Logan paused halfway down the stairs, hearing what sounded like a small cat getting stepped on. He glanced back up the staircase and lingered for a moment before turning around and going back up them. He poked his head into the hallway and noticed Teddy down the hall farther. "You sure you don't need any help?" he offered.

When Circe had last been seen retreating into her room she had barely been 15 years old and all legs and obviously a child. Opening her door to come out for the first time in four years, she was barely recognizable as the same person. Standing at 5' 6" inches tall her child's form had turned into nice curves of an adults body. Long brown hair fell down her back in a curling waves down past to her knees. Wearing a simple off the shoulder shirt and pair of form fitting jeans, even after all these years her skin was still the color of light chocolate and around her neck she wore a pair of goggles that were so much worse than what the government had. A baby project of hers, the simple item would keep mutants from being able to use their powers if they were within about two feet of her and any power cast at her would be negated. Of course the students did know this. She doubted there was anyone left who had been there long enough to remember who she was. Heading down the stairs and over to the library her projects had been finished earlier that morning and now she was bored. Perhaps a good good book would help for a couple of minutes, then she should write her family. Tripping over a chair, her grace had not improved after all these years. Circuit had never been the most graceful of people unless it had to do with electronics. Swearing loudly as she hit the library floor she sat up debating whether she preferred to just go back to her room, or better yet grab one of her inventions.

Marcus let out a quick sigh as he lifted himself off the ground. He was about to lead Akido to where the springs were, when a thought occurred to him. Since Marcus didn't plan to actually go in the water, he could simply remove his boots and rolls his pant legs up, but Akido might need a different set of clothes. Looking to Akido he asked "Hey, do you need to go back to the room to change or anything?"

Teddy jumped at the teacher's familiar voice and tried in vain not to start smoking again. Rushing foward, she snatched her backpack from where it landed and nodded. "You wouldn't think it would be so hard, but sadly..." she trailed off, refusing to point out the obvious. It was bad enough that she got lost on a single floor of rooms, she wasn't about to admit it.

Luna mouth dropped, this wasn't what she was expecting. She also still didn't want to leave but she did notice that Lucas left. Acting like she was following she transformed into a ladybug and flew over to Cole's shoulder.

Thinking about it for a moment, Akido shook her head, "I should be good. I don't plan on getting too wet anyway and I can change when we are done." Looking down the way it was turning out quite nice. Though she was still conflicted about just how long she should stay there. Getting to close to people was always a risk and she seemed to be making friends faster than normal and that was always a problem. While she liked the school so far she thought it would be nice to go back to the forest when she was done, give people time to forget they ever knew someone called Akido. Looking to him to lead the way there was a set smile on her face though her true smile was hidden as she thought about what was to come.
BJ poked the desecrated remains of her pillow frowning when one of the claws went through the tip of her glove. This could be a problem especially when it came to simple tasks like shaking hands and opening doors. She hated how unpredictable her powers were and it was easier to claim being human but it was a nice change to be able to turn into a bear and roam the woods. People ran, she could chase them. People look confused when a bear was laughing at them. Hunting season was a pain but hey, everyone had problems. Giving up on the shift she decided she would just have to stay as close to the border as possible without leaving. Hopping off her bed she headed out the room aiming for the door but couldn't help but pause as someone complained loudly, I hate this! Looking she saw a red head girl who looked a bit younger than her standing by the front door. Walking over she asked, "Are you ok?"

"Oh ok." Marcus said with a grin. He had to pause for a second to remember which way they needed to go from here to get to the springs. After getting his boundaries, he set off to the springs. Shortly after he began walking he noticed a bit of a tightening feeling in his upper back. He suspected part of the device attached to his spine was giving him trouble. It wasn't a rare occurrence, being that all the metal devices Marcus sported were home made they occasionally malfunction. Each section of Marcus's spine had a piece of the device attached to it. And attached to each section of the device were two wires that ran under the skin and into his rib cage. The point of this was to amplify the vibrations that erupt from his chest. Though this device is is all connected as one, it makes him no less flexible. However, after time the wires can twist and coil, which will cause irritation until they are straightened. No doubt, when Marcus tackled Akido is when this happened. Marcus would simply need to find some time alone so he could remove the faulty piece of the device and correct it.

Logan couldn't help but smile slightly at the girl's obvious irritation. He quickly checked himself, however, and stepped out into the hallway. "It's alright, you shouldn't feel bad," he comforted coming over to her. "It's your first day and you're probably a bit overwhelmed. That in itself can probably make some seemingly easy tasks seem quite difficult." He came up beside her and looked down to her face. "Now, where did you say your room was?" The shock was apparent on Cole's face. Last he remembered, his mom was afraid of having another child. He thought he would never be a brother and the idea that his father would come to the school to tell him that he had a sister was the farthest thing from his mind. He noticed Luna fly to his shoulder, and he found slight comfort in it, but he still had a hard time speaking despite that. "Wha....what?" he stuttered. "When did this happen?!" James put his hands up in front of him, palms forward, in a sort of 'I surrender' stance. "I know, I know, it's unexpected. After you had been in school for a year or so, she decided that she was willing to try for another child. I'm sure that you know she's wanted a girl for a long time....But she had always been afraid to have one because she didn't want it to turn out like....well.....like..." "Like me," Cole finished or him. He knew his father wouldn't admit it, but his mother was ashamed of him. She didn't do a very good job of hiding it, after all. He had known since he was quite young. "You don't have to hide it, dad, I know that she was afraid of me." James seemed to grow uncomfortable at Cole's words. He didn't know how to respond to that. "Well, Cole, you have to understand...." he tried to explain, breaking eye contact with his son. "When a woman gives birth for the first time and the baby turns out...well...unnatural, it's very difficult." "Alright dad, I get it...." Cole said, almost harshly. James nodded, slowly making eye contact again. "Right...." he muttered. "Well, her name is Katherine. And she's about 6 months old. If you'd like, I could send you pictures...." "Thanks dad, but I think I'm good," Cole said, looking away. "Thanks for stopping by to tell me and everything. I guess....I'll see you again if mom ever has another kid." With that, he turned and left the office. He didn't bother to see if his dad was done speaking to him or not, he didn't care to talk anymore.

Ayan jumped at the sudden question. She turned around, eyes wide, and saw another girl- a student, most likely- standing behind her. "Uh... oh, yeah..." she stammered. "Er... I was just looking for the office. I just got back from a vacation, and I haven't gotten my schedule yet..." She stared at the ground, not meeting the other girl's eyes. She felt blood rush to her cheeks and knew she was blushing. She cursed herself silently. Why was she so easily embarassed?

Before the door could even shut Luna had flown off his shoulder and transformed, "You can walk away from that!" She knew where he was coming from except she'd never exposed herself for what she is, the sun was going down and she could feel her fangs coming in, "Besides I want to see pictures of your little sister! Then we can make fun of her and play a fun game." She laughed to herself, "What mutant powers would she get?"

A loud snort came from atop one of the bookshelves moments after Circuit tripped. This was followed a few moments later by a yawn, and the words "Don't you know you're supposed to be quiet in a library?" Xavier spoke sarcastically as he adjusted his position to one of sitting. Can't get a decent amount of sleep anywhere these days... The young boy brushed away one of his bangs, his right eyebrow raising when he saw who he was speaking to "Well, if it isn't the hermit; and what makes us all so deserving of the honor of your presence?" Xavier asked, his tone still sarcastic. Not like that was anything new of course.
"Log #234 of the 'Seed' project. The implants failed to control the creatures wild nature, however I have found something I believe shall stabilize the beasts; unfortunately, with this new discovery I must scrap the previous line" Lucifer's voice slowly grew more sadistic "I've decided to let them by the new products first test. So far all that is left of Project #12 is his arms..." One could only wonder what Lucifer was up to. Though one thing was certain, it could lead only to pain, and blood.
Luke stepped out of his room, still half bent as he began to make his way down the hall. Curse cold air not working on my body! Luke thought, though he knew he didn't really mean it. Life as a hydromancer would be a hell of a lot tougher without resistance to extreme cold. Unfrozen water didn't actually HAVE that many uses unless you were near a large body of it. "Alright...not hungry... Kat's probably pissed...my new roommate ran off with her new shadow...how can a place with so many things to do in it be this boring!?" Luke suddenly yelled the last part, throwing his arms up in the air.

Sitting up she ignored the first part as she got to her feet but there was something about that voice that was familiar. Then it clicked, she knew that sarcastic tone anywhere, "You of all people should know that knowledge should come before having a few acquaintances." Pushing to her feet, Circuit was bored and it showed in her voice, though to many people her voice was deceiving. If they truly bored her as much as it seemed she would have walked away from them without a word. Even hermits, as he chose to call her, needed human interaction after a while. "Besides, I was bored." Walking down one of the aisles she ran a finger down the books, "Anything worth reading come up lately?" Since her computer technology was years beyond what anyone else had she wasn't looking for technical books, more just something at a high enough level to amuse her.
BJ listened to the explanation and while it wasn't a good one in her book to be this upset she let it go. "Oh well spazo was showing me around a bit and thankfully showed me where the office was just a few minutes ago. I just got here today." Running a gloved hand through her hair she was irritated by the claws. You could only declare being human so long without running into problems. Of course she had been there less than an hour and this was a pretty big problem.
Following a few steps behind there was a smile set on her face as she hummed an old tune. Slipping off her flip flops to carry them lightly in one hand, she had not intention of getting her clothes wet but she was still planning on getting in for at least a moment. It had been forever since she had seen a hot spring last.

Cole stopped in his steps and swung around to face Luna. The look on his face was not that of fun and games. Seeing his father again reminded him how glad he was that he didn't have to deal with his mother anymore. And, from the looks of it, his father wasn't far off the mark of 'irritating parental unit'. "I don't want to talk to him anymore," he huffed. "Sister or no sister, I think I was better off without any contact with either of my parents." James let out a disappointed sigh. Somehow, he had known that his son wouldn't take kindly to the news. He had only hoped that the school had changed him. He glanced over to the empty desk nearby and placed a small envelope on it with a sticky note attached. On the sticky note, it read 'Please give to Cole when he's cooled down'. Damian let out a small, cat-like sigh as he finally decided what he should do. 'Excuse me? Miss?' he thought, sending his words to Evening's mind. He only hoped that he didn't frighten her too much. 'Don't be alarmed, please....It's, erm....Mr. Catz,"

"Depends on what you're looking for" Xavier answered, sounding almost as bored as Circuit "Doubtful you'll need tech books. The science books are behind anything I could tell you, especially about genetics" While Circuit had taken an interest in hardware and software, Xavier had taken a heavier interest then the beings behind the devices "About the only things from recent years you might find interesting are a few novels. A nice distraction from all the over thinking. At least for a few hours" Xavier said, finally deciding to drop down off the bookshelf.

A good novel would be nice. While she had started another couple of projects within her room over the past few days, few if any would be appreciated by the students here and he was a right, a distraction would be welcome, "Sounds fine. You know this library better than I. Which way am I heading." Watching him drop down she remembered something else, "Oh a bit ago I saw some commotion on one of the cameras outside my room. What was that all about?" She knew something had happened but at the time hadn't really cared about what it was since she had been rebuilding one of her hard drives so it would run faster and hold more information without the bulk. With rooms the size they were given, even having one to herself, she had to make the most of what space she could find.
