((Does the description I wrote fit, or is the tailed beast just on a mindless rampage?))

Sanrir watched the beast still in his air cloak,however he was running out of chakra and he knew it 'I need to at least HELP someone kill it.....'

Arito watched the demon from the rocks. "So this is the monster that made that terrible cry!"

Yes, can you sense it? This beast surpasses me enourmously! I may be a demon of bloodlust, but this monster is pure, unrifined hatred! Power enviable by all demons! 'How can you praise something like that? We may have to defend ourselves from it!' You were impressed by that wolf-girl's power, correct? Why should my respect for this being be any different?

Arito fidgeted nervously. 'How can I beat that thing? All my abilities couldn't beat a lesser demon like that wolf-girl. Against this, I have nothing.' Wrong, boy. This time, you have me. 'You'd willingly help me fight something so monstrous?' You promised blood, boy. A sip of this beast's life blood would impower me exponentially! Demons can find no greater power than absorbing the strength of another!

'Alright then, new agreement! You keep me alive, and I'll give you all the demon blood you can drink!' Deal, boy!

Grasping the hilt of the cursed sword, Arito began to siphon Animus' chakra and sent a wave into the earth focusing on creating a abundance of diamond under the beast.

Take your time boy, and keep working the earth until more shinobi arrive. The more shinobi there are, the more likely the chance of the beast's demise, and more likely the chance for me to drink it's blood!

Arito did so, and began to spread the crystal deposit farther from the beast. He wondered if the wolf-girl would come here. He had to admit this fight would be easier with her on his side, then against him.

"Oh, this is bad," Arito said, seeing the oncoming flames.

Spotted already, boy? You should work on your stealth! 'Shut it, Animus! You can berate me later!' Arito argued with his demon as he dived under the earth to avoid the flame. Even in the relative safety of the ground, Arito felt the temperature rise several degrees.

'Hey, Animus, what do you call a demon in the air?' Our next target!

With a burst of chakra from the sword, Arito launched the whole column of diamond he had created through the debris of the demon's impact, catching the demon in the stomach, and lifting it's legs several meters from the ground.

'Damn! I can't lift any higher with it's size!' Arito's hands began flipping through hand signs as he sought out the demon's location. "Carbon Manipulation: Earth Style: Stalagmite Uprising!" Several dozen thick spears of diamond launched out of the earth straight up toward the demon.

'Not quite, Animus. The answer I was looking for was shishkabob!'

((FIXED. How's this? I was using the two-tails from the manga as a reference, which is about twice the size of a bus. Way smaller than Gamabunta or Shukaku))

"Foolish soldier fo fortune. Do you now know when you are beaten? False hope is for the weak. You have made a crucial mistake in your technique, seeming to forget that I am a demon of great size and power! Fool, arrogance will be the sword through your tender flesh!"

Letting out a loud, sinister growl, the beast counter attacked. Sensing the large pillar of earth erupting, the tailed beast jumped backwards, leveling several trees in the act. Protruding with it's wide jaws, the beast grabbed the pillar of earth with it's mouth, and threw the pillar as a spear, gutting through the heart of the forest. The beast, now flustered, stood upon it's hind legs, rising to an enormous height, it's pitch black mane blowing in the wind of the air. Letting out a piercing scream to the heavens, the beast looked downward toward the ground again, falling back on all fours. The lion slowly dug it's black, enormous claws into the earth, creating a large crater in the earth, spewing rocks high into the air. Using no hand signs, the beast began to spew fire from it's mouth, igniting the rocks into blazing pieces of destruction. As the rocks descended down to earth, it seemed as if the cry of the beast was answered, a large, dark clouds rolled inward, accompanied by a large mist, limiting the sunlight to almost nothing, creating an unsettling sensation of darkness around the battle field, only being seen the flourescent blue of the lion's body, and his deep, red eyes.

" Foolish oppressors, now we begin a battle, a testament to my own power! Flee in terror, lest you be the subject of my terrible wrath! Fire release: Blazing moon inferno sphere!" Bellowed the lion, creating a large, flaming mass, holding it like a beach ball in the beast's large paws. With one fluid motion, the beast leaped into the air, expelling the large ball of flame, hurling it downward toward the forest all around. There would be no escape.

[[The lion is about the size of....an adolescent version of the Demon fox, about 3/4 the size, it's tails being as long as it's massive body. It's bigger than the reference picture you posted, but I can understand why you thought that. No big deal....and it will get bigger.]]

Kuraiyume and his genin arrived at the scene to see that there had been some rather wreckless landscaping since they had left. A rather large crater was at the location of the beast, and around him some unsightly deforestation had taken place.

"By the gods," Kuraiyume said. "It's larger than I had imagined!"

Kuraiyumed grabbed his kusari gama, and then let go. He knew it could not help him against such a creature.

"So... what now, sensei?" Hayaiko found himself asking.

"I have an idea," Kuraiyume said in a thoughtful tone. "Do you see the host protruding from that thing's head?" The genin nodded. "Well, our only way to defeat the beast is to scale it and to awaken the host. How to go about this is another question. It's too far for me to ride the lightning, or for Taiyouhi to teleport..."

Chi Hana grabbed her kagi-nawa. The grappling hook end shone reflected the flames of the surrounding pandemonium. Taiyouhi took out his kama yari, and Hayaiko took out his katana and wakizashi. "I guess we'll need to do this the old fashioned way," Taiyouhi said in an overconfident tone. "Our weapons may be like needles to him, but they certainly give us climbing handholds."

Kuraiyume was shocked. The plan was brilliant, yet it had so many holes. How would they get onto the creature in the first place? A pang of dread hit Kuraiyume when he realized what he needed to do. "Alright," he said slowly. "I'll distract the beast. You guys get on him and awaken the host." He didn't believe his own words, for they were but a hollow shell, an empty promise, a leaf in a strong wind, in the face of his own fear. But when he looked at his genin, he knew it was something he must do. For his country, for his honor, and for his genin, he would do such a thing.

He took another look at all of his genin and then realized that a grappling hook would not work for Chi Hana. Then he remembered Yoruken's claws.

"Chi Hana, that kagi-nawa will do you no good climbing this beast. Take these." He tossed her the claws.

She put away her kagi-nawa and equipped the claws. "Thanks, sensei. I'll make good use of them."

Kuraiyume sincerely hoped that those would not be the last words he heard from her, but it was too late to turn back. He knew what he must do.

"Hayaiko, you go to the left. Chi Hana, go to the right. Taiyouhi, poof behind him. If you all climb from seperate angles, he's less likely to be able to throw you all off," Kuraiyume said with authority, remembering that he was a Jonin and not just a friend.

As the genin took their positions, Kuraiyume went in front of the beast. He grabbed his kusari gama, and began to swing the chain above his head. He looked the beast straight in the eyes, and by some force he was not sure of, be it love, honor, or sense of duty, he was unafraid.

"Beware, beast!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, heart pounding, adrenaline pulsing through his veins as his mind screamed 'run' and his soul screamed 'fight.' "Today, you shall be sealed!"

After a while he banged on the door, "LORD HOKAGE, I AM HERE TO ASKE YOU SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU HEAR ME OUT" he shouted. "I am here because I am asking that you allow me to take on missions without a squad or a sensei." he said far more camly.
