"He'll be fine," Haradhel murmured, putting one hand to her son's forehead just to make sure that he didn't have a fever. "As soon as the tooth is through, you won't even know how painful it was for him."

She leaned forward slightly and pressed her lips gently to her son's brow, rocking him back and forth soothingly.

"Well, it's time for his bed anyways," Elrohir commented, "maybe you should just change him and put him to bed, that way by the time the rest of us go to sleep he might have stopped crying."

Haradhel nodded thoughtfully. "Yes," she murmured, I think that would be a good idea. It might help him to quiet down. For his first teeth he would always chew on his blanket ... but now he doesn't like to do that."

And as the toddler continued to wail in her arms, she stroked his head lovingly.

Donovan looked back at her and rolled his eyes as he sat back looking through his pockets inside of his coat.

"You know I do tend to clean out my pockets every once in a while," he told her, "I probably don't even have it anymore."

He muttered keeping things in his pocket no point in scaring anyone at the dinner table.

"Nope..." he murmured hearing some metal clink, "Not that pocket...."

Lin leaned over, stood up on the chair and put her hand into the outer pocket that was on his chest, it was hidden and well sewn so most wouldn't have noticed unless you spent your young childhood riding around in them. She pulled out a cloth, unwrapping it, inisde was an eight figure teething ring.

"Looking for this?"
"Thank you," he muttered, "So I still have Jin's teething ring, I thought I put it back into the freezer."

"Materials that can't be found here," Kara murmured, "So it would be hard to explain, but it's soft and when we can get Yue to, we get him to cool it a bit since Jin likes that. It's just something that's soft and squishy. We got it actually a month after our first visit to this world, because Jin kept trying to gnaw on everything."

Haradhel smiled at Lin and took the ring from her, holding it just in front of her still-crying son.

"What do you think, hm?" she cooed to him softly, tapping his fingers with it. "Something to chew on?"

The boy opened his eyes and looked at the toy warily, the feel of it completely taking him by surprise. He had never felt anything like it before, and he was a curious boy. He reached out and took it from his mother's hand, turning it around in his grip for a few moments as he examined it, his tears stopping, but drool still flowing from the corner of his red mouth. Finally he stuck it into his mouth and started to gnaw on it.

A shudder shook the boy's body as his tears ceased completely, and he leaned against his mother's chest and rubbed his eyes sleepily.

Haradhel smiled brightly. "That's amazing," she murmured. "Better than a blanket. Thank you very much!"

Elrohir chuckled. "So we will be able to sleep tonight. I'm glad."

Haradhel smiled. "Well, thank you for it," she said again, softly. "He was worse than any of the others when he first started teething, and nothing we did could do anything to help him, it seemed."

She put the child's head to her shoulder and stroked his hair lovingly. "I've never seen him quiet down so quickly."

Without being told, Arwen began to clear the table, knowing that her mother would soon be putting Arahad to bed. Ahren moved to help, but Adan jumped to his feet and brushed off the back of his pants.

"I have to get back home," he announced, "but Mama wouldn't like it if I went alone. Does anyone want to come with me?"

Kara giggled, "I'll come with, and then we can walk back together," she smiled up at Donovan, "And I'm sure the girls will make sure they get themselves to bed right?"

The worse that could happen was that the two were just laying in bed doing something else.

Miyu nodded at her grandmother, they would be good.
