Scarlet, you stand in a small room of an inn, gazing down at the fallen figures on the floor. You had hoped to convert them to your cause, but the two fools had only wished to try & take you for your blood, knowing it's value in dark magic. Now, only their corpses remain, a lesson that they'll never forget.

Lilin allowed him to explore her as she pressed her body against his wrapping her arms around his body attempting to push him against the against a wall as she continued to steal the life of the mage.

"Imbecilic Humanoids...." Scarlet glared down at the two men wanting very much so to kick them both but resisted. She then heads for the window (would the window be open?) sparing no second glance for the now two dead men in the room before flapping her wings open and fluttering up into the air and out the open window. "No point in sticking around here..." She looks around at the people below here. Maybe she could find someone else... (do you want me to roll for spotting something on the ground below her?)

Lilin, you notice as you're engaged in kissing the man, that his eyes seem like they're...LAUGHING. & he doesn't seem to be as weak as he should be either, rather, he seems to be enjoying some sort of private joke at your expense. You also realize that this mortals lips, they taste somehow...different. You can't quite explain it, but you don't feel right at all with the situation.
The window is open NOW...
& don't bother with the roll...
Scarlet, as you scan down at the ones below entering the inn, you hear that of animals screaming beyond absolute sense, as if their very souls were being torn from them. & it sounds somehow...distorted...it comes from directly behind you, & is soon followed by the noise of shattering glass.

Lilin whispers the command word of her bands of bilarro and attempts to use it on the mage. (not sure how it would work...ranged touch attack like it says or not because I'm close to him)

Scarlet blinked her large eyes as she spun around to face where the sound was coming from, bringing her arms up just in case she needed to protect herself. Her wings flapping a mile a minute to keep herself level with the window.

standing aside with my cohort I question what I've wandered into and question whether or not my cohort and I should stay I look at her lovingly and smile and she returns the look and smile but I can tell from her eyes she to is unsure of what we've wandered into.

Lilin, you still can't detect a thought from this mortal. & you easily put the bands on him(don't even bother rolling, unless it was a natural one, it's a success...). He pulls away from your face, smiling at you, suddenly appearing fitter than ever.
Scarlet, floating before you is a pair of bone white gloves. They just...float there. Menacingly...or...friendly...or...well, they're gloves, so who can tell about these things?

(detect thoughts has round by round effects, first round tell me if it has thoughts or not, second round tells me the int. score of the creature and 3rd round is the surface thought attempt which grants saves)
Lilin's eyes flash with surprise and anger, she places one of her claws on his shoulder and begins to press it into him, "What have you done? Why aren't you affected?"

Scarlet stared at the gloves with a raised brow. She had no idea what to make of the gloves but knew that she had to do something. She calmly reached out one of her hands to the gloves, planning to just gently touch them. "Hello there little gloves, that are floating above the ground rather high, and have just smashed through a window."

I know Lilin, I'm just saying that into the second round you still don't detect any, so basically, he has no thoughts...
He calmly looks at your claw & the rivulets of blood that it caused to flow from his shoulder then back to you & smiles.
"Well, I'd show you, but..."
He gently shakes his arms to indicate the bands.
(IRL: HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)
Scarlet, the gloves just float there, calmly, without showing any signs of resistance to your touch.
