Everything was black to Kratos, then Anna was there. Kratos eye's widened. How are you...? No. This is an illusion! You're dead! I... I... I killed you... Her mouth moved, but her voice came from around him. Kratos didn't hear her words, but he knew what she was saying. No! You're not alive! Phantom! You're just a fragment of my memory! her mouth moved again. No! If I accept this, I will be delusional! I will be like Virginia... thinking those lost to me are right there with me... I do not wish to be like Virginia. Now begone! he stood up and drew his sword. It was not Flamberge, nor the Shortsword, nor the sword he used to defend Yuan with at the Fooji Mountains. It was the sword he had out in Mithos's memory that Lloyd witnessed when Martel was killed. He charged at Anna but the moment before his sword made contact, she turned into an Exblua. He struck her down as blood covered his sword, clothes, and the blackness around him. As she fell, she transformed back to human. Suddenly, Kvar was standing right in front of him. No, I killed you too! This time, he actually heard Kvar's voice, but the sentance wasn't directed to him. "Your mother was a monster, it was your father that struck the final blow. But who cares! They were just a couple of filthy humans, anyways!" Kratos spoke this time, "Do not speak ill of the dead!" he heard Lloyd's voice, "You, don't you dare insult my mom and dad!" Then, Kratos was in the contol room. Kvar had just struck Colette. Lloyd ran upm to Kvar and thrust his sword through Kvar, "You b*****d!" he shouted. Kratos ran up next to Lloyd. "Feel the pain," he struck Kvar, "of those inferior beings," he hit him again. Kvar fell, dead. "As you burn in Hell." Blackness again, then he was at Flanoir with Lloyd. "And I..." he said, "That's enough!" Lloyd shouted. "I killed her." Blackness. The words echoed through Kratos's mind. I killed her... I killed her... killed her... Kvar's figure was in front of him. His mouth moved but no words. They were heard, but not from his mouth. You murderer Kratos. You murdered your wife and murdered me. Kvar disappeared. Mithos appeared. "You who betray your friends and shamelessly come back." He turned into Yggdrasill, "Dammit! Kratos! How many time's must you betray me!?" The flashbacks and visions continued through Kratos's mind, reminding him of every sin he ever did.

Ayame had left the house and went into the woods to think things over, while walking she heard nothing.....no animals or insects...just silence
"somethings not right...." she said as the wind started to blow fiercely

Kratos was still in his sinful thoughts. Everything that had delt emotional damage that was his fault "Kratos! You betrayed us?" Kratos was standing at the oracle stone in the Tower of Salvation in front of Lloyd and the others. Hate in Lloyd's voice. He was in the Tower of Mana Lloyd and the others were crossing the final bridge. "Kratos, get out of our way!" hate in Lloyd's voice again. He was lrsving Sybak and encountered Lloyd and his group. "Kratos!" the tone of his words, filled with hate. He was in front of Altessa's house, Yuan and four Renegades were there. "How does it feel Kratos, to have your own son reject you like that?" Then, the blackness weakened. He was in front of Luin with Lloyd, "I alway's wished I had a brother to train swords with." He was in front of Hima, with Lloyd again, "Thank you." Lloyd said. In front of Dirk's house, "Are you really going back to Cruxis?" Lloyd had sadness in his voice. In the Torrent Forest, "And I forgive Kratos, the man who betrayed us." They were in front of the destroyed Tower of Salvation. "Good-bye, Dad!" Kratos' eye's opened, seeing Ayame some 100 feet away. His clothes were torn and his ribs cracked, blood all over him. He made a loud enough grunt that Ayame suddenly jumped up in surprise.

"ahh!" Ayame yelled out startled
she searched the area and found Kratos on the ground
"oh man your really wounded" she said as she examined the wounds

"I'm going to follow Ayame," Said Aleda to no one inparticular.
Moments later, she found Ayame and Kratos.
"These...are the wounds... my sister had," She said, getting closer to Kratos.

"blessing" Kratos had stopped bleeding but he was still badly wounded
"im sorry it didn't completely heal yo-" while Ayame was speaking she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder "urgh not now.." she muttered under her breath

The creature that had struck Kratos down, had reappeared and laid a claw on Ayame's shoulder. Without taking more then an equivalent of 1/2 a tablespoon of air, Kratos breathed, "Healing Stream!" He ppushed the mana through his body and healed hs wounds. Dizzily, he stood up and shook his head a bit, clearing the buzz in his head. He pushed Aleda out of the way and tackled the monster. Kratos began bashing it with the hilt of Flamberge. "Burn in Hell for making me remember those sinful things i've done!" He picked the creature up and threw it at a tree. The tree cracked down the middle and split. The creature fell to the ground, but stood up a few seconds later. It lunged at Kratos and swung it's claws at him.

Ayame fell to the ground, grasping her shoulder
"you can't hide it anymore can you?" said the same voice from her dreams
"no...I can't" she said gasping for air

Ayame opened her eyes, they were emotionless. without a word she stood up and picked up her scythe, she had a pair of black and white angel wings on her back
".........." she was silent, then she lunged at the creature swinging her scythe with no concern of the others around her

The creature was shoved aside by Aleda's greatsword. Hissing wildly, it lunged at her. "Lightning!" Kratos casted. The bolt singed the creature in the middle of the back and it twisted away from Aleda. "Aleda, when I entered your mind for the location of your cabin, I witnessed a fragment of the event with your sublings death. And this is the same creature..."
