Events Announcements!
Some exciting announcements are coming soon for the House Cup winners...
I'm strongly recommending you pop over to the
House Cup and Points thread, and see the latest updates, especially the third post.
Ravenclaws excel at creativity, and all students are eligible to nominate posts as well. The Puzzle has been solved, but the link will take you to the thread where points are available to
everyone who posts a (new) 4 house set of icons. I promise you, you will want to have as many points as possible when you see the rewards! We're tied with Slytherin for the lead at the moment.
I also spent time, revising the welcome to Ravenclaw posts, you may want to check out the first 5 posts on this thread!
AKgirl: People say things they don't mean or say things in the heat of the moment that are just plain awful. I'm sorry it hurts. There are all kinds of reasons a 'friend' might say something like that, jealousy, fear that she's not as flirty or attractive as you, stress, control freak, poor upbringing, low blood sugar, hormone surge/time of the month, a temporary brain fart, onset of a real neurological disorder which caused a malapropism (the incorrect use of a word by substituting a similar-sounding word with different meaning), etc.
If it's not true, don't let it twist you up. Pound a pillow, twist a towel to death while growling and snarling, talk your upset out like you did here, in other words discharge your upset responsibly and the pain will pass.
Then you can re-evaluate, and decide to have a conversation with her (or not) to let her know what you felt at her words and request that she doesn't talk about you like that. Listen to your heart to decide if you want to stay friends with her --maybe make a list of pros and cons about being friends with her, but make your decisions after you discharge the pain and distress you feel the best you can.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Congratulations to paraphernalia_101
