Getting up, and feeling all sore Rokugi was glad he had learned the technique. He felt a bit ashamed of having forgotten to use an item as a replacement, which was the whole idea, but at least he knew he could perform it if need be. With his face all red and hands tight to his sides, the young boy bowed at Yuki " Sorry Sensei, I promise it wont happen again" Once again Hamma was giving the next class and although he wasnt as thrilled as with his Ninjutsu lesson he felt he had enough joy for one day and some self sacrifice was due. Rolling his long sleeves back and with his left hand scratched an itch on his right arm. Bowing his head once again at the Sensei, he walked out the backyard to see if he could figure where was the next class going to be held

With nothing more then a slight nod to the women, the girl turned her back and walked out of the house and down the pathway. She didn't know what she was getting herself into, but today was just an off day for her, so she just shrugged and kept on walking.

Karite wasnt sure how easy this was going to be but he would try anything if it meant he could get stronger. As he closed his eyes he begin ti imagine himself like he did when he learned the Bushin no Jutsu in the academy. It was hard considering he had changed a lot, but he tried to get a good image. As he placed the seals together he focused his chakra through his feet to mold the earth. As he felt his chakra leave him, he became dizzy for a second. It took a lot of chakra to make one clone. He didnt see how Yuki-sama made them so easily. Opening his eyes he looked over to see a very short copy of himself with short wild green hair. It was a bad copy of his younger self but it was standing there none the less. "I think it needs more work Yuki-sama."

Digging in the confines of her large white overcoat, Yuki produced a small scroll along with an ink pen. Pulling out a pair of reading glasses, which not many people saw Yuki wear, the woman began to review the scroll. As Karite molded the earth, Yuki looked over the top of her glasses. "Aye. It needs a lot more work, my darling. Its more infusing your chakra into the earth, rather than molding the earth with your chakra," Yuki explained to him as she turned her head back down to the scroll.

Sitting down the boy needed to take a break. It was hard work trying to master a jutsu with such little chakra. He wouldn't be able to do much unless he built up the amount of chakra he had in his system before the next time he needed its aid. He had relied so heavily on his hand to hand skills that he had completely forgotten about his chakra. Now that he was suing it he could see how difficult it was to master. "I dont know if I have enough chakra to do this Yuki-sama. That crappy clone took a lot out of me." The boy wasnt lying, he was almost tapped, but then again he wasnt at a full tank when he started. He could possibly pull out two clones but it would be pushing it in battle.

Sitting down and looking at the blue sky the poetic lion thought about his future. Looking down his silver eyes fell on the Anbu sitting in front of him. It must be something to be an ANBU. He wished he could be an ANBU like Yuki-sama. Big dreams so for just making it to genin. He wondered what it took to be a ANBU like Yuki-sama. It must be harder than being Kage. Kage sit in their office all day and do paperwork. ANBU handle the dangerous missions. Maybe even do a little free-lance assassinations here and there. That would be the life, just Kore and him roaming the world taking on whoever popped up to protect innocent lives. Real heros, instead of island zeros. Focusing on his mentor, the woman he taught him almost every shinobi discipline he held to he asked one question he could never fathom. "Yuki-sama, what does it take to kill a person?" He had manage to destroy a Meho or two, but beyond them. He had never killed anyone outside of that battle. "To be an ANBU you must of killed a lot of people along the way. What is it like to be a real shinobi is what I am asking I guess."

Maya found her way thru the Tenmoki compound easily enough - rather, Baki sniffed out Karite and led her to him. Bowing respectfully to Yuki, Maya stood behind Karite and almost let out a frustrated snarl at his question. But she kept quiet, knowing that she was not masking her presence. Karite would pick up on it, and if Yuki wasn't too annoyed with maybe losing a few chunks of dirt (which, by the looks of the area, wasn't the case), she'd pummel him right there, just so Yuki could tend to him immediately. She debated asking Yuki to look at Kore too, but Kore was Karite's responsibility. She stood, arms crossed, hair a wild mess, and Baki at her side.

Karite was waiting for an answer letting his chakra build when he felt the most dangerous feeling in his life. The hairs on the back of his next stood up and the feeling in his gut started to grow into a pain. The tattoo on his chest hurt and the scar on his face burned. All indications of one thing, Nee-chan had come back. The feeling he was getting wasnt very friendly and that by far was the scariest part. Slowly the boy mad a move closer to Yuki-sama. If he moved closer to her maybe he could live long enough to know why he was in trouble. "Welcome back...N...Neechan" The boy was studdering. Nee-chan was a scary person indeed and coming back from the chunin exams meant she had been promoted. She was fierce as a genin, now being his sempai made her furious. "How did the exams go?"

A very slow, very creepy smile grew on Maya's face as she leaned forward and whispered,
"Do you know where Kore lies?"
Maya's face almost morphed as her expression twisted to show her anger. She grabbed Karite's collar and lifted him from the ground, baring her teeth at the boy. "The exams went as I expected them to. They wanted me to fight without Baki, and I refused. We both forfeited our fights - and I come back to hear you test alone?" Maya dropped him unceremoniously and sneered at Karite. "You might be tough, nii-chan, but you're a fool to think you can overcome things alone. The Tategami don't leave their partners behind. Had you told me you just wanted a pet lion you could have come to the grounds and cared for the cubs - but not as a Tategami. The Tategami fight and prepare each other for whatever may come their way." Maya stepped very close to Karite, their noses touching, her eyes angry and still...another emotion lay there as her voice lowered, her tone more serious.
"Baki's been hurt a lot of times, but he's a tough lion...wounds heal. Karite...On a mission in Fire Country, we had an enemy who used her bones to attack us. Baki..." Maya faltered, taking a deep breath and letting it out slow.
"Baki died, Karite. Aya-chan's father made a miracle happen, but Baki was gone. And you have no idea how broken that made me feel. I was ready to jump off the building and take that woman with me. I didn't care if I died too. How can you train by yourself, knowing that Kore needs to be stronger too? He's going to be there when you fight...he'll always be there, Karite. Why aren't you with him?" Maya shook her head and turned, hesitating before kneeling before Yuki herself.
"Yuki-sama, I want to learn how to heal. Aya isn't here anymore to help me when one of the lions is wounded. I need your help," she said quietly, though her anger at Karite's actions was still palpable in the air. Baki growled softly, laying on the ground behind Maya, watching carefully. His golden eyes were wary of any physical move that Karite might make towards Maya, but he was focused intently on the girl he trusted implicitly.

Karite was scared out of his mind. The sadistic looking Maya was giving him reminded him a lot of the Meho's As he was lifted up by his neck, it was hard to breath. He wondered sometimes if it would be better to wear a shirt in moments like this. As he hovered off the ground he was informed of the exams and the news of his own. hitting the ground he scooted his body back afraid of what might happen next.
Maya began speaking from her personal experience. Her and Baki had been put through a lot together. Kore and Karite had never even left the island. If they were she was right in saying that Kore needed to get stronger, not be protected like some child.
As she began talking to Yuki-sama the boy had calmed down no longer afraid for his life. He had messed up again. He didn't want a pet lion, Kore was more than that he was his partner, although he didn't act like it sometimes. she was right, he didn't have to do things alone, and the way things had played out in the exams...he was more alone now then ever.

"In order to be a good ninjutsu user you'll have to have a good surplus of chakra. Rest and try again," Yuki said without looking up from her scroll. She looked up from her scroll as Karite asked a question about killing someone. "Apathy," she told him, but did not go on, because she spotted a familiar grubby girl coming around the corner. With a nod to her head, Yuki knew why Maya was here and she was very proud to see her. Rolling her scroll up, the woman was slightly interested to see just how Maya was going to take care of the topic Yuki had been concerned of earlier. As the girl spoke and then turned to her with a knee to the ground, the woman couldn't help but smile. "I'm very impressed and would be more than willing to teach you," MomaYuki answered the girl as she rose up from her seat. "Come back to me when you've finished your training, Karite. Come, Maya. I'll give you some books to study. You'll need to learn a few things before I can begin teaching you," the woman said as she rose from her bench. "Have you studied the seals of the Hare, dog and Ox?" Yuki asked Maya, quizzing her about the seals she was going to use in this technique while they walked towards the clinic.

Maya blinked. S...seals, huh..? She bit her lip nervously, trying to recall all the times she had actually gone to academy, except she was drawing a blank. "The...uh...the Hare is... it stands for.. um..." Maya faltered, standing and following Yuki, Baki right behind her, as she tried to dredge up the memory that would tell her what exactly the seal represented. It was...something with an E.. right? Maya smacked herself on the forehead, trying hard to remember. And then like lightning... "The seal for Hare represents Esei, Yuki-sama. That's what it stands for. I didn't remember, at first...I haven't used my seals a lot," Maya admitted sheepishly, rubbing her head and looking down at Baki. "Baki's kind'a the smart one outta us two," she added with a 'what-can-ya-do?' look.

The leader of the Tenmoki clan frowned as Maya stuttered and admitted to a bad memory. The elder woman knew that Maya wouldn't prove to be a promising student. She would only learn this basic technique and that would most likely be it. It nearly made her stomach turn when Maya added in that Baki was the smarter one. Maya was going to need a lot of work. Rubbing her temples with her hands, Yuki tried to keep her prejudices in check as she left the garden. "Memorizing formulas, body parts and knowing your seals is going to play a big role in your training for this one technique. What about the dog? Do you recall that seal?" Yuki asked, her tone turning a little more placid as they left the Tenmoki Household and headed towards the clinic.

Maya blushed profusely. She had come here to lecture Karite and get him back to the grounds to treat Kore, but perhaps it would be better if he kept training himself. He would need to overcome a few mental blocks before facing Kore again, so she turned to him and muttered, "Find me before you return to the grounds." There was no room for argument in her tone, and she continued to sift through her memory pockets to try and remember what the dog seal represented. She placed her left open hand over her right fight, and inhaled deeply. The dog ... "Yuki-sama, the dog represents charge, even though the dog isn't an animal to charge into battle like a lion would," she said, thinking out loud even though it hadn't been asked for.

Looking up at Maya as she told him to find her before he returned to the ground did not settle the nerves that had been put on edge with the not so friendly reunion of the Tategami clan. The boy sat on the ground and formed the hand seals he had been taught to. Cycling through them quickly he let loose a large amount of chakra letting it sink into the ground this time letting his chakra infuse the earth like Yuki-sama had told him to. The earth began to move and form into a shape that was similar to the last but more developed. While not a perfect copy the clone was at least the same height as Maya. Looking at the clone he just wished Maya was around from the beginning. Maybe then he could understand what it is she wanted out of him. What it truly meant to be Tategami. Standing the boy circled the clone absorbing the detail. "What do you want from me?"
