Jessica moved along with Ren in her usual cat like grace. "An abandoned shelter? Sounds suitable for a night I suppose. I just hope that Synthic still has it. We chose not to take her into the void with us because she had not yet been associated with our little group yet so she was safer left out. I say we it was more Jilin really, he has a habit of doing that. I guess its that whole god complex of his. I mean the void was okay and all but it was so boring. There was quite literally nothing their except for us. It would have been better if someone was worth talking too but Ajax only has blood shed on his mind, Lucian is a womanizer, Victoria is always trying to tell me how to look sexier and that my bust isn't big enough, and don't get me started on the rest. It's like they all have the personality of a brick. Either way it is really nice being back in the real world with people and animals and hard candy." The hard candy that Synthic had given to Jessica had left a lasting impression. None of her companions really were that big on sweets. Jessica stopped upon reaching the little dwelling, "Well it isn't a castle but it will do for the night and in the morning I can scry for the pendant." The sun was lighting the sky on fire as it was finishing its descent and a slight yawn escaped Jessica's lips. She moved inside the little dwelling and looked around. For a moment her brow furrowed in concentration and she snapped her fingers. To cushy pallets appeared with pillows and a small fire to provide warmth and some light within the hut, "I know that they aren't the best in the world but its what my limited amount of magic for the day could allow, still more comfortable than laying on the ground."

Renata moved along side Jessica quietly, eyes watching their surroundings just in case. She was a bit jumpy of course. She wasn't sure of anything going on in the world except pretty much what Jessica had told her just now. Beyond that- yup absolutely clueless. But she enjoyed being around Jessica and it made her ease up some as they walked. Jessica was so full of life and energy and always had something to say that could make you smile. Most people next to Jessica looked like a mute hermit or something. She couldn't help, but to giggle. Yes, brick like people would definately not keep Jessica entertained. Not at all. Though, the mention of Ajax and Lucian, made her face fall into a dissatisfied pursing of the lips. She didn't exactly... like those two all that much. Not the fondest of memories with those guys.
Shaking her head of thoughts as the two came back to the shelter like dwelling, Ren nearly laughed. Ren was used to such accommodations, though, she had forgotten Jilin had practically raised Jessica for the last years and he had a rather... lavish place to say the least. Jess probably wasn't used to this kind of place. But she wasn't a priss about it either. Sitting down, pulling the pillow into her lap, Ren moved closer to the fire and to Jessica, having missed her. "Thanks Jessica," she said with a gentle, warm smile. Ren was always the type to mean what she said and whole hearted mean it. Not just halfheartedly. So although at times she was quiet and withdrawn, she would also wear her heart on her sleeve.

((Yeah I have no idea why I made her this talkative, kinda irritating sometimes.)) Jessica smiled broadly, "Oh it really isn't anything thats what friends do...right? I had always thought that friends were supposed to help each other. Oh well it doesn't really matter, if it isn't what friends do its what they should do so there." She finished her sentence with a nod. "Don't worry tomorrow we'll find the pendant Synthic is carrying and if she is in any trouble we'll get her out of it and if we can't get her out of it..." Jessica stopped partly not wanting to say what she had thought remembering that Jilin was not on Ren's top ten, "We'll have to go to Jilin. I mean I know that it isn't your favorite idea but whenever one of his minions is in trouble he goes out of his way to rescue them. I've seen it before. He takes it really personally when it comes to us getting hurt by other people. I mean I know that he doesn't seem like the nicest person in the world but he took good care of me so he can't be that horrible." She wanted desperately to change the subject. Before the war she had thought that Jilin was such a good person but since then slight doubts had been laced in her mind that made her question things. Like why was it that she had to force Ren to go to Zen if it had been the right thing. Somethings just weren't adding up anymore and Jessica was afraid of what that meant. "You know what Ren we still have to go and see the world after we find every one. Remember I said that once we were done at Delaro we would go and adventure around the world and see everything. Taste the clouds on the mountain tops, see the childish Fokiri in the forest, oh and swim with the fishies in the ocean." The thoughts made Jessica smile once more yearning once more for adventure.

((sorry, had a surgery on my arm and wasn't on in forevers! ))
Laying down on the ground by the warmth of the flames and fire, Renata's eyes shifted to a calm, light blue shade, listening to Jessica's rambles with a soft smile. She coudln't help, but wonder if anyone even noticed she was gone. She had been in like a coma state for months or something, so her just not being around, probably didn't even register in anyone's minds. Maybe Zayne's, but anyone else, she wasn't sure, and such thoughts brought a slight frown to her face. To be forgotten was never... never fun. It always hurt. But she tried to make light of it and smile and think good thoughts. SHe just hoped everyonr was safe... Daniel was safe and happy somewhere... Synthic too...
But the thought of Jilin pulled her mind back out thoughtfully. She did not really like him, but Jilin was one of those people who could twist words in such a way, he could possibly ask a person to kill themselves and they just might. Kind of creepy how he worked people's mind. But she had more... personal reasons for her disliking. As well as for Zen, who was at the top of the list. And it was just awful how trusting she was of people at times. To the point she would forgive her enemies pretty simply.
Listening to Jessica go on, a smile lit her face once more at the thought of seeing the world. Giving a small laugh, feeling sleepy, she nodded, a sigh escaping, "Alright... well let's just get some sleep before tomorrow... night," she said softly, eyes shutting as she drifted off to sleep by her friend's side, falling into a world of dreams...
~~~ Next morning~~~
Waking with a yawn, Renata sat back up the fire having died down considerable during the night. Rising from the pillow, she gathered their things, splashing her face with a bit of water to fully wake up. She could tell already, it was going to be a long and trying day. She was tempted to wake Jessica from her sleep, but decided she'd let her sleep in a bit more as she finished the travel preperations.
Jessica fell silent with a smile letting out a slight high pitched yawn before agreeing. The next day would be better or at least that was what the raven haired woman hoped. They would find Synthic and if anyone really knew what was going on she would. Right? She was the first person Jessica could think of who had been around long enough to know any of the world events like what actually happened to Zen and the true aftermath of his defeat. Jessica only hoped that Synthic still had her pendant. Jessica plopped down on the pallet and curled up bringing what cover she could up past her shoulders becoming nothing more than a lump under a sheet with a head. Soon her vibrant eyes closed to the fire and she was lost to the world of sleep with a smile.
The fire from the previous night was nothing more than embers and a pile of ash. Jessica's eyes opened slightly and caught the blurry visage of Renata. An elongated breath from her nose and forced her eyes shut. She really did not want to get up yet. No she wanted to sleep just a little longer and keep the obtrusive day light out as long as possible.
Batting the sleep from her eyes with a few rapid blinks, Renata notice the slight glimpse of a waking Jessica and let a smile light her features, eyes catching a warm shade of blue now. "Hey Jess, it's bout time to go," she said with a burst of energy, laying a hand on Jessica's shoulder to try and stir her a bit more from her dreary slumber.
So, she had to keep in mind the plan. Fine Synthic. That was today's goal. Also to find out what the heck was going on in this world would be nice as well. Yawning once more, shaking the sleep off, Ren couldn't help but worry slightly and think about the day- well today actually. She just felt like something was not right in the world, and maybe, her friend would know when they found her. And it would be nice to see a familiar face once again.
Jessica groaned slightly something intangible. She tried as hard as she could to ignore Ren just for a little longer but to no avail. Finally she gave up and sat up still slightly groggy and rubbing her eyes. She placed her hand on the ground and a cup of water seemed to come out of know where. After drinking the cup she felt the moisture return to her mouth and throat. "Okay." Her joints were stiff still so she commenced to popping them one by one till she was loose again.
Jessica's eyes scanned the area to remind her where she was at that moment. "So yeah Synthic. There are two ways to do this. One is to focus on where she is while the other is to focus on where something she owns is." She touched the ground and a bowl of crystal clear water appeared on the ground. "Which should we try first?" She was willing to try both but she didn't know which would provide the best results.
Lightly Jessica closed her eyes thinking brushing her dainty fingers through the water. There was a slight spark at first and then a few. Then they started to wind around Jessica's body until she seemed to be nothing but pure energy connected to the water. Then she flowed into the water and was gone. into the mirror like water that seemed undisturbed for the moment. Gone to this place but apparent somewhere else. [to Jillin's Castle]
Aleksi's head hit the bar hard. The bandits he had attacked were quicker than he thought. He felt his forehead where it had hit, blood was on his fingers. He heard weapons drawn on the street behind him. He rolled over disoriented.
Ciara was walking down the street, not noticing anything unusual. She saw a group of bandits running down the street, and she followed them to see Aleski laying on the ground. Ciara ran closer, putting her hand on the spirit cards in the bag at her waist. "Blood!" she exclaimed quietly, seeing blood on the ground.
Aleksi stood, wavering. A hand grasped at his collar, picking him up and tossing him again at the bar. Hitting his back on it, he spun over it into a horse water trough. He coughed up the water that flooded his mouth. 'Dammit.' he thought. 'I cant react quick enough.'
"Ah!" Ciara gasped. She tried to run to the man's side, ignoring the bandits so long as they didn't attack her. She completely forgot about using her cards.
A bandit slid in front of Ciara. Blocking her path. A few other bandits congregated around her. Aleksi was kicked onto his back. He slowly got up yet again. His disorientation faded, and he began to analyze and strategize.
Ciara backed up, but felt more bandits behind her, trapping her. She reached to her belt, and tried to take out one of her spirit cards. Her fingers were trembling, and the card stuck on the side of the bag. "No, no," Ciara whispered.
Aleksi, jumped onto the bar he had hit so many times, and balanced on it. He needed to help the girl. Transforming his arm into a long weighted chain, he shot it at one of the bandits, it wrapped around his leg, which Aleksi tugged, pulling him over. Aleksi then used the bandit as extra weight to swing himself gracefully next to the girl, kicking another bandit over. "Are you alright?" he said cordially, turning his arm back to normal.
