C.C.'s smile grew. The petting was fine. He was used to petting. But the scratching just felt too good. Normally he probably would have asked just what he would get in return for his hard work...since this little plot could easily turn towards the bad guy's favor, and he'd turn with the plot. But...the scratching was nice. He'd play good kitty until Kingpin made it interesting or something.

C.C. didn't say anything, just continued to purr. The fur around his arms and back stopped changing shades, and stayed at a nice gray color.

Rogue looked about, still confused... Then she noticed that her communicator switched on. She backed off and checked the display to see who was trying to contact her. No one's comm signal was displaying.
What the heck?
The Southerner switched the comm off, watched for almost a minute, and saw it switch back on again.
Uh oh.
Rogue looked for Wolverine who seemed to have wandered away from Sabertooth...

Victor thought for what felt like an eternity. "Kid, I want to keep as close an eye on ya as possible. I know the role of bad guy pretty well, an' they will still try to get to ya, if ya know what i mean. I'll be your lover for the time bein', and if anyone tries anything with ya, I'll tear them to shreds." he responded.

Skuld arched an eyebrow and walked over to Sabertooth and slid her arms around his neck, "Oh, so you're going to be my big protector, eh? A girl could get used to that." The redhead flashed a bright smile.
Mistress Lina just looked at the scene and, even though she trained the young woman, the archmage herself wasn't sure just how much of this is an act, Excellent. That should be convincing enough... Even if the two do get involved, the Brimstone Society should be pleased.
Rogue glanced back over and saw the display, Ah think Ah'm gonna be sick. Ah'm gonna have'ta have a serious talk with that girl! Now where did Wolvie go?

When Rogue saw that her communicator switched off again, she whispered to Wolverine, "Psst. Logan. Someone's listenin to our communicators."

About then, the power suddenly cut out, then randomly began flickering. Computers in the room were suddenly bombarded with anime cartoons.
Crazy glanced over at the computers with mild interest. He knew what was going on of course...and to be honest he wasn't entirely interested in it. He glanced over at no particular spot on the ceiling and mumbled to himself. "Anime...really?"

Rogue started looking around frantically, "What the heck?!? Is someone hackin us, or did you forget to pay the electric bill, Stark!?!?"
Skuld looked up at the flickering lights, "Ummm... That's not me... I hope." The redhead just eased herself out of her embrace of Sabertooth, "I've heard of a couple producing sparks, but I think this is a bit ridiculous."
