Sujin stepped through the crowd, his cloth twirling in the wind behind him. His gaze and his mind were off toward the sky,
"Sky so young and free,
I wish I could soar up high.
To be with spirits."

A haiku escaped his lips in whispers, as he meandered through the people busily working. Something about this place that he loved. Sujin stepped quickly forward his clothes billowing back as they became undone at his shoulders. He was gone in a flash, leaping high through the air. His cloth back like a cape tied at his waist. Far below him now the ground became closer.
"But all men must fall.
For we have not wings to fly.
And must only dream."

he hit the ground softly, now in the village center where there were even more people. He walked on, there was something he needed to get.

Xen looked about every corner of the area. His pursuing of the file hadn't told him much. But it did tell him what he needed to know. This "Death note" would a notebook about 10 inches across and 14 vertical, with a black bound cover that had it's name "Death Note" printed in odd Gothic letters across the front.

The client, he was interested to realize, he'd heard of before. Rima Misato was a brilliant intelligence gatherer to the Kage, the fact she required this...Death Note, was odd in itself, the fact she thought it needed to be destroyed even MORE intriguing. One of the warnings in the mission briefing folder was to "Not look inside the contents of the note under any circumstance."

While this of course made him even more curious, his nature was always second to his own well being, and his survival instinct, both of which were always closely intertwined. And both which were telling him better than to question such a capable Shinobi, especially a fellow Shinobi brain. He made a point to follow his Missions to the letter, his first no exception. A mission was after all much like a deal, one made the client, and Xenon Maboroshi always kept his deals...it was just good business.

His eyes cast about one final time. He was certain it wasn't here, he'd move on to the rest of the village. He cast his mind about. He'd head to the training grounds next. He'd also start asking around, and fellow Ninja were often likely to notice more than your average villager.

((Leaving for Training grounds...))

Xen followed the young man from the grave yard, and even into the many twisting streets of the village itself. The night was quiet, and would have been peacful, had Xen himself not been a hunter stalking his prey. He tried to fall back as much as possible to avoid detection, but he knew he couldn't let the note out of his sight. He wished there'd been more people about, but the hour was late a few roamed the streets.

His expression was an enigma, emotionless and unaffected, his lenses shimmering in the white light of the moon... he imagined he was an intimidating figure indeed...still, unfortunately that didn't help his covering of his presence...

Suddenly, seemingly without warning, the young man stopped up ahead, and Xen himself stopped, pretending to be admiring some items in a store window... but his ruse was for naught. In a moment the young man made a dash, taking off down the street, Xenon quickly on his heels. His cover was blown, but he wasn't going to lose his mark...

The young man came to halt, his chest heaving from lack of breath. He spun about his eyes wide. They'd come to an alley, one that the Mysterious youth had found came to an dead end. Now there was only one way out... yet before he could even think to take it, slow measured footsteps echoed into the alley way, and Xenon entered, his lenses shining in the moon.

"Evening." He said without hint of emotion. The young fell back slightly, pinning himself against the end of the alley. Xenon's stance seemed lax, unthreatening, but there was something about the way he stood there, so certain, so unafraid. He was neutral at present but...

"Who are you...why are you following me?!" The young man's voice seemed to be more worried then he'd have liked.

Xenon retained his calm countenance. "It's quite simple..." He pulled a hand from his pocket, the other staying rooted, and pointed with a single finger. "The Note book you have in your possession...surrender it."

The young man's eyes fell down to the "Death Note" in his hands. The boy's gaze then returned to Xenon. "N-no...I need this..."

Xenon seemed very unsympathetic to the older boy's plight. "That's unfortuates for you..." his golden eyes suddenly peered through the glare of his lenses, their cold sight unsettling the youth. "You see, I've been Charged by an certain client to acquire it...and I don't intend to leave this alley with it..."

"You don't understand...I need this...I'm going to change the world."

A remorseless smirk past over Xenon's face. "A noble cause I'm sure...but regardless...I'm taking that Note...whether your still alive by the end of it is up to you." A sarcastic air had entered his tone...still he seemed unswayed...

The young man looked at the book like he was pondering something, then back into the eyes of his opponent...fear filling them as he realized some truth. "Can...can you not understand that-"

"The one who seems at misunderstanding is you..." Xenon said with his cold air returning. "The only way this ends with you walking out of here alive is if you set that notebook down where you stand..."

The young man seemed to be battling over something in his mind...finally he seemed to reach a firm consensus "No...I won't give it up...I won't surrender it!"

A wind swept through the alley way as for a moment silence hung... then...a disturbing smile split across Xenon's face, filling the young man with Terror. "So be it..."

Fear inflicted on Mysterious Young man...

Xen sped forward his eyes still hidden behind his glaring lenses, the moonlight seeming to fill his eyes with unearthly glow. He didn't truly intend to kill this fool, there would be nothing to be gained, in fact the reverse may indeed have held true, handing him over to the village authority might earn him some brownie points, and he did so love brownies, still, it was better if his mark believed him to be a remorseless killer (it wasn't entirely false) to rob him of hope, to rob him of sense. Xenon raised his fist back his Golden eyes sharpening as he struck...

Xenon easily dodged the youth's clumsy counter attack. His body seeming to sway around it, like he'd predicted it before the move was even conceived. Xenon back away a few steps, but his stance seemed...too lax. His arms were hanging limply now, as though he was some sort of loose limbed doll. His head cocked to the side. "Really now...fighting back like this will get you nowhere... if you don't want to die, then just surrender the book..." then his head straightened again. "No...I changed my mind..." his eyes seemed manic "it's to late for that now..." he suddenly began to walk back wards... sinking into the dark shadows where of the narrow way where the moons light didn't stretch...

The Young's eyes widened in alarm. Xenon had seemed to vanish into the shadow, one minute he was there and the next... he blinked his eyes astounded.

Xenon sat now on the wall behind the older boy, hidden by shadow, supported by chakra, He seemed to be assessing his moment to strike, his quarry seemed now even more panicked, even more crippled with fear. His breath was becoming faster his eyes darting about in alarm. He considered for breif moment making a break for it but he was too afraid, it might be a trap...just a taunt...and mind game being played on him by this...monster...

Yes, Xenon could almost see it. The boy was wondering who in the world he was, and if indeed he could get out of this alive... Xenon's face, no longer needing to put on an act, had gone calculating, still seeking an opening...Fighting wasn't his forte, he'd openly admit it, but he still had one trick up his sleeve... he saw his opening...

Xenon Wins

"ONE THOUSAND YEARS OF DEATH!!!" The rather perverse attack was executed perfectly, sending Xenon's quarry barreling not only into the air with a look of utter shock on his face, but also into the opposing wall, delivering trauma to his head. The boy fell to the ground the Note book falling from his hands.

It slid across the cement of the alley, coming to a rest in the moon light. Even as his conciousness faded from him, the young man reached for it. "Change...the world..." he muttered weakly.

Xenon set foot into his field of vision, a mellow look on his face "Sorry...it's nothing personal...just business." The boy's eyes closed, he was knocked out. Xenon's eyes turned down to the notebook his air suspicious. He pushed up his glasses. He'd call the village authorities, they could deal with the boy...

Sennen Goroshi (One Thousand Years of Death)
A very simple Taijutsu technique with a very over-dramatized name. A technique in the one plunges the user's fingers into the vicinity of the victim's rectal regions. However, the true meaning of the jutsu was mainly to use a pointed object (usually a kunai), in order to attack the blind-spot of the enemy. When combined with explosive seals, it can even damage Gaara in his semi transformed mode.
Damage: 7-18 + str mod. Or 7-18 + weapon damage if a weapon or tool is used

The Chuunin nodded as Xenon finished giving his report. The others were already taking the unnamed young man into custody, the one in charge taking Xenon's statement.

"I see...you've done good work, following the book to the letter, that's rare for an academy student, hell even fresh Genin..." he turned looking at the incapacitated teen. "Still, I can't believe he didn't submit after the second warning, even full blown non-Shinobi criminals will give up when you pull the village's authority on them..." he looked back to Xenon out of the conrer of his eye "Any idea why he got so uppity?"

Xenon pulled a plastic encased note book from his coat. "I believe this had something to do with it, I don't think this is a normal Note book...My mission was to retrieve it if it was really inside the village...I believe it held some sort of sway over him."

The Chuunin nodded "I see, we'll take that into consideration. You've done good work, if you like we'll deliver your package to your client, you've done more than I'm sure was expected of you."

Xenon put the note book back. "If it's all the same sir, I'd prefer to handle that myself...I believe touching it directly maybe what allows it influence, and I don't want to suffer the consequences should you feel like taking a gander at it...no offense sir."

The chuunin raised an eyebrow with a smirk "Heh, I see, well at least you get the job done eh? Keep up the good work Kid."

"I will sir." As the detail of Chuunin left he too about faced and headed off. Acording to the Folder his client could be contacted at the library, and that's where he was destined...

Sujin stepped into the busy market place, hustling with his mind deeply set on what had just happened with his father. "I hate him. I don't understand why he hates me." Sujin squabbled to himself not watched were he went. The trouble boy was so oblivious he found himself walking straight into a man. He bumbed back surprised, looking up. "I'm so sor-" He stopped and smiled. "Sorry, "Otokage"." he laughed a bit happier to see a friend. "Hey Kasuke-Sempai." Sujin sighed.

The older man smiled at his young friend, but he seemed to be troubled. "Sujin, what's wrong?" He stopped to talk, bending his neck down to try and look into his eyes. The kage let his hat down slip off his shoulder with his hand and it fell beside him.

The boy hesitated. He didn't like telling other people about his problems. "Oh, nothing. My usual woe I suppose." He sat down on a near by bench, and looked up at the blond man, who smiled and sat beside him.

"Nothing, a beautiful girl wouldn't fix. Am I right?" He smiled mischievously, Sujin didn't really care for whatever he had in mind. Kasuke usually spoke of women very highly. "I looked over the mission list, and there was is a model who needs protecting as she passes through. Nothing big, just a C rank mission."

Sujin sighed, it was sort of an order. And a mission would help him take his mind of of father. He agreed solemnly, and the Kage smiled. "Just Meet her at the gates and take her up through the forest, to the main path in the west." With that, he smiled and put on his hat for the first time. Deciding to head back to his office. Sujin stood as well, his robe falling down off his chest and exposing his tattoos. The Kage stopped. 'Oh, and Sujin, she may be beautiful and seductive but remember you're still young. I don't want to be taking care of any of your illegitimate children just yet." he smiled innocently and turned away. Sujin's eyes bugged. Kasuke certainly had a cruel sense of humor. He left toward the gates shaking his head.

Sujin walked slowly next to the carriage, Krog and the vehicle drew looks from all around, people bustled and gosspied about who this could possibly be. Yukia, watched Sujin intrigued. Not carrying much for the villagers. "Oh, powerful shinobi, spin me a poem." The boy looked up to her and examined her expression for a second. He sighed.

"I've no peoms suited for princesses." he said turned back to where he was walking. People who saw Yukia were starting to spread the word, and he had to keep on his toes now.

"Oh please Sujin, I'm sure they will be worthy." She leaned towards him, and stuck her hand out of the cart touching his face. Sujin pulled away gently, looking over to her blankly.

"The sound of my heart beats for my one love.
She calls to me, and I answer her.
She touches me, and I fight for her.
She is my only home, my only dream.
Long have I suffered to satisfy her needs.
Long have I basked in her love for me.
We love each other, like air and tongues.
Only with each other can we survive.
For I am lost without her sweat embrace,
and all that comes from breathing for her.
I was born to die for her.
I was trained to fight for her.
I was sworn to her with engraved metal,
that holds me dear and shall never stray from my person.
The sound of our hearts is one."
He never turned to Yukia as he spoke, but his lips were gentle and full of emotion. The model sighed with delight.

"Oh fair warrior, a love poem. For which women is to hold it as her own?" she seemed generally impressed, and less snobbish with this. Sujin turned to looked at her, his eyes deep. A smile broke out across his face though.

"For no women, of flesh or blood." This confused Yukia a bit and she squinted waving her head.

"I don't understand."

The boy smiled once again. And looked up. "Here we walk in her bosom. These streets her bones, and these people her blood." Yukia smiled.

"She is Otogakure. The poem is about your village. I could have sworn you were talking about a woman. What about the part where you were bound to her by metal. Weren't you talking about a wedding ring?" Yukis was genuinely interested now, and sat straight upright looking down at him from the carriage. The tall boy looked to her, and than down to his waist, she followed his gaze while he moved away layers of fabric and pulled a belt from near his waist, a metal headband attached to it. The model smiled, "You know, the rice country truly depends upon oto. The sound keeps us safe from all the troubles in the world. Especially that damned konoha." Sujin laughed in agreement. "I hear you got a new kage too." Sujin looked up at her.

"Yes, I've known him for a long time. His name is Okazi Kasuke. He is the most amazing shinobi I have ever met." Sujin said this meaningfully, he usually joked and teased Kasuke. It was an odd thought him being Kage. Always in and out of the village like he was. But, he truly was a leader. And a good friend, always doing things like giving him missions with pretty girls. They talked on and on, while Krog growled to himself, and the village livened with her princess coming through. Some even started to follow her, a few giving evil looks and hatching bad thoughts.
