Stephanie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, and what about me? Want me to help make the clothes, Oliver?" she asked.

Nam didn't see anything wrong with the clothes they were wearing, absent that he'd used his shirt as a slobber mop. "Okay," Nam said to Rosemary, "do you know how to play bullshit? We need at least three people," he glanced at Stephanie.

Rosemary pursed her lips. "Papa doesn't allow that kind of language," she admitted, "but I'd love to play bullshit. It's like pirate dice," she added. "You have to lie about what cards you have when you don't have them. If you do have the cards, and someone cries 'BS,' then..." and Rosemary proceeded to explain the rules of BS completely and thoroughly. She was a game junkie, since there was nothing more entertaining to a ten-year-old than games in an old British Manor without any friends of any type most of the years of her life.
"I'm sure Alya would play," Rosemary decided, "since she's a kid too. I don't think kids should have to work, do you? I never want to have to work. And, and Stephanie. You, me, Alya, and Stephanie."
Leaning closer, Rosemary whispered, "The other guy, besides Oliver, he scares me."
Oliver shook his head disapprovingly at Rosemary, but nodded to Stephanie. "I don't see the need for new clothing either, for most of us..." with another disapproving shake, Oliver glanced discreetly at Nam, before pulling out various old and unused garments from the dresser.
The howlings outside grew with greater frequency, but none were heard very close to either door.

Nam laughed warmly. "He takes a little getting used to, but he's a nice guy." He didn't notice that Oliver's remark was geared towards himself.

Stephanie shrugged and walked over to the table where they were playing the game. "I suck at card games." she laughed but grabbed a seat anyway.

Oliver glanced at Stephanie for a moment, but sighed and busily went about guessing measurements for Nam. A tunic here, a long thread of linen there... and a pair of girl's frilly dresses.
The old man went about cutting up and arranging and sewing the clothing to proportionately fit Nam.
Rosemary snatched up the cards, before quietly returning them once she realized that she had forgotten how to deal.

After some sewing and whatnot, Oliver sidled over and stealthily held the shirt up to Nam's back, comparing its sizes to him and trying to tell if it would fit.
For some reason, Oliver apparently did not trust Nam to want to wear new, clean clothing, because he quickly - with a speed that no one could have anticipated from such an old man - pulled the shirt over the boy's head with a tug.
Rosemary rolled her eyes but waited for the cards to be dealt.

((Because no one else will post...))
Rosemary leaned forward, examining the first the card, then Kryxel with scrutiny. "Your name is Kryxel, right? What kind of a name is that?" she asked, before also adding, "Two deuces," and laying two cards down.

Nam flailed as the shirt was pulled over his head, unaware that Oliver had been behind him. "Aah!" He snarled, "two threes!! Be careful, that one's magic." He pointed at Kryxel and pulled off the filthy shirt and jacket underneath his 'new' one and tossed them aside.

((I think we should have a little fun with Nam... xD twisted ))
Oliver caught his arm in Nam's new shirt, trying to walk away without noticing this. The result was that Nam and Oliver both fell to the ground, Nam first along with his chair falling backwards, then Oliver being pulled down as well.
The table was sent sprawling (these objects - dresser, table, chairs - just seem to appear out of nowhere, don't they, just like Oliver's cane....), and cards went everywhere.
Rosemary just laughed. And kept on laughing, so hard, so much, tears came from her eyes. She doubled over and fell to her knees on the floor, she was laughing so hard.

Nam touched the back of his head gingerly, muttering "Ow, ow, ow," as having a chair underneath you and an old man on top of you suddenly was not a pleasant experience. Realizing what had happened, he began to laugh. "Aw man," he said as he noticed that his hand of cards had sprawled all over the place in the confusion. Grabbing Oliver's arm, he helped the decrepit man back up.
(LOL)

"Now," Oliver announced quietly, "all I have to do is figure out how to get you into a new pair of trousers...."
Rosemary stifled another bout of giggles; Oliver had done exactly this with her on several occasions. She looked down at her raggedy dress; all torn up, now, and even so she looked better than anyone else in the room.
That was because of how formal her clothing was. Ugh. And obviously, Oliver was still unconvinced that Nam would willingly settle into clean clothes, even though the boy was not trying to take off the shirt. Oliver was dense, sometimes, Rosemary knew.
