Kiba had sort of spaced out while thinking about charm possibilities. He finally snapped out of his daze when Shin began commenting on some of the charms he saw at the stand the two were now at. "Oh" started the dark eyed Raiken "Yeah, that cake one's pretty clever." Being of a different disposition than his Nara squad member, however, Kiba's attention was quickly drawn to the little charms in the shapes of shuriken. One of the more interesting charms that stood out, though, was one in the shape of a sharingan that bore some sort of little proverb concerning perception and wisdom and such. While Kiba did not think that this one was exactly the one for Kane, it did look pretty cool. Kiba did seriously consider a classic looking infinity symbol charm, however, that had the word "life" on it.

Amane fell and put her feet out, landing on them only sighing in frustration. She grinned at her friend as she spoke. They were similear to one another, both were independent people. However Amane wasn't good with conversation, and didn't know when to quite or when to persist. This was one of those times where she pressed on, as she tried to stand back up on her hands. You should rely on them! If a Shinobi can't rely on a team how can they rely on a village? She moved her hand and adjusted a bit. The best part about Shima was that they were a community. And aside from the other Uchiha she had met earlier, it had seemed everyone was able to care for one another. Well Booty Shorts-sempai She had finally found a nickname. You can rely on me whenever you need it! She laughed cheerfully as she tried to keep on her hands. She felt silly offering her reliance, being so much younger and likely weaker than this girl. However to her this was a sweet gesture.

[Its alright. ^^]
Shin decided to stop joking around and take a serious look at everything. Scratching his head, he looked to Kiba to see that his eyes had landed on a certain one. The symbol of the village and a word that was a good thing to strive for; life. "Hey! That one you're eying is perfect!" Shin said as he picked up the charm and held it out. "What better word to see at the end of your sword as you're fighting against your opponent," Shin told Kiba with a big smile on his face. "How much for this one-" Shin started and then as he dug into his pocket, he realized that there was no money in there... Shin hadn't gone on any missions or done any work around the village in order to make any money. "Ah..." the boy started, turning to Kiba. "Do you have any Ryo?" he asked with a nervous grin. Here they had found the sky blue dyed rope and the perfect charm for their sensei and... they had no money.

"Think so?" Kiba asked, happy that Shin liked the charm he had found. This smile slowly dissapeared, however, as the young Raiken dug vigorously into his pockets to find not a single ryo there after Shin's question. "Er... sorry, no... I've got a smoke bomb..." A smoke bomb would likely be of little use, but maybe the concept of bartering for the charm was not such a bad idea. Then again, what did he and Shin have that the merchant could possibly want? Shuriken? Not likely. Perhaps he could ask old Chuuko... but he would almost certainly have to do something troublesome in return for the old man. With their ninja skills they could almost certainly get away with stealing the charm, but that would be wrong and Shin definitely did not strike Kiba as someone who would sink to such a low moral level. The options seemed to be running out for the two genin squad members. There was always good old fashioned begging for charity if worst came to worst... Still, the dark eyed Raiken's dignity did very much like that idea. "So, uh, what're we gonna do?"

Senritsu began to fiddle with the red ribbon tied in a neat bow around her neck as she watched Amane fall. Looking down at the floor, she lowered herself to floor and continued to watch with some amusement as the younger girl got herself up on her hands once more. It was then that the girl began to speak. “Rely on the village? I think the village relies on us. Without Shinobi, the village would be in even more danger of being attacked by pirates and people who dislike our trading. Or, people who would like to take the village for themselves as an illegal trading spot since we’re in such a convenient place.” Senritsu yawned, her eyes closing as Amane continued on with her words, taking Senritsu by surprise. “Um, pardon? Booty Shorts? Wow. So you know, these shorts weren’t supposed to be this short on purpose. They were an accident with a knife this morning.” Whether that was supposed to be a permanent nick name or not, it was quite rude, even with the ’-sempai’ added. Looking down at her clothes, Senritsu sighed. Was that all people would think of her now? Nothing but a girl in tiny shorts? Did they not even consider the fact that it was going to be getting hot soon and shorts would be more convenient than the loose bottomed pants she had before?

[Kiba and Shin!]
"Work for me," the old woman standing behind the kiosk said. She hadn't said a word nor moved a muscle since the two boys had walked up. As far as they knew, she was only a stuffed display! "I will give you the charm and the rope, if you come back in the night and do a task for me," the woman said, the only muscle moving on her body was her cheeks as she raised and closed her jaw to speak. "Nara Shinobu and Raiken Miyazaki Kiba," the woman said slowly as she forced a toothless smile. There was an eerie aura around the woman as she sat in her chair with her eyes covered by her long bangs and erotic hat.

After finishing up with the kid Rokugi walked around a bit close by to the other academy students that where in the village at the moment. He wanted to see how everyone was in a normal day. While listening to their talking and such he heard some other boys talking with an old lady and so he decided to listen to their conversation. Their voice could be heard nicely from where he was standing so he didnt have a hard time. "Thats so sweet of them" The kids seemed to be looking at some charms to buy for someone but The boy had missed the mentioning of any name whatsoever so he guessed it might have been for a girl.

As he listened to the conversation a girl passed by. He kept a stare at her because of what she was doing. The girl would have probably passed unnoticed by Rokugi where she had been walking normally. Instead the girl was doing a hand stand. The girl was accompanied by another girl she was having a conversation with. The boy chuckled at the scene of her talking while hand standing and then kept on listening. Their conversation was about team mates and relying on others so he figured the elder looking one must be already a genin or at least looked so. They seemed to be of the same clan and that simply made him wonder about his own. Back to the conversation Rokugi felt he agreed more with the hand standing girl about needing teammates and being an important part of shinobi's life, yet he still needed to find some partners of his own.

"No problem!" Shin said with a smile and then as he turned around his face was frozen in that smile and he was a pale white. "Did you see hear there?" Shin asked Kiba, his lips barely moving. "Quick... Take the charm and the rope and lets head to the shoreline," Shin whispered to his companion to frightened to turn back around and face the ghostly woman. As he stood frozen waiting for Kiba to get the gift and get going, a young man came up to the two.
"Nara Shinobu, right? I got another letter from your mom! This one was labeled urgent though, so I thought I'd give it to ya in person," the messenger boy said as he handed the letter to the tall Nara with a smile. "Have a good 'day!" the boy said before running off to deliver the rest of the letters he had in his satchel to the village.
"Ah," Shin said with a nod as he accepted the letter from the boy. The dusty haired boy didn't hesitate to read it and opened it right away, but not with much haste. As his chocolate brown eyes scanned over the sloppy writing, Shin realized that it wasn't a letter from his mother like usual, but a letter from his father. As he read, the boy stopped breathing as his fingers held onto the paper tightly. "Hey, Kiba," Shin said as he slowly folded the piece of paper back up. His eyes remained focused on the paper that was no longer being held out in front of him. "I gotta run back to my apartment, why don't you head down and greet Kane without me?" the boy suggested to his Raiken friend, but before Kiba could give Shin an answer, the Nara turned away and started walking back to his apartment. "I'll catch ya later," Shin said back to Kiba before turning a sharp corner without looking back at the boy.

Kiba could not speak. The woman's presence.... There was something disturbing about it, almost as if by taking the charm the young Raiken and his companion were selling their souls to the devil. Regardless, Kiba did as Shin said and quickly took the charm and backed away. The dark eyed Raiken had barely taken his first steps towards the shoreline, however, when a stranger came up out of no where with a letter for Shin. Kiba waited on the Nara to read the letter and listened to him tell Kiba to go on to Kane. In and of themselves these words did not carry any particular connotation, but with the context of the letter from Shin's mom Kiba felt like there was a tone of saddness and even finallity to the farewell. Maybe it was just the Raiken's imagination. Whatever the case he hardly had a chance to inquire about it before Shin was out of sight. "Bye Shin...." called out Kiba awkwardly after his squad member. He doubted that Shin heard it, but Shin had said that he would see Kiba later, so it really was not a big deal, right? Still, a certain tone of saddness clung to the Raiken as he walked off to the shoreline to greet Kane.

The conversation in the little old lady's spot grew more interesting by the second to Rokugi. The words of the boys lazily arrived at his ears as the noise at the village rose because of more people walking around. He could only grasp a few parts and he depended right now on what movements he could see. " I should get a bit closer but they might think im intruding. Id better not" The boys looked into their pockets for what Rokugi figured was money for the charm. Nothing came out in their hands so they where both broke. Rokugi looked into his own pockets figuring he could help them but he soon found out they where empty as well, the last of his Ryo had been spent in food before his trip to Shima and since he had gotten here he had eaten fruits given to him or stuff at the food stand that served free food for Students like him.

The boys at last seemed to hear something nice for their faces changed completely as they grabbed the charm. The old lady spoke to the in a tone that Rokugi didnt like at all. She aked them to come on later to do some work for her to pay for the charm and the way she spoke of it was kind of scary. The boys looked real happy though so he guessed that was a plus. " People here are really nice and are willing to work it out somehow. Negotiating skills are important too i guess. I should make note of how to do so with different people" Negotiating seemed like a viable method to gain stuff you didnt have the resources or the methods to do so. He remembered quite well how he had to convince Hamma that he was worthy of being here to train.

The town grew loud with life, more and more shop stands began to open their doors to passing costumers and everyday trades began officially in todays morning. The two kids Rokugi where about to leave when a letter was handed to one of them by a messenger. The look on the boys face was that of surprise but not exactly in a good way. Soon after he had been done reading the letter he spoke to the other kid and they parted in different directions. Rokugi couldnt help to wander what had transpired yet it was an intermission of himself to actually ask, after all he was here to simply watch and learn from everyday moments in the village. " Lets see what else is going on today" Searching around he walked without a specific direction looking at the stores to see how things worked and keeping an ear out for the bell of the academy class to start.

Finding a good place to sit again Rokugi set himself where he could watch almost in every direction. Walking around women took their kids as they made morning shopping of things to eat and such. Men walked over to work talking about their anecdotes of last night events at the village bar. For what they where talking it seemed workers in the village went there to relax and refresh themselves from a hard days job. drinking contests where common too apparently because their conversation at the moment was about last night's winner. Rokugi wondered if they served Tea at the bar for people who didnt like strong alcoholic drinks. Also by this behavior he could tell a Bar was a good place to gather information because lots of people from around the place gathered at these to have a chat , talk or else..

Following with his eyes the men, he watched s they slowly went their separate ways as well to whatever work they did. Most villager by the looks of it where simple people and the Shinobi population was just a fraction of it. It seemed over the years of Shima's foundation more and more shinobis had come here to join in, even so the number was but half of the number of villagers which had little to no fighting skills. More and more of the kids who grew in the village now aspired to become a shinobi wich meant they where bount to grow in numbers. He himself was training to become a shinobi but thinking about it made him wonder a lot about his own existence. If he survived life as s Shinobi long enough to grow old, what would he do then? Had his father done that, retired somewhere quite?
