable him to move more quickly and more powerfully with these specific limbs. He thought of how the Body Flicker technique sped shinobi up and imagined ways to increase one's speed even further. It would be useful for escaping fights that were too difficult to win and it could also be transformed into some sort of speedy assault that held more power than one of regular speed managed to. In the Phoenix Form taijutsu that he had invented, Sukotto maintained a large concentration of chakra in his legs to make his kicks more powerful than they normally would be. This concentration helped to speed his legs up, but he figured that if he somehow managed to focus the chakra a little higher as well, then he'd be able to further increase the power delivered by these kicks. Additionally, if he ever hoped to create that jutsu that combined surgical techniques with the Phoenix Form, if it was possible, then he'd definitely need to focus more chakra into his shoulders and hips to help speed up his assaults.

Senritsu smiled her normal friendly smile to Serena as she greeted Sukotto and herself back to the place. He’d been missing as well? The younger Uchiha didn’t ask where her friend had disappeared off to, seeing no point in it. If he wanted to tell her, then he would on his own. The slender bodied female waited patiently as Sukotto addressed Serena before turning his attention to the awaiting child. He spoke, and she only nodded, not wanting to reveal the presence of the dog back at the Estate. The pregnant dog, at that. Senritsu’s head tilted slightly in curiosity as Sukotto’s arm began to raise, holding up an item she had been thinking about quite a bit as of late. Her green eyes slowly widened as she took in exactly what it was Sukotto was doing. Had he made this for her? The design of the bow was amazing. The clan symbol was adorned on it as well. Senritsu had nothing with the symbol of the clan on her person. Not like Sukotto and the jacket he had with the symbol on it. If people weren’t aware of it, they more than likely wouldn’t guess she was an Uchiha. A shaking hand hovered over the well toned wood, hesitant of whether or not this was an illusion or reality. Finally grasping it in her hand, she looked up towards the hazel eyes of the man before her. In an instant, thin arms wrapped themselves around the taller Uchiha’s neck in as tight of a hug as she could do with her small strength. “Thank you!!”

Without really paying attention to exactly what it was she was doing, she placed a small, quick kiss on his cheek as thanks before slipping away and beholding the item she’d just been given. She know quite a bit about bows, and this was a short bow. Of course, it’s common knowledge that bows are weapons that project the thin long objects known as arrows with the power of the elasticity of the bow. The bow uses the power stored in the limbs of the bow as its drawn back. As the string is released, the power from within the limbs are transferred to the arrow, shooting it forward. The smile on the girl’s face didn’t seem to want to leave as she continued to take in the sights. The bow is usually seen for hunting, but is used in fighting as well. An amazing weapon to be sure. At least in this child’s eyes. Archery would be her ability. Something she’d be taking pride in. Who else in Shimagakure had a bow? She’d seen someone else, but she couldn’t exactly remember the person’s name. Shrugging off the thoughts, she realized that she had her bow, but no arrows. She’d have to make sure to get some of those made before they’d leave.

The fang of wind plunged into the gravel. As Shisei tried to retrieve it the tessen would not come back as easily. The boy hopped he didn’t mar the wood by pushing it down so deep. His tongue flickered quickly across his upper lip trying to maintain a firm grip and release the weapon. As he tried to free his weapon the Orochi born wondered how he would be able to dodge in this type of situation while not releasing his weapon. It was less likely that his armament would get stuck in some obstruction. Sharper objects like swords and halberds could manage that. Yet in the 21% chance that it did happen. The sly serpent would need to know how to maneuver out of it. He pictured his silhouette assailant, now beginning to feel like the one eye eel. A shadow like tendril attack from the left, another from the right. A third from above. Could the serpent youth evade while still gripping his weapon? That was the task he had out for himself until his tessen could be freed from its dirt prison. The white form shifted to the left allowing one to pass easily by. The other was coming from behind and the final from above his head. He shifted back slightly and then crouched down into the stance of a predator with only one leg extended fully. The other remained bent near his arm that still clung to the gold fan. As all three missed, the dread hair hopped up, over the tessen to its other side. His form in mid air with one idea. Shisei hoped with the added momentum of his entire body that the fan would loosen from its lock. That would be easier than struggling and remaining in one position for the enemy. If used correctly to his momentum could carry him into another attack. Only time would tell what would happen. The time only was a few seconds away from seeing the next move.

"Oh, ok..I'll give it a try." Serena put her feet together again and tried to show a display of some kind of confidence through her staff. Yet, different thoughts clouded her mind on how to do this. Of course, this would require very bold and clean movements and a slight bit of acting, even if she were unsure of it.

It was hard to get into such a feeling though, because she wasn't used to pretending. She took a step out and immediately stepped back. "Wait, no..that's not right--sorry" She was unsure of how to bring out that sense of confidence she needed for others to see.

Serena just had to pretend that she was confident, but would others notice? That's what she was wondering about. The Raiken just needed some kind of support to believe that her show of confidence would actually be good enough.

Staff Stances
Sukotto has asked Serena to practice different kinds of stances with her staff. These stances could either intimidate her opponents, show her skill with her staff, or even hide it.

Sukotto was glad to see that Senritsu was satisfied with the bow that he had made for her. Her reaction surprised him, to say the least, as the most that he had hoped for was a casual smile and a warm thanks. He wasn't quite sure how to respond, but just made sure to remind himself that he had managed to do the girl some good by crafting the weapon for her and figured her reaction was caused by the surprise of the weapons arrival. Sukotto's face warmed a little as a half smile curled across his face. "You're welcome, now let's see what kinds of ideas you can come up with." For his own next set of training, the Uchiha decided to take it easy for a little while and work through a few mind-based exercises to give his body the much needed rest that it required. Before he would start this, however, he intended on helping Serena a little further, as she seemed to be somewhat struggling with what he had assigned her. "No need to be sorry, Serena, and no need to be perfect. Spread your feet a little, make sure you have a good grip on your staff, and take a deep breath while exhaling slowly. The stance will come to you, I'm sure of it." With that said, the chuunin found himself a good spot to relax up in one of the trees that jutted out from the cliff's face. He took a seat on one of the limbs and rested his back against the center of the tree while overlooking his squad's training and considering his own.

From his perched position up in the tree, Sukotto began to consider the jutsu that he had thought about quite often in his most recent training sessions. Unfortunately, he didn't know nearly enough about genjutsu to even consider creating it, so this would be more of a guessing game than anything, but he wanted to take some time to consider some things about the jutsu so that creating it in the future would be easier for him to do. The Uchiha decided that he would attempt to apply what he did know about jutsu and all things shinobi, and attempt to make some ground in the creation of this powerful technique. Sukotto figured that the technique would be possible, as it would merely be an illusion, however, he wasn't sure just how skilled he would have to be to pull it off, since it would target something that his opponent was especially familiar with. Indeed, the item that Sukotto intended on using in this genjutsu was his enemy's own weapon. Weapons were mysterious tools on occasion, but if a shinobi was carrying one around, it was likely that they were familiar with it. In many of the books that he had read concerning weapons, Sukotto learned that masters stressed that the weapon was supposed to become an extension of the body, and a shinobi's body would be something quite hard to fake.

The first thing that Sukotto would need to understand was the weapon itself. Since it would be pretty much impossible to master every weapon in existence, the Uchiha would need to do his best to learn everything he could about them without knowing how to properly use them in a battle. One of Sukotto's greatest strengths was his intelligence, and he had gained that through long hours in the library, and staying up late and reading books at the estate. He figured that the best way of solving problems would be starting with his strengths and working down, so he decided to consider how his intelligence and knack for understanding books could help him out with the problem that he'd surely face when trying to replicate the motions of a weapon inside of a genjutsu. In all honesty, the answer didn't take long to form within the Uchiha's mind. If he found himself a set of weapon books, then he could merely read up on them a lot and understand the way that they worked in battle. With this knowledge, Sukotto would be able to copy the motions of a weapon and fool an opponent into thinking their source of power had a mind of its own and was bent on freeing itself from their control.

If Sukotto had the proper level of knowledge about the weapon that he was targeting, then he'd be able to use it against his opponent in a battle. He thought about this for a few moments, and determined that it would most likely take a greater level of knowledge. For instance, creating an illusion of a kunai would be much easier than attempting to replicate one of the fabled legendary weapons that the Uchiha had read about. He wasn't even quite sure if any of these existed, as he had never laid eyes on one before. He figured that the higher ranking shinobi of Shimagakure were skilled enough with weapons, but he assumed that if one of them had a legendary weapon, then he'd definitely know about it, as such a thing was quite difficult to keep hidden for too long, especially after having lived in the village for an extended period of time. The amount of knowledge that it would take to truly understand and replicate the actions of a legendary weapon somewhat intimidated the Uchiha. After all, he felt as though he was smart, but knowing what there was to know about a unique weapon that possessed special abilities was quite overwhelming to think about. He assumed that few shinobi with legendary weapons even realized the full potential of what they wielded.

Sukotto then began to wonder if the jutsu that he had in mind would require him to first see the targeted weapon in action before he was able to know how to properly simulate it through an illusion. He scratched his head and thought for a moment about how dangerous this could potentially be. The Uchiha really disliked the thought of allowing the enemy a single swing with the weapon, let alone allowing them to use it for long enough for him to be able to match its movements. On the bright side, he could always use his Sharingan to study the motions more quickly and accurately, effectively lowering the time that it would take to properly understand the way that the weapon worked. Even so, like he had previously considered, it would still require allowing the enemy to get at least one swing in with their weapon. If he was able to dodge this sort of attack in the first place, then there would be no need for the jutsu. The main reason that Sukotto would want to use the jutsu would be to effectively disarm the opponent without allowing them to truly understand what was going on. He would probably be able to mentally damage them with the genjutsu, but the important thing would be to render their weapon useless.
