Vanessa looked up at her two helpers, and smiled politely. "Thanks. They just don't make plastic bags like they used to, huh?" She noticed that one was a man, and the other a little boy. Father and son, perhaps?

he smiled then said, "They haven't made them that way in a long time. Sad that they make them like this now, weak, thin, and breakable. why don't they make it out of leather? now thats strong, durable and thick yet oddly smells bad." he picked up a jar of pickles then said, "So how are you going to carry all of this?"

Vanessa blinked. She hadn't thought of that yet. "Ummm...my purse!" She opened up the small handbag, but it was obvious that not everything would fit inside.

Blushing, Vanessa had to admit he was right. "Yeah..." She grinned sheepishly. "Well, I can probably carry the rest of it. It'll be awkward, but I can manage."

Vanessa smiled. Yep. Father and son. "Well, I think I've got it. Thank you very much, though. And good luck with the adoption."

Lynn sighed after looking out the window at the woman that Kyfen and Yata had gone to help. She went back into the kitchen to grab a few paper bags and then headed outside to hand then to the woman. "Yata," she said when she was in hearing range, "must you help every mis-fortunate soul you see on the street?"

"Thanks." Vanessa took the bags from the girl, and began packing the groceries into them. Despite the calm simplicity outside, Vanessa's mind was working a million miles an hour. That girl is ten, but she talks like an educated adult. And the other man treats her as an equal. Which means they're probably Immortal. Now the only question is, do I want to reveal myself to them, or not?

((just sayin... it is technically against the rules.))
"Mmm hmm. Your Welcome." Lynn said, still eating her half finished omelet. Even if no one had noticed, she still had the plate in her hands, even when she walked outside, "It's getting freaking crowded out here, you know that? If you guys are going to do anything, you should hurry it up. All the mor- er, people," she said with disgust. She had to treat the mortals as equals. She never would actually do it, "are going to be in the streets later. Don't want him," She nodded at Kyfen, "to get lost, now do we?"

Vanessa sighed, her worst fear confirmed. She finished packing things into the bags, and stood up again, ready to go. "Thanks again, for all the help. And don't worry. You haven't been helping a filthy Mortal," she remarked sarcastly. She turned, and headed back on her way.
