Why do you think they teach people to go for the ribs with a knife?
Its completely fatal.

Depends on where it hits. In the stomach, probably not. Lower ribs.. most likely not.. If it's higher and hits a lung or something? Yeaaaaaaaaah.
Also; I HOPE TO GOD YOU'RE WRONG. D< IF I CAN WIN WITH UP CARDS, I DEMAND TO VERY SLOWLY BUT SURELY WORK MY WAY UP, GOD DAMNIT.
If not.. I might just pay the 10 dollars for a magic online account.

The Last Pedigree I want a judges call on this before I do it. Will a dagger through the side kill someone? Maybe. Quote: Like, is that a DQ or not? See above.

You said it would go through kidney, intestines and s**t.
That is fatal.
Not instantly, but within a few minutes i'd die from internal bleeding and my stomach fluid pouring into the rest of my body.

Yes and no. Chances are it won't kill them instantly, but they will die if they don't receive medical attention.
I mean there's a chance they'd die even with all the right hospital procedures, but healers never ******** up on Gaia.
So no, you won't be DQ'd for jabbing someone in the side with a knife as long as you don't do it an excessive number of times. Think like the end fight of Gladiator. He gets stabbed by that poisoned dagger or whatever, but the fight continues.

Well, then, that is pretty much a fight-stopping move, sort of a Critical Hit. If your character, were, say, not participating in a fighting tournament in which they know that possibly lethal force would be used and decided that they were (wo)man enough or tough enough to handle that s**t, it might actually count as intent to kill.

Either way, my takedown still holds water.
Judges call away.

The Fiend of the West You said it would go through kidney, intestines and s**t. That is fatal. Not instantly, but within a few minutes i'd die from internal bleeding and my stomach fluid pouring into the rest of my body. So that's the question then. If it isn't an automatic death, is it a DQ. A lot of things will kill you over a time.

If you pull a knife and someone runs at you to bearhug you, and you stab them in the side, that isn't a DQ. If the bearhugging person tries to pass it off as one, that's them trying to bend the rules in the favor which is cheating.
If you stab someone in the throat and then start sawing their head off with your knife, that's a DQ. If you stab someone in the lungs and they fall down, and you follow after repeatedly stabbing them, that's a DQ. If you stab them 47 times, that's a DQ.
...but no, this is a fighting tournament that approves weapons, so using your weapon just because your opponent decides to bring a fist to a knifefight is not a DQ.

Again.
If you insist on judge calls, bring in a judge.
This s**t is just for fun to me, I don't much care either way.
I didn't try to get a DQ, just wanted to keep fighting to have fun.

That also depends. If you repeatedly and deliberately take high-potential kill shots, then I'll b***h in the Help Desk and Judge Rant Thread calling for your head.
Once or twice, I'll just shrug and say "s**t happens."

For the sake of getting the call and letting the fight end, despite me wanting to continue on i'll bring the issue up in Help Desk.
Conversation end.
The issue here isn't if I am dead or not, its if my takedown works.

Oh, see, I don't know what the ******** is going on with "his knife wouldn't be able to attack because angles changed because I grabbed him and threw him", so, if I had to give advice I'd say you should have taken some superficial damage. Taking a shallow slash to the side as you fall wouldn't really cost you anything, but would keep the fight rolling.
That being said apparently tussling with a knife is obscenely dangerous, and there's a good chance that either parties will end up cutting themselves or stabbing themselves.
An important thing to remember is that a martial artist who is trained to fight against weapons isn't afraid of being cut. They KNOW if they're fighting someone with a knife that they will be cut. The difference is the severity of the wounds you'll take, and whether or not you'll be able to command the situation in order to preserve your life.
