Iris Sighed. "Well, It all started with my father getting sick." She explained as she watched Andi. Andi was someone she could be attracted to, but she wasn't sure.

The Doctor stepped back. Not this, not again. "Master!" he shouted. "The last time you attempted this, the world, with you in it almost came to an end! Why would you attempt such a thing again?!"

The Doctor's face showed his horror. "That's absolutely..."

"Insane." he thought. Now a look of sorrow and tiredness showed on The Doctor's face. "It's the drums isn't it. You always hear them..." he trailed off and shook his head.


"Just stop this! Timelords already have the ability to regenerate! Why would you choose to do this crazy thing?"

The Doctor couldn't take any more. He ran over to the shriveled-up man in the mechanical chair and knocked him off. "Master, you must stop this." he demanded with a growling undertone.

As Iris told her tale Andi found herself admiring how she'd handled seeing her mother. It must have been so hard to let her go, even knowing she was going to die anyway. She really was quite marvelous to face all this. Andi started wondering about her own birth parents on Gallifrey. They must be dead now...and her baby brother...dead. All dead. They reached the workshop as that last thought really hit her. They were dead. The enormity of that loss and all that she had become decended on her all at once. Ever since she'd opened that watch, she'd been trying to be the powerful timelady. But the truth was, she was a child...and she was scared. As it all hit her, she sat down against the wall and started crying.

The Professor was guiding his tardis through the corridor thinking about the death of the timelords, galifrey, and the eye of harmony. He remembers from the Doctor's memories how how they died and what he could do to prevent it but just to think about it and how in one universe the timelords died takes a toll on one as he silently greives for the loss of the timelord race and all they accomplished. He wish he knew more about the war but he didn't, all he managed to get was what the Doctor did and how it all ended and how he regenerated, not how the war started, and how it all seemed lost. He should have a talk with Andi about all this, it should be hitting her as well.......but not right now, right now he has to pilot through this death trap and stop the master from endangering the universe.

"There is something left Andi. You have your memories of them, you have the Professor, you have me, you have parents that love you. With that you can carry on and honor the people you lost. Think about them with every invention you invent, every discovery you make. That's what matters, moving on. And that's what you will do. I know you can." Iris said.

As she cried into Iris's shoulder, Andi realized she was right. She wasn't alone. She had a mentor in the Professor, and she had Kathryn and Jim. Even though she had lost one family, she still had them. And there was Iris. She was quickly becoming a dear friend. She might become more. As she thought that last, she realized it was true. Iris was just the type she'd always been attracted to. And she seemed to reciprocate...
Anyway, she's calmed down now. and now she can acknowledge her feelings and her memories and procces them without being overwhelmed by them. She gives Iris a gentle hug to let her know she's all right and moves to stand up.
"Thank you for that. I didn't mean to fall apart on you but i just...anyway thank you. You reminded that no matter what I've lost, I'm not alone and....Oh my god. Iris there are others!" She rushes to the workbench and starts madly adjusting her sonic flashlight. She has to use the energy this thought has given her. "I wasn't the only one! When Master Thiren used the Chameleon Arch on me, I wasn't the only one! There were, I don't know, maybe a dozen others that he sent to safety as well." While she talks, she's wiring and twisting and banging on things. "And I'm going to find them Iris. I'm going to learn everythingI can and I'm going to find them!" On the last word something explodes and she is startled back to here and now. She coughs a little on the smoke as she tries to make sure nothing has been damaged.
"Oh my. Sorry about all that Iris. My mind was moving so fast for a moment there, that I could barely keep up with it."

"Ugh!" the Doctor whined, trying to struggle but too weak to do so.

"Master...." he said barely above a whisper, reaching out his shirveled hand.

"I've got to stop this at any rate...." thought The Doctor.
