I have to disagree with a few of you when you say that Japanese is pretty. I always hated learning Japanese. Some of the words to me are just so ugly.. >___< But even so, I was forced by parents to go to Japanese school.
French to me is pretty.

Proudly_Jewish smoky_and_juliet1 They made a list of the prettiest languages and I'm proud to say that Estonian came in second (w00t!) and Italian in first! smile Do you know where I can find a liink to this list? I'd like to take a look at it 3nodding ... and why the hell does anyone think Italian is the prettiest language around? gonk Snowstarr02 I have to disagree with a few of you when you say that Japanese is pretty. French to me is pretty. I guess it's because of the force. I used to hate English because I had to learn it in school (- and because I had lousy English teachers). I learn Japanese on my own, so I have to motivate myself. And I do so by showing myself how cute/beautiful/funny it can be.

Following the cliche, I think French is the most beautiful language. x) I've been studying it for 3 years and every time I speak it it calms me down somehow... I also love Spanish, it's equally good for singing, speaking (some accents sound like you're singing, though <3) and, if need be, screaming.

Hmm. Dutch, and German. People often think German sounds harsh, but when spoken by native speakers, it actually sounds so beautiful. I love Dutch too, though I'm a little biased on that one.

I really like French. If I had a choice, I would rather be fluent in French than Spanish. Huh? I never knew people thought Spanish was pretty. surprised

blue_icicle I find Hebrew kind of lulling. That's an astonishment. Most of the people dislike Hebrew because of the "Kh". eek PacificX cat_eyed_devil sexy language: German (especially when spoken by men)
That is so true about german 3nodding I agree. xp ~ Russian is a beautiful language, mostly in poetry. Polish as well. I also like Finnish and Norwegian, but the most beautiful language I've ever heard is Icelandic.

I really think it's either French or Italian, any of the romance languages really. I find that French words flow really well into each other, and Italian just has really nice accents.
I find the Germanic languages kind of...sharp, with all the abrupt stops and accents and whatnot. Japanese and Chinese I find sound very raw, throaty. I don't know if I make too much sense right now, but that's just how I think.

Waah! I can’t choose just one! gonk
I find Japanese extremely beautiful, although, I have to admit that I didn’t like Japanese at first. It sounded weird, ugly and I never thought I would ever like it. But…now I’m sitting here studying for a Japanese test tomorrow. xd Korean is so incredibly pretty too and everything flows sooo well. I couldnät help but falling in love with it the first time I heard it. (In a Loveholic song if you're interested.)
I’ve always loved Norwegian. Always. It’s sounds…way too adorable! I always get so happy when listening to Norwegian. whee Icelandic...well...The first time I heard it, and I knew it was Icelandic, was when I wanted to see the third Pokémon movie in all of the languages on my DVD (English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Icelandic.) I was completely blown away! I just don't know how to explain it...I just...fell in love with it and the way it sounded. sweatdrop
I like German a lot too. Yes, German. I don’t find it as harsh as almost everyone says. o_o;; And I do find my native language Swedish pretty too, but it really depends the dialect. Some are just downright hideous. x-x
And as most others here I got a soft spot for French! 4laugh heart

Hmmm.. What do I think is the prettiest language?
First, I'd have to say French. (Of course.) Maybe afterwards Swedish and then Dutch.
When I visited Sweden I really got a taste for the language. It's really beautiful to me.. I'd love to learn it one day.
Dutch is adorable and so.. I don't even know how to describe it! I beg my Dutch friend to speak to me in his native tongue, but he hardly does. Something about being embarrassed. =S He's ridiculous sometimes.
Although, most languages I can't understand well sound pretty to me. ><
