Delia looked at Bella increduously. "Of course I am a human, Bella. I just hang out with a paranormal crowd." She looked at her cousin sheepishly.

Sapphire didnt need a mirror to see what she looked like to them. It has been some time since she could really stop and fix herself up. "Yeah. i look terrible dont I. Lets go see what we can do to help this mess." Sapphire knew that Stace would ask why she brought up her 'red eye' years, but right now all she could think about was taking a hot shower.

Alex could hardly sit still in his car as he waited for the light to turn green. 'God this is taking forever. No wonder Sapphire hated driveing with the headlights on at night.' Alex thought as he remeber one of the nights after she had told me what she was. He remeber how frightened he was but also how amazed he was at the girl sitting next to him. He had always admired her but didnt think he ws good enough for her. Alex sighed at this and stomped on the gas and watch the people stare at him as he left.

Anastasia remembered that all of her things were in her car. Good thing it was parked in the front yard. " Sapphire, come with me and I'll show you the clothes. Come On" Anastasia said as she sprinted to the front and popped open her trunk and rifled through the suitcase filled with clothes til she found the few for her friend.

Sapphire followed Stace to her car and laughed so hard that if she were human it would probably have hurt her side. "God your car is a mess. Dont you ever clean it. I thought you of all people would keep it clean."

Alex turned a corner onto a street with houses. He hated this type of place, to many people could be around. He sped up alittle. He glimpsed around and noticed two people surrounding a car, one looking upset and the other laughing. He slamed the brakes on. 'Sapphire! Its her. She is here!' He shouted in his head.

Anastasia rolled her eyes. "What do you mean its a mess, its only the trunk...Oh, here..." She said as she handed Sapphire a pile of clothes for her to sort through. She heard the squeals of a nearby car and looked to the source. Could her eyes be decieving her? The person in the drivers seat looked like Alex, but not the Alex she remembered. She twisted Sapphire around to look at the car "Is that who i think it is?"

Sapphire looke at the car and she had to blink her eyes. 'That cant be, he is supposed to be with his mother in germany.' She ran to the drivers side of the car and yanked the door almost off its hinges. "Alex! I cant believe its you!"

Alex still in a state of shocked jumped out when Sapphire opened te door and grabed her by the waist and kissed her on the lips. He pulled back and looked at her in the eyes. "Sorry about that. i got carried away. You have to promise to never leave me again. You scared the s**t out of me when you left with out notice. I thought they had you." He looked over and noticed that the other girl with sapphire, then he let go of Sapphire and turned toward her. 'I know her.' is eyes widen as he realized it was Stace. He never realized how beautiful she was. "Wow, Syace its been a while. how are you?" Hesaid to her.

Sapphire's face fell alittle when he appologized to her for the kiss. she resisted the urge to tuch the spot that still burned from the kiss. 'Why is he lookin at her like that. This isnt the first time he has seen her.

Anthony came out into the driveway and saw a man standing next to Sapphire but staring at Anastatia. He hissed and put his arms around Anastatia, part lovingly, part protectictivly, and part making a point to the newcomer. Anthony didn't like the man that was staring at Anastatia, though it was probably Sapphire's friend he didn't care.

'Anthony see's the way he stares at her too. God i dont like this.' Sapphire said to hersefl. She turned toward Anthony with a pained expression "Hey Anthony, this is Alex. Alex this is Anthony"

Alex didnt like this man. He hated the way he held Stace like she was a prize. 'I would treat her better than that.' He put on a fake smile and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you Anthony."

Anthony half smiled, though it was more of a grimace, "Hi." he said in an acid like tone, "So you're the Alex Sapphire talks so protectively and lovingly about? You're very lucky to have someone who loves you so." he smirked, the acid in his voice more noticable.

Sapphire's eyes bulged at the way Anthony just threw the word love around. 'Does it really show that bad?' She wondered to herself 'And if it shows that much why does Alex not care?' She would have cried right then if she could. She started to walk away but felt Alex tighten his grip on her waist.

Alex was taken aback. 'What the hell does this guy mean "love". Sapphire doesnt love me, i dont think.' He felt Sapphire walking away but he didnt want her to leave right now. Alex hated the acidic tone to Anthonys voice but knew he was good at heart. "Well I guess i was lucky, but i dont think you ment that part about love. Sapphire is like my sister."

Sapphire had to get away before she did something terrablie stupid. "Um Stace will you show me the way to the shower. I think i need to get cleaned up."

Anastasia looked at the other three in confusion. When Sapphire asked her to show her where the shower was she slipped quickly away from Anthony and muttered "Behave" because of the tension she felt. She turned to Sapphire "Come on this way." and then glanced back at the guys nervously.

Delia bit her lip. "I'm sorry you feel that way Bella. When I found out you were coming back, I was excited, my long gone cousin finally coming back. But I suppose Phoenix is preferrable to Forks anyday..." She said, trying with no avail to hide the sadness in her voice.

Once they were out of the guys way and into the house Sapphire gave a quick shake and fell to the floor. "I cant take this. Stace he likes you. Its as plan as day. Im glad he has found someone but i know you have Anthony. I just hope Alex doesnt say anything stupid to Anthony, or maybe i do and Anthony can tell Alex how i fell because i sure as hell cant."

Anastasia dropped to the floor beside her best friend. "Sapphire, Alex is an ignorant a** if he can't see how perfect you are for him....Now lets go get you cleaned up, I know what you are going to wear. If he can't see how beautifully drop dead gorgeous you are once I'm through with you, I might just have to kill him myself." Anastasia said. She lifted Sapphire up and led her to the bathroom.

Sapphire got up witht the help of her freind and walked with her untill they go to this massive bedroom. "Anthony sure does spoil you doesn he. He is good for you and i know he is going to take care of you."
