Chris Custard ((Well, thats a double edged sword if you want to think about things literally. Your character would be on the floor, and dead.)) Even if it did manage to reach my charecter before it stopped grow which it wouldn't !! It would still be violating the rules to kill my charecter!!!

((You're the one killing your character, whats keeping the plant moving is that the plant is still growing and pushing the (frozen) dead parts upwards. You're pretty much responsible if you're character dies, as its the only logical thing that can happen))

Konstantine's blinked her green eyes a few times as she noticed the man in front of her. Without a single word, she could already know what he had in mind. She quickly tied up her hair, an unnaturally bright shade of red, and began to slowly and cautiously advance on him. After only a few steps, she stopped to kick off her sandals which had caught her attention by the annoying sound they made when they scraped the ground. Unhindered by footwear, she continued to walk a slow circle around the man, making no action except to watch for the first that he would make. . .

Ryudo was battle hardened, and extremely skilled in his craft and abilities. One as old as he does not live so long and not have a mighty ammount of control over his or her powers. Ryudo used his opponent's stalling and waiting to increse his own power levels for his first series of attacks. Since he had just started this process as his opponent had begun moving, no outward sign of his charging would be evident to his opponent, and his head barely moved while keeping his eyes locked onto his opponent, watching her every move with caution.
He was ready for just about anything she decided to throw at him...

Konstantine watched her opponent until her patience had run dry. It seemed she would have to make the first move. She charged forward, her bare feet pounding the cold ground beneath. Bereft of any weapon of any kind, her body moved with all of its natural grace, flowing from one step into another and picking up speed. No more than three feet from her opponent, Konstantine raised her right fist and in the same moment, as if out of thin air, a katar appeared, gripped tightly in her fist. With this weapon, Konstantine struck at her opponent, aiming for his chest while her left hand, with a weapon to match, followed up with a blow to the gut.

My Konstantine Konstantine watched her opponent until her patience had run dry. It seemed she would have to make the first move. She charged forward, her bare feet pounding the cold ground beneath. Bereft of any weapon of any kind, her body moved with all of its natural grace, flowing from one step into another and picking up speed. No more than three feet from her opponent, Konstantine raised her right fist and in the same moment, as if out of thin air, a katar appeared, gripped tightly in her fist. With this weapon, Konstantine struck at her opponent, aiming for his chest while her left hand, with a weapon to match, followed up with a blow to the gut. Ryudo grinned as his opponent charged right towards him, seemingly unarmed. Now while most would think that she had nothing up her sleave, Ryudo was no fool. No one would blindly charge at their opponent unless they had a specific reason for doing so, and he was wary of this. So he made two simple movements. He took a single step backwards as his opponent was about ten feet away from him and raised his right hand, and curled it into a fist. As he performed the second action, a black circle appeared on the ground a couple steps or so in front of Konstantine as a burst of black shadowy energy erupted from the small circle, forming a solid formation of black substance directly in the girl's path. With the speed at which she was going, and the speed of the attack itself, the young lady would have trouble changing direction quickly enough to avoid the solid structure. And even if she tried, chances were that a small part of her body such as her leg would be hit on the formation, causing her to trip. The black formation was reasonably sturdy and could take the force of a person ramming into it at full speed, so trying to break through it would have also had a low likelihood of success as well. Ryudo then prepared himself for his opponent's next course of action and readied himself for a couple different outcomes...

Without skipping a beat, Konstantine halted the plan she had in mind and jumped at the black pillar which suddenly stood before her. Not being much taller than she was, she might sail over it without much trouble; however, she had something else in mind. She jumped and grabbed the far side of the pillar and kicked her feet off the side to push her body upward. Then, being the daring acrobat that she was, she performed a handstand on the top of the pillar for just a moment before continuing with the momentum and jumping off the opposite side. As she landed on the ground once more, she thrust her arms forward and synthesized into the air in front of her several foot-long, narrow spikes. Upon gaining physical form, the metal projectiles flew through the air in the direction of the man in black.

She jumped and grabbed the far side of the pillar and kicked her feet off the side to push her body upward. Then, being the daring acrobat that she was, she performed a handstand on the top of the pillar for just a moment ... Ryudo had expected at least some of his opponent's reaction, and so he acted. As his opponent moved up and began to move over the top of the pillar, he did one simple thing. He charged the energy within the solidified pillar with shadow energy, and the solid pillar detonated with enough force to blacken and char the ground around it. As the pillar exploded, it broke into dozens and dozens of razor sharp pieces, each sharp enough to cut skin and impale body parts. The detonation process was as quick as the snap of the fingers that created it, and the only outside warning one would get would be the shattering explosion itself. Since the pillar detonated in the midst of the handstand, several shards would head for Knstantine's eyes abd face, while others would move to lacerate her arms. If she managed to move over the top, then she'd bit hit in the back of the neck, head, and her upper back as well. Ryudo then used the small period of chaos to move back away from where the explosion had taken place, using small bits of psychic power to move the pieces of shrapnel away from his body. Heh...

Once again, Konstantine's forethought had been foiled and her quick thinking hadn't seen what was to come. Her hands had just left the pillar's surface when it exploded and when she hit the ground, she hit hard. She felt the pain everywhere at once. The shards of whatever that cursed object was stuck into her back and arms and legs. Her knees ached, she found, because she had actually landed on them instead of her feet. She started to push herself up from the ground but stopped suddenly when she found there was another jagged piece of the former pillar in the palm of one hand. She gritted her teeth and, at last, she rose to her feet. Konstantine's eyes bore into the man's skull as she tried to push an expression of anger through the intense pain. Although she couldn't see her own face, she imagined she had failed.

Anger, pain, hope, they were such silly emotions in most creatures. He was unsure of what this girl was, but she clearly bled and felt pain like any normal animal. He wasn't assuming that she was human, even though her outter appearance appeared as such. Ryudo himself was not what he appeared to be, after all. The girl was now on the ground trying to regain her bearings, and being the kind of fighter that he was, Ryudo was not going to sit by and wait for her to get up, he was going to kick her while she was down if it meant defeat.
As he jumped away from the blast and landed a larger distance away from his opponent, he had charged up even more energy for his next few attacks. The pillar hadn't taken too terribly much energy because of the time that he'd had to charge up the energy needed, and he still had quite a bit left. Adding to an already ready arsenal was a good tactical plan in any battle, so thats what he did. By the time he had landed, he was already ready to attack again with his lightning quickness.
His right hand trailed in front of his body as he had jumped, and the opened palm shot a blast of energy from it as he landed. The energy was dark blue in color and split up into seven separate smaller blasts of energy that sped towards the injured Konstantine. Each one was strong enough to blow a person off ballance, and hot enough to burn and sear skin wherever they hit, and as an added bonus, the seven small balls of energy were controled by Ryudo's mind which would lead them to their target even if it moved out of the way...

Konstantine watched her opponent and tried to move to evade, but she found her legs wouldn't move. She looked about and found she had already fallen back down to the ground again. She cursed her twice misfortune, it never crossing her mind that it was her inability to properly strategize and not luck. However, she did realize that she couldn't dwell on what had already happened. Quickly, Konstantine took a breath and let it out with a shrill scream that pierced the air. Her mind focused on the fight as the pain seemed to drift away from her. She jumped to her feet and waved her left arm as the sorcerous spheres neared, sending them colliding with the ground instead of their intended target. She glared once more at her opponent with a different sort of expression. Neither anger nor pain was on her face as her green eyes began to glow and her skin shifted to a silver hue. By the sickly smile on her face, one might think she was rather enjoying herself.
