Jerry let go of the railing and walked back a few steps with Amber, sighing, he shrugged.
"from what i can see, it's just a pile of jello to me." he said to her.
"c'mon, i don't think i was suppose to be going ahead of the rest." he said going back and taking her hand, leading to the others.
Still, he couldn't quite help but feel like there was a living being inside that tank. Better yet, he was sure that there was something moving there.

Amber then stopped, still holding her hand, causing him to stop as well. She then looked around for a moment, realizing that no one was there before moving in closer to him. "Jerry? What do you think of me?" She asked in a voice just above a whisper, staring up into his eyes. Even though the question was slightly, out there. She just had to know what he thought of her, and if they would ever be 'more than friends'.

Jerry was stopped and looked around at Amber. he thought something was wrong, but by the look on her face, nothing seemed bad, so he relaxed.
then she asked him the question.
"what do i think of you?" he asked a bit shocked.
"well, you're awesome! i-i mean, you're pretty and talented and just awesome at everything." jerry said grinning.

Amber than smiled softly as she stared up at him, giving his hand a light squeeze as well. "Well thanks for that Jerr-bear...I needed that..." She said softly as she giggled lightly underneath her breath, feeling more better now than before. "Soo...you think I'm pretty?"

"But like...what if I well...wanted to go out with one...inside the building?" She asked softly as she stared up at him once more, a hint of a smirk revealing itself to him.

"really? wait, lemme guess.." he said putting on a thinking face.
thinking hard, Jerry tried grabbing the possible solutions to who Amber would like. Finally, thinking he got the answer, his face lit up.
"its Kaji huh?" he grinned, poking Amber.
Kaori looked around the room and was unable to find Amber and Jerry. she thought that amber was trying to knock some sense into that guy. She did really like him from what Kaori saw.
"best friends falling for each other.typical cliche, but cute." she said to herself.
Looking around, there was a few of them already. Leaning out on the railing again, she tried looking for that girl with the loud voice. Spotting her over walking, she cupped her hands around her mouth and yelled at her.
"HEY!! YOU!!" she screamed.

"N-No! It's definitely not him!" She said loudly as she blushed a light pink, a tad angry that he would even consider Kaji. "It's not Kaji, Jerr-bear...It's um...Jerry...It's you.." She said in a voice just above a whisper, her blush darkening slightly and her eyes glancing away from him out of embarrassment.

Jerry looked at her, trying to process what just happened. First, her face turned red, then she said his name. In another 5 seconds, it clicked in his head and he let go of her hand, using his now free hand to scratch the back of his head. His face didn't turn tomato red, but you were able to see a hint of pink if you looked hard enough.
"o-oh.." he said sheepishly, trying not to meet her face, which he would know just make it feel more awkward.
One, because that was just blurted out, and two, he wasn't able to get any of the hints until now.
"w-well, i guess i should've seen it coming." he chuckled a bit.
"i was wondering why you were acting all strange around me back there,"
Jerry walked towards the railing, as if in deep thought. He looked at the case with the green goo.
"but...i guess having you as my girlfriend won't be that bad." he added turning to her and smiling at her.

Amber then felt her head shoot up as she heard his last statement, a large, grateful smile dancing across her lips as she stared at him. Her eyes then began to get teary before tears began to fall from her eyes. "Jerry..." She breathed softly as she ran over to him and held onto his tightly, burying her head into his chest. She wasn't crying tears of pain or loneliness, but it was tears of happiness. She was just so happy that he accepted her confession and accepted her as a person who was falling for him more and more with every passing second. "Jerry...I-I...just don't know what to say now..."

"Shut up..." Amber said softly as she smacked his chest playfully with her hand, grinning up at him as well. "If I wasn't petrified of this place...you would be able to see me at my best, but until them...why the hell did you just leave me before the explosion? Didn't you care that I wasn't there?...It was Taylor huh? Geez...I knew you liked her! Always being super nice to her and everything...I should've known..." The entire time, herself was just trying not to break out laughing, but still looking as though she was serious.

"I can't believe you!" Amber cried as she shoved him away, entirely serious this time. "After all that...you're such a jerk!" She had tears forming in her eyes and her fists were shaking out of anger and hurt. She then hung her head as she bit her bottom lip to keep herself from crying but she couldn't help it since she was a girl. She just the tears sting her eyes before using the forces of gravity to pull themselves from her eyes and fall to the floor, staining her usually rosy cheeks with tears. This was the last straw, she was done with it. She just couldn't believe him, after all that...after her confession and everything...how he could just act like that right in front of her. She just couldn't believe her eyes and her ears. Her soul felt like it was literally going to tear in two and leave her body a hollow shell. That's exactly how she felt right now; wanting to unleash this angst against the world. She just wanted to punch something, anything, a wall maybe, or even him. She didn't know; but she just wanted to run away and never look back though her feet felt like they were glued to the floor. So she was just stuck in place, in body, in mind, in soul, and in time, not able to escape from the harsh reality from the fact at the matter at hand. She loved him with all her heart, but she was unsure if he even felt the same with her.

Jerry felt bad, worse than bad, he had made his bestfriend cry. A look of guilt flooded through his face as he tried to think of a way to calm her down.
"look, i'm sorry, didn't mean to make you cry." he said softly to her.
He didn't dare to get closer to her, afraid that she might attack on him again, so he stayed his distance at the closest range he would possibly want to get. Sighing, Jerry put his arms down on the rails.
"look, everything is just too much for me to take in right now. First i learned that we have powers, and then i just remet you again after what, 4 years? it's alot to take in for me." he said turning to see if she was still crying.
"i honestly didn't know you were going to take that joke seriously, i really did try looking for you back then, but everything was so hectic! i was 12 Amber, did you expect me to forget my fear of dying in there just to go look for you?"
Jerry sighed again, this time frustrated a bit. he ran his hands through his hair trying to think of anything else. But all he could think of was trying to let her calm down for the moment, enough so that her sobs wouldn't be the only sounds echoing through the room.
Kaori leaned back from the railing. That girl was either deaf or just stubborn, who wasn't able to hear that shout she just did.
"ugh, some people just can't hear!" she said in frustration.
she sat down and leaned against the railing, looking up at the remains of the building.
