"Well, if you close your eyes, you can't see all the pretty things that happen as you fly," Cody said, hoping to make her comfortable with flying by the end of the journey. "It's not like I'm gonna let anything happen to you anyways," he said, reassuring her with a confident tone. If anything happened to Adelle, Cody could never forgive himself. "If you do end up looking down, think of it as a positive thing. All the pretty lights or whatever passing under you. Don't make it a bad experience."

"Yeah, well, I think that's enough for today. Read up some more. I'm gonna get back to me studies." Maddy took out her notebook and continued writing, despite the fact that she was standing in the middle of a beach.

"As long as those lights and other pretty things don't start to suddenly get a lot closer very quickly," she said with a small laugh, reaching up and taking hold of his arms around her as she looked down, seeming to hold on to him as she did so. As long as he was there, she might as well try to stop looking like a total fool. It was really pretty...she would give him that.
"I think you're the first person to actually talk me into opening my eyes in the air," she said, glancing over her shoulder, giving him a bright smile. He should be proud of himself...that was quite a feat.

"They won't. I promise," he smiled back. He looked down and realized exactly where they were. The trio was about to pass over Canalave. "Serenity, land in the next city please."
The water glistened beneath them as the Dragonite slowly began to lower itself. He hoped Adie wouldn't worry too much about the approaching water, though it did seem to be her favorite.

Smiling at him for a moment as he reassured her, she turned her attention to the approaching water, something she didn't find nearly as scary. She often felt like she was more comfortable in water than on land. Did that make her weird?
"So, tell he where we are going to eat? Somewhere fancy schmacy?" It was obvious that she was kidding, sticking her tongue out at him playfully as they came closer to landing...one of her favorite parts of flying because it meant that she was that much closer to being on solid land again.

"Well...it doesn't sound too complicated, but is there any particular reason why I would need to know that," she asked, looking at him a little nervously. She could tell that he was joking but at the same time a plethora of scenarios started to play out in her mind, all involving falling, which was not exactly what she wanted to picture when they were coming in for a landing.

"Nah, you're fine," he smiled as Serenity softly landed in the grassy outskirts of the city. Cody climbed off and held out his hand in an offer to help her down if she needed it. "Can you dance?"

As the Dragonite landed, she found herself glad to be on the ground once more, accepting his hand as he helped her down from the pokemon's back. He asked if she could dance, and a sly grin crossed her features.
"Oh...I can dance. Of course, what your definition is of good or bad dancing might have a big impact on whether you want to claim me as a date or not," she said with a laugh, pulling her hair back into a ponytail as she always did. She really needed to think of a new hairstyle...

"Well, I can't dance but I like to try," he laughed, returning Serenity and making his way toward the city. He clipped the ball to his belt and looked over at her. "Canalave cafe is all about dancing and the food is awesome!"

"Well, I hope you know, I'm not one of those girls that orders a salad and leaves all the green on the plate. I like me some food," she said with a laugh as the two of them headed towards the Cafe. This was promising to turn into a very interesting evening...whether it was for the better or worse remained to be seen...
