He coughed once, then a second time, a small bit of blood coming up with it, though he shielded Cora from the spray, "I'm..." he coughed once more, "s**t, I'm fine. Ugh...just a little tore up back in my time. Nothing a little break from the world can't fix. Just a bit of a...family problem." Before she could take a guess he rose his hand, "No, its not pops either. Not family in the literal sense, something else. Like the Brink is a family. My family thats having a dispute is rather difficult to describe." He bent over, supporting himself by holding onto his knees, coughing up small bits of blood once more.

:::Her concerned didn't waiver, especially as the hacking continued. She put her hands on his soulders to help steady him, she was already formulating some way to help heal him somehow:::
How have you been injured, I may be able to fix it...

He pushed her away slightly, slowly regaining his composure, "Its ok, I'll be alright. Maybe just a drink or something."

Malazar looks troubled, flipping through the pages of his book even as Torment appears injured. Finally he stops on a page and reads.
"Cora, is this what you saw?"
After finishing the passage to himself he turns the book to her. The picture covers one side of the book and depicts a man of heavenly splendor (nekid too 3nodding redface xp ) but without a head. Thousands of wings beat from his back and seem to be holding him aloft. Below, in UC Script is the word "Seraphin."

:::Cora was still reluctant to allow Torment to shrug her off. She followed him closely to the bar:::
:::When Malazar offered the image, she paused to look at it:::
No, Malazar. Seraphim look much like anyone else who could appear here. He seemed human, aside from his speed and strength.

Malazar nods thoughtfully and flips back to the page he was scribing on. He twirls his finger.
"Thank you, continue please."

:::She thought twice about it...perhaps Torment didn't know, and she didn't want him to be concerned needlessly, But she remembered that this was a problem concerning all who appeared at the Brink:::
When fisrt saw Seraphim, he was vomiting, oddly enough. He said something about not expecting it to be that difficult...I was still in a bit of shock when I heard it.
Anyway...he introduced himself as the Seraphim and outwardly stated in his status that he intended to destroy the Brink, and seize control of it from Tavin....and then he asked me to join him.

Malazar raises an eyebrow at the puking, but says nothing as his stylus scratches away at the pages. He doesn't seem concerned about the Seraphin's words.

Of course, I asked why he would want to do such a thing. He told me that Tavin was some sort of murderous creature, and worse that he was using me and everyone else. He said that the Captain was controling me with emotion to fulfil some ulterior motive.
And so, when I would not listen to him, and when I refused him, he took my by the throat, and held me there... :::A pained look came across Cora's face::: Even with my enhanced musculature, I was not able to budge. He threw me to the floor, and ripped the locket from off my neck. He was about to destroy it, but I must have said something to anger him...he stopped and attacked me again. I remeber being back in the brink...but the next few memories are blurred. I started regaining normal memory whenI awoke from unconciousness.

Malazar growls slightly under his breath as she relates her story. After she pauses he looks up while replacing the stylus.
"We'll have to finish this tomorrow, goodnight, and we will find this Seraphin creature and... repay the kindness."
Malazar waves with a hand that is already fading away...

Torment wobbled back and forth for a moment on the stool he had found his way to, with assistance, the glass he had been drinking from had a small amount of water in the bottom, but it was a deep crimson, obviously full of blood. He hadn't been paying attention, and had mostly recovered from the major external bleeding, no longer dripping massive ammounts of blood from the mouth and from the tips of his squashed down hair. He raised the glass to take another drink and went to set it down, but missed, tipping it over and leaving it teatering on the edge, about to fall off, "Musta been drinkin mah own blood for a half hour...."

:::Cora picks up a clean towel from behind the bar and comes around to where Torment is sitting. She bends down and begins to wipe away the blood that's beginning to dry. She furrows her eye brows, almost scolding him:::
Why is it that everytime I see you now I am treating your wounds?

At first he flinched, not exactly coherent, thus not expecting her to pop up next to him, but stopped and allowed her to continue. His wings twitched slightly, causing a fine black dust to shake off from them as he spoke, "I'd just leave it be...when I go back I'm likely due for a Firestorm, Force Spear and some other form of attempt on my life from 'To...' my attacker. As for you always being cleaning my woundes, it might be the fact I've seen you, or at least the Brink, over 13 times in the last week. Must be so many times I can't count in the last month. I've...like I said, family troubles recently. Old saying about fighting hardest against relatives or something. Can't remember...everything is kinda foggy."

:::Cora shook her head. She looked him over, checked some vital signs, and went back to cleaning up some of the blood from his skin:::
Well, your vitals are stablizing. Nothing I can do but let you get some rest...:::She looks over to the wrack::: Point out your key, I'll help you to your room.

Torment refused, "No, you've helped too much already. I must defeat him without significant aid, or I've lost anyhow. Unfair...advantage in resting. Just...take me to the door so I can go back to my world. As much as I want to save Kalie, it has to be done with honor and respect, else The Serpent might be angered with me again. Can't risk it...no risk...repeating...last time." He seemed to be losing his breath, overexerting himself as he tried to get up alone. He had to get through the door. He could finish healing there. He could stand a fighting chance, if only he could stand.
