I think I'm finally going to open my shop again. I haven't had one for an entire year and can say I've gotten better with what I can do. Over break, I plan on working on examples open it by the new year.

If it weren't for the fact that I'll probably never be offered a Helper or Moderator status, I'd try and talk Meri into a Jedi drawing, myself. It' probably cost me out the wazoo, though... sweatdrop

[random] I went to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe! it was great, i forgot just how much i loved reading the Chronicles of Narnia rolleyes
Some people think that The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is based on the bible because C.S.Lewis was highly religious and all, that and Aslam (SP?) is apparently like Jesus; i just can't see it, Though i'm not religious sweatdrop
EDIT: I only thought about it when a group of people where giving out leaflets about it after the film. I suppose i never looked at the Story in that way. I thought that Ideas such as Minotaurs and Centaurs ect was dismissed in religion? sweatdrop [/random]

It wasn't dismissed in religion really. The only reason why Christians dismissed such things that seemed so pagan was becuase of how badly they were prosecuted by the Greeks and Romans. Example: Christmas day isn't really the 25th of December. They only say it is because that was when one of the largest holidays in Roman history was and Christmas was really a time for fasting and prayer. We didn't start using the christmas trees and such until Midieval and Renaissance times because the people were trying to capture the life of Greeks and Romans. There was nothing really fun for the early Christians because they believed that they would be sinful and blah since the pagans were boastful and gluttinous.
Yes, the books do take on a religious tone. I researched the author when I had first finished up the Narnia books and well as the Alice tales. The way in the last book that everyone seemed to "die" and then go deeper into the world where things became more beautiful and bigger was suppose to be like the travel from this world to heaven.

I wasn't too sure about the Minotaurs and Centaurs thing, It was just something I'd picked up once in an R.E lesson, thanks for clarifying that ^.^
as for the books; i have this habit of not looking at things in a different light, or so to speak. I just saw the books as the books, if that made any sense. I only thought about it today when it was pointed out to me, and me being sometimes closed minded just couldn't see from that point of view sweatdrop But when you say it like that i sort of can see it from that point of view but i guess for me they will just be fantasy stories sweatdrop

That's how the books were to me first until I was thinking about how Aslan is the son of the Emperor over the Seas and how he died on the stone table taking Edmund's "sin" instead.
Editted: I think it's funny how I started to re-read the books again before I even knew the movie was coming out.

I'm doing okay. Just have to figure out how to do the scanlines on some of my stuff when I go to open up my shop again. I added something new and I haven't had my shop open for an entire year, so I never knew about the scanlines, even if I'm going over dividers, banners, and such. xp
