Takeshi arrived at the front doors of the Konoha Library a short time after he left the Open Meadows. In front of him stood two massive double doors, matching the size of the enormous library. Though he had arrived at his destination, Takeshi still didn't know what he was going to do now that he was here. But surely, in this gigantic structure, he could find something to do. Maybe he could study another jutsu, or get one of the optional Academy lessons done with. His mind filled with the possible options that he could take as Takeshi pushed the two double doors and entered the library.
In front of Takeshi stood a large reception stand, though it was only manned by one person. Obviously, this wasn't one of the most popular places to go, but then again, this was the largest information hub in all of Konoha, other than the Hokage's Tower. As Takeshi walked around the reception booth, he could see the receptionist leaning back in her chair, and newspaper left over her face. It seemed that she was either asleep, or drunk. Asleep was the more likely answer, though her private life was to her and her alone. Takeshi did not disturb her as he walked around the booth, and came into the main room of the library.
Takeshi now saw how the enormous structure could possibly need this much room. Takeshi saw rows upon rows upon rows of books of all sizes and shapes. Entire sections were dedicated to a topic, ranging from toddler care for parents to the complexities of the human brain and its functions. From astronomy to biology, the library seemed to contain books on every subject you could think of. As Takeshi walked past the rows of books, he stumbled across the biology section, and remembered an assignment from the syllabus scroll that he could do. Takeshi pulled out his Academy Syllabus scroll and looked up the First Aid assignment.
In this lesson, Students would be reading up on either life sciences (memorizing poisons and corresponding antidotes) or treating minor injuries.
Takeshi thought that this would be a simple enough task, after all his intelligence was pretty high for his age. Trying to retain some simple biology and anatomy shouldn't have been too hard. Takeshi began by combing the isles for the books he would need, preferably simple ones. The assignment didn't call for a complex understanding of the human body, so why should he waste his time with overdoing it. Takeshi ended up with a smaller book than others that were near it in the isle. On the cover was printed The Human Body and You. Takeshi took the book, and found his way over to a nearby reading table. It was a small table, with four chairs total, two chairs on one side, and another two chairs on a parallel side. Takeshi sat down in one of the chairs, opened the book, and began to read. but before he could start, Takeshi felt a tickle in his nose, and then he sneezed, causing the book pages to flap back and forth, and he lost his place.

Takeshi opened the book once more, only to have the sleeping librarian actually wake up and tell him to shush. It annoyed Takeshi that this lazy library had power over him, because she had now room to talk. Takeshi had half a mind to get up form his chair and shout ant her to stop sleeping and do her job, but Takeshi's common sense restrained him from doing anything outlandish. Takeshi instead quietly whispered, "I'm sorry," to the librarian, who did not respond, but instead went back to sleep with the newspaper over her face. Takeshi grew more frustrated at her, when a strange hand patted him on the shoulder. Takeshi whipped around in surprise to find that a strange Chunnin was standing next to him.
This newcomer was very tall with brown eyes and fair skin. Takeshi could tell that this person was a Chunnin by the telltale green jacket and his Konoha headband, which he had used as a bandana to cover his head. Takeshi couldn't be sure because the headband covered most of his head, but he believed that this man had black hair, from the black tufts of hair sticking out rebelliously from underneath his headband. "Calm down, young one," he said in a steady, somewhat serious tone. "You need patience and self control to steady your emotions. You'd best stay at your place".
It angered Takeshi to hear elders talking to him like that, when they really had no room to talk at all. The librarian probably just wanted him to be quite because she wanted to sleep, and she had yelled at him over sneezing. And fro one, such as the Chunnin, to attempt to back up a pointless cause is really pathetic. But the librarian had power over the library, and the Chunnin had the power, in this case, over kick-***, so Takeshi instead turned back to his book and let the Chunnin pass on, to who knows where.
Takeshi reexamined his book for a moment and turned the pages back to where he was reading.
Welcome to the world of the human body and its functions!

It turned out that the page Takeshi had originally opened to the Table of Contents page. Upon realizing this, Takeshi felt so stupid, shaking his head in disappointment. Takeshi quickly flipped through the pages to find what he was looking for.

Takeshi turned through the pages to find the first section of the book. It was really just a bunch of diagrams and pictures more than a text filled book. With each turn of the pages, Takeshi felt the rough surface of the parchment, which wasn't often used in modern books, which made him think about how old the book might be. A quick look at the leather cover binding on the book showed its cracked and worn appearance, telling him that this book wasn't just old; It was way old. Though there didn't appear to be any date of publishing on the cover page, the pieces of the puzzle did seem to piece together. After all, most books of this era were well written and lengthy, where this one was relatively short.
Only a few pages away from where he was, Takeshi found the first page, entitled The Human Body. From here in, Takeshi began his studies. The human body is truly a wondrous thing, so complex and yet the layout is the same for almost every living thing on the planet.
The smallest particle of the human body, without going into the atomic structure, would be the cell. Cells are considered the building blocks of life, and this has come to be true, as no living thing as been found without cells. There are several parts to the common cell, which make the cell work. The outermost part of a cell (aside from the cell wall for plant cells) is the cell membrane, which usually consists of a lipid bilayer. This bilayer keeps out larger particles, most likely unwanted particles, from entering the cell, while it is still semi-permeable to smaller particle like water. There are larger channels in the lipid bilayer that larger particles can pass through, which are called protein channels.
After the cell membrane, you will most likely encounter the cytoplasm, which is a gel-like substance that contains water and nutrients for the cell. Within the cytoplasm, however, is actually makes up the cell. The most important part of the common cell is the nucleus, which contains the DNA for that cell. The DNA of a cell is what determines what kind of cell it will be, what the cell will do, and any other aspect of that cell. Just outside the nucleus is the nuclear membrane, which separates the nucleus from the cytoplasm.
Besides the nucleus, there are other part of a cell that are important too, such as the endoplasmic reticulum, which moves things around in the cell. Other important parts of the cell are vacuoles, which are storage areas for the cell, ribosomes, which make protein for the cell, and golgi bodies, which are used for packaging and secreting of energy. Lysosomes are chemicals used to digest waste, and mitochondria break down food and release energy to the cell, which is in turn probably stored in golgi bodies.
There are two kinds of cells. There are animal cells (or human cells) which are found in humans, animals, and insects, and there are plant cells, which are found in plants. Plant cells are almost identical, though plant cells have two more elements than animal cells. One of these parts is the cell wall, which is on top of the cell membrane, are makes a stronger barrier and gives structure to the cell. The other part of the plant cell that the animal cell does not possess is the chloroplasts, which contain chlorophyll that makes food for the plant cell.
While Takeshi eventually made it though the whole lesson, he found that he had only memorized a little bit of it. The amount of information he had memorized was not enough for him to consider it acceptable, so Takeshi decided that his solution to this problem would be to re-read the entire lesson.
Katon (Fire Style): Goukakyo no Jutsu (Fireball Jutsu) Training Part 3 (Combustion) The chakra the user blows will now be combusted. When combusted, the chakra must be kept under high pressure. The user must stop the blowing the chakra if the fire is traveling backwards towards the users mouth/cheeks. (This post takes place in an alternate time line.) Hyuuga TairuHp: 60/60 l Cp: 45/45 l MHp: 55/55 l DB: 16 Theme: Main Theme [enter] Tairu slowly walked into the library. He was becoming quite familiar with the library and its staff. The librarian sitting at the reception desk looked up to see who had entered the library after giving Tairu a very short glare, as if to say "Don't break anything, you know the drill", and then went back to doing what ever she was doing. That was always something Tairu wondered about, What is she doing behind that counter. Tairu walked over to the reception desk, though not to discover what was going on behind the counter. "Pardon me, where can I find scrolls pertaining to chakra climbing and walking?" Tairu whispered to the librarian. The librarian simply pointed like she usually did and left it up to Tairu to actually find the scrolls. Tairu was becoming better at finding things though. Frequent trips to the Konoha library had given Tairu experience with how their organization of books scrolls worked. Naturally this experience made it easier to find what one was looking for. After walking to the general area of where the librarian had pointed Tairu began his search the scrolls on chakra walking. Here we go! Tairu thought as he found some scrolls that contained training methods for chakra walking. Tairu sat down at a table and first laid out the library on the opposite side of the table, and then rolled out his Academy Syllabus. Tairu unrolled the syllabus until he reached reached blank paper and then. Using a library pen Tairu began to copy the scroll for his future reference. Hyuuga TairuHp: 60/60 l Cp: 45/45 l MHp: 55/55 l DB: 16 Theme: Main Theme Putting pen to paper Tairu began to copy the training method for chakra walking down onto his scroll. As usual the beginning section was the introduction. This segment prefaced the training so it was just as important as the training methods themselves. "Chakra control is perhaps one of the most important skills of a shinobi. Every shinobi can control chakra, but a shinobi with mastery over chakra control can last longer in a jutsu battle, and can utilize jutsu more effectively. These training methods will help you learn how to properly control your chakra and allow for the endurance training of your chakra system. In the trainings ahead you will not need a lot of chakra in order to stick to a surface, but it needs to be exact, and it is said that the bottom of the foot is the most difficult area to gather chakra. If you can learn this chakra control you can theoretically master any jutsu" Tairu stopped writing for moment to give his hand a break. So far he was doing good, and Tairu was becoming very excited about the future as he read the scroll. [DC] Auto Fail Copying Scrolls: DC: 10 + 5 = 15. Formula: 1d20 + 5. Now where could my pen have gone in the last three seconds? Tairu scanned the table in search of his lost pen. Nothing, the table bare except for the two scrolls laying on top of it. Tairu then gently lifted up the scrolls in order to looked underneath them; as the pen might have rolled underneath the paper. Still there was nothing. Now Tairu got up from chair, bent over and looked underneath the table. Silly me, the pen just rolled off the table. I must must have knocked it off when I flexing my hand. At least he was until he noticed that he had rewritten everything that he had already copied. The pen dropped from his hand and clattered onto the table. Oh how could I be so foolish? Tairu wondered. He was quite upset because now he had wasted valuable time rewriting the introduction. Continuing from he left Tairu began to write once more. "The point of this training is not only to teach you proper control but to build up your stamina. Chakra control becomes harder with more difficult jutsu. Also while concentrating your chakra during battle you are also constantly moving which only makes chakra control even more difficult.
Training Session I - Tree Climbing
In this training session you will pick a tree, preferably a tall one. The concentrate chakra to your feet. You will have to find the right amount of chakra in order to successfully walk up the tree. Too little chakra and your feet will not stick. Too much chakra and the bark will splinter and break; causing you to fall from the tree. Each time you climb up the tree try and mark your distance by scratching the bark with a kunai. This will help to set goals for your self during the training. This training session will be complete once you can easily walk up the tree using only your feet."Tairu stopped to look over his work. He smiled as observed the copied document. Using this he would later go and learn to concentrate chakra to his feet and learn to walk up a tree as well as other surfaces. [DC] 20 = auto success Copying Scrolls: DC: 10 + 5 = 15. Okay, here we go, training session two. Tairu thought happily as he looked over what he was going to be writing. "In the tree climbing training session you only had to continuously create a constant level of the necessary chakra that was required to stick to the tree's surface, and then concentrate that chakra to the right location. The tree surface was solid and all you had to do in order to walk up it was to stick to the tree. That lesson was designed to teach you how to build up a set amount of chakra. The next training session will involve walking on water. That lesson will be designed to teach you how effectively utilize your chakra. Tairu kept on writing diligently; he was almost finished with his task. Soon he would go on to carry out these training sessions and learn how to not only walk on various surfaces but to also have better chakra control. If only I had been able to do this during the Genin Exams Tairu thought as he considered the various things that he could climb on while he rocked his chair back and forth on its hind legs. Tairu was then brought back to the task at hand when he had to grab the table in attempt to stop himself from falling backwards. [DC Check] 16 + 5 = 21 Pass Copying Scrolls: DC: 10 + 5 = 15. With each passing stroke of the pen Tairu was inching closer to completing his task of copying the training scroll. "In order to float on the surface of water you must always expel the appropriate amount of chakra into the water from your feet. The chakra your produce must also match the exact amount of chakra necessary to make you float. This level of chakra is much more difficult than simply expelling a continuous amount the same chakra. This exorcise will help immensely with chakra control where the last one helped with stamina. This training will also teach to utilize the correct amount of chakra for jutsu that require you to build up and release a specific amount.
Training Session II
In this training session you should find a small body of water that will not present too much of a hazard should you fail. One of the ideal choices is a hot spring. To start, concentrate chakra to your feet. You must match this chakra to the weight of your body before stepping onto the surface of the water. Then once on top of the water you must continuously expel this chakra. in order to stay afloat you will have to adjust your chakra to changes in the surface of the water. Once you can walk on the water count out in your head how long you can stay afloat. As you improve your skills make sure to seek rougher bodies of water. Takeshi set the book down for a moment, trying to reconstruct the knowledge that had fallen apart in his mind. The words as terms for different parts of the body flew through his mind, but failed to gather as a collective thought. Try as he might, reading it once wasn't going to cut it. Takeshi picked up the book and tried to read it again. This time he started slower, hoping that given time, the words on the page would stick to something in his mind and etch into his brain.

Once he had read the whole section again, Takeshi tired to quiz himself on what he had learned. "Okay, let's see. The cell is the smallest part of the human body, and all other things on the planet. That I know. Then cells group together to form..." Takeshi thought. "Ugh... I can't remember. Let's just skip it. Um... plant and animal cells... uh.... ugh. I can't remember anything." An it was true. The words seemed to go through his eyes and pass right out the back of his skull. Nothing stuck to memory. It was frustrating. Takeshi had the brain capacity to retain the knowledge, if only he tried hard enough. He shook his head in disappointment and set the book down once more. Takeshi decided that instead of getting mad, the best course of action would just be to take a few quick breaths and collect his thoughts. Wait, that's what he's getting mad over...

Mizuki walked into the library, wondering what she would be looking for in the massive library to study. Her eyes scanned the rows of scrolls, hoping for something to catch her eye. She paused for a moment, noticing they had some scrolls on crafting weapons and other sorts of crafts. "Crafting..." She remembered her father refered to the art of making a puppet a valuable craft. A smile played on her face as she searched the rows, finding exactly what she needed. Puppet Craft; Insight into the Art. She moved over to the nearest table and unrolled the scroll slowly, taking her time in reading the instructions carefully. However the scroll looked like it was meant for those who had a bit of the basics down.

It was a bit saddening that the scroll seemed a bit too complex for her, but she knew she would just have to slow herself down a bit to understand fully. She pushed her hair out of her face and bit down on her thumb, trying to dissect the huge blocks of words into smaller, and hopefully easier to understand chucks of information. It would have helped if the pictures were clearly labeled to what part of the scroll it was talking about. She sighed as she started at the beginning.
She smiled as she was able to get something out of the texts. It related with the different types of puppets that could be used and their basic construction. One type in particular stood out in her mind, the Attacker type. It seemed to be the easiest to do out of all the type, so she needed to learn more about it.
