(At the end of the opera Carmen, Don Juan stabbed Carmen in the stomach and killed her, even though he loved her.)

Actually, he did it out of jealousy.
See, Don Juan was a police officer, and Carmen was a gypsy. Carmen got arrested for cutting a woman with a knife, but then Carmen seducted Don Juan into letting her go. He fell in love with her. He gave up being an officer to joining her band of Gypsies. Carmen then fell in love with the famous bullfighter Escamillo. He fell in love with her, too. When Carmen attended the bullfight, Don Juan showed up, and asked to meet her outside. They then got into a fight, Carmen saying that she'd never leave with Don Juan. Don Juan then took out his knife and stabbed her in the stomach, and then cried.
So, in truth, Don Juan wasn't your ONLY love xD
