Cardi: My parents usually just took us out Christmas shopping with them. *shrugs* Since I met married Hubby I've had to put together a Christmas list.
This year the two things that I really want are a rocking chair and a tablet, so I asked for $... but I had to put down some other things too...

This year the two things that I really want are a rocking chair and a tablet, so I asked for $... but I had to put down some other things too... i didn't really realize how useful christmas lists are until we had that secret santa wishlist thread 3nodding . usually i just wrack through my memories for anything that my friends and family want xd . you mean one of those wacom tablet thingies? wow, seems like everybody's getting them nowadays whee . and i too have no boyfriend and no ring. and i'm proud of it xd . i'm happy being single right now 3nodding .

Kari - He's only bought me a glass necklace pendant with a silver chain, but I'm hoping he'll buy me a ring or something eventually. >_________>;;

and im still having difficutly on what to get him for Christmas/Anni gonk
last year i got him an engraved wallet.. something personal.. i kinda wanna do something like that again, but i cant think of anything sweatdrop

He told me it was too expensive, which made me sad, and after I bugged the farknuts out of him he ended up buying me the silver one. I like silver more than I like gold, but silver is much to soft of a metal to be used in a ring one will wear every day for the rest of her life. It's already scratched up like crazy after only a year. So I told him he has to buy me a real engagement ring when he gets a job where he can afford both video games AND a farking engagement ring for me. It's over 1000 bucks, but I don't care because it's a high quality ring and I should be worth it sad (his Dad's new wife got a diamond the size of a farking grape. It's ugly and she's a gold digger)

I'll be damned if I buy an engagement ring for a woman and it doesn't cost at least 6k. o.0
If I'm in love with a girl (and she with me), she'll get whatever she wants, because she's worth every penny and more. XD

Kari: I dont' think it's wrong. I'd love to have more jewelery from my hubby... (I don't trust him to pick it out on his own though, we have TOTALLY different tastes in jewelery)

The thing is, I offered to buy HIM a guys engagement ring of equal value, which he could wear on a necklace if he didn't like it on his finger. But, he didn't particuarly care...

I love my boyfriend and he's the sweetest guy in the world, but he lacks understanding about gift exchange and the meaning behind it.
