Colton walked into the group. "So... anything exciting happening?" he asked as he donned his party hard and took a sip from his canteen that was placed at his hip.

MaddyMage Maddy smiled at Rose's comment. "Thanks. As Leader of the team, I need to look as bad-a** as possible." She crossed her arms over her chest. "I bet Lysandre will think twice about challenging me to a battle now. Especially since I can Mega-Evolve my Garchomp now." "Sweet. I can't mega evolve anything yet, but I'll get there one day" Rose insisted "I put my keystone into this necklace" she tapped the keystone with one finger "I thought it looked nicer here."

Maddy smiled as Colton approached them. "You missed a super showdown with Team Flare last night." She told him, leaning up against the wall. She slipped a flask from her pocket and took a swig from it. "But right now, nothing exciting is going on. I'm still trying to calm down from jumping off the Tower of Mastery." She wasn't sure if she had freaked herself out or was just really enjoying the adrenaline rush.

Colton turned to Maddy. It seemed he had come out of his shell in the recent months. Must have been something to do with all the people of Team Aqua. They were really starting to feel like a team. "Drat. I was hoping for some training. My team needs some practice. I could also fill another slot on my belt..." he sighed, wondering where he could go around the area for some party antics.
EDIT: "Well, I'm headed into the Mountains of Route 8 to do some training." he said as he waited to see if anyone would follow.

Rei stumbled outside. He must have been out for the whole day.
He also may have had one too many fruity drinks the night before, to keep him awake. He looked down at his finished creation: leather gauntlets, with an embedded Key Stone on the left hand.
Worth it.
Noticing his companions were also outside, he joined the group and said his hellos, arriving just in time to hear the invitation.
"Route Eight? Sure, I could use some training as well."

"I guess I could grab a fishing pole and go to route eight too, see if I can catch a nice Pokemon" Rose agreed "I've nothing else to do at the moment."

"Well, I'm headed up top." Colton smiled, his party hat blowing in the light sea breeze. "But I've never actually figured out how to get there the normal way..." he said, looking up to the grassy mesa that overlooked the ocean. "So I guess there's no way up but to climb!" he yelled as he pulled about 600 feet of rope out of his bag, tied it around himself and started climbing the cliff face. "See you suckers later!" he yelled from about 5 feet off the ground.
He could have easily gotten a flying type to ferry him skyward, but that would've been too easy.
GOAL: Reach the top of the cliff.

Rose went inside the Hotel, grabbed a good rod from her room, and raced back out to join the others in climbing after securing her rod to her belt.

Maddy sighed as she watched Colton start climbing the face of the cliff. "I haven't climbed anything this high in a long time." She said, plucking a Pokeball off her belt and releasing her Fletchinder. The bird Pokemon took off into the air, flying circles above the group. "Fletchinder will keep an eye out, in case anyone falls." Maddy explained, following after Ginji. She didn't have any rope on her, but she had scaled some pretty dangerous obstacles without it back in the day.

As Colton climbed, the sea beneath him seemed to get smaller. The people still on the ground were like Joltik to him. However, misfortune is a cruel mistress and as he placed his hand on a handhold, a tentacle like object wrapped around his wrist. Slowly, at first, he started drifting upward, away from the cliff face.
The teen was confused at first, but as he looked up to see a purple underbelly of a Pokemon, he understood. "Ah! Drifloon!" he smiled as the two continued upward.

Rei stared up at the cliff.
"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try." He had climbed a cliff before, but it was only the vertical cliff that held his cave home within, back in the deserts of Hoenn. He stretched and pulled out his own length of rope, tying one end securely on himself, and tying the other end in a large loop. Finishing that, he turned to his anxiously awaiting Zubat.
"Countess, fly to the top and see if you can't find something to keep me alive." She took the rope with her dainty feet and zoomed to the top, finding a rock large, well-shaped, and solidly planted in the ground. She fit the hoop around the rock as best she could and returned, indicating which direction would be best for his climb. He nodded his thanks and began the climb, his Zubat nervously hovering at his side.
He laughed; she was always a worrywart. "Don't worry, I've done this plenty of times, remember? There was even a sandstorm one time. This is perfect weather." The Countess was not relieved. Halfway up, he stopped and turned to look at the view. The beach was a strip far below him, and the sea glimmered in the sunlight.
"We should do this more often," he said to nobody in particular. Satisfied, he continued the climb carefully. He only lost his footing a few times, and only once was he really worried that he might be needing Fletchinder's assistance, but the Countess had rammed herself against his body and helped him keep hold before that became reality.
After many minutes passed, Rei sat at the cliffside, resting a moment to catch his breath and wait for the rest of his friends.

"Hi Rei! I caught a ride. " Colton said as he waved down to man on the mesa. "Alright Drifloon, you can let me down now." he called up. After getting no response he tried again "Drifloon?" he asked. "Drifloon?" Together the two soared higher still, up past the mesa and rising. "Well, I'm going to deal with this, when you all get there, go ahead and fight a Pokemon and feel free to catch one. That should be enough training for the day." Ginji yelled down as he thought of a way to get out of the predicament.

When she reached the top, Rose wandered off in search of some water to go fishing in, and soon enough found a stream, but she needn't have lugged the fishing rod all the way up here because there was a skrelp near the shore. "Use Thunderbolt to get it out of the water." rose ordered upon calling out her Meowth.
Her Meowth changed it's angle, then did as it was told, attacking with a thunderbolt at just the right angle to get the skrelp on dry land "Now use PayDay" she ordered
Everything seemed to be going well, so she wasn't going to need a second Pokemon, it seemed, but their would be other chances to train her Eevee. Once the PayDay struck Skrelp (PD +250), Rose threw a Pokeball at it and Skrelp was drawn inside.

Rose smiled and went to Pick up Skrelps Pokeball, then turned to look for Meowth, who had wandered off. Her Meowth did that sometimetimes, but she knew it would find her way back so we went to rejoin the others while waiting for her Meowth to come back.

Rei watched as his fellow Aquan rose higher and higher to the sky. He couldn't suppress his laughter despite the dire predicament his friend was in.
"Haha, ok, see you soon, I hope." He waved goodbye to the unfortunate Colton and turned back to the cliffside, waiting for the rest of his members to catch up.
Hopefully, they all wouldn't arrive by Drifloon.
A hiss behind him caught his attention. He swiveled around and met eyes with a huge viper!
"Oh crap! Eevee, go for it!" The Pokémon jumped out of its Pokéball and happily rammed itself against the snake. Its cheery disposition soon changed when the injured Seviper sunk its deadly fangs into its body in retaliation. Twitching from the poison, Eevee decided that Baton Passing to a fellow Poison-type would be best, and Rei did his best to not cry out in surprise when his Eevee swapped out with his Zubat.
"Ah well. Countess, Acrobatics, but try not to faint the thing." She obliged, and nimbly attacked the Seviper before it had the chance to attack back.
Rei watched as the Seviper, now dangerously low on health, was resorting to its hidden reserves to muster its energy to attack back. The Countess accepted a tail to the face, knowing that her master wanted to capture the Seviper.
Rei pulled out his recently obtained Great Ball.
"Well, here goes nothing." He tossed the ball at the Seviper, and in three clicks, it was caught. Pleased with the results, he turned to the Countess.
"You ok? Poison doesn't do much to you, right?" The Countess scoffed; it would take more than a simple poison to best her! At his belt, the Pokéball holding Magikarp shook; another experience shared. Rei sighed.
"At this rate, Karps is going to be too lazy to do anything. I doubt he'll even remember how to fight." He joined back up with the group.

Maddy had taken her time scaling the cliff as it hadn't proven that difficult. She soon joined the others at the top. "Well, I guess it's about time I added a new Pokemon to my collection." She said, taking her Sliggoo's Pokeball off her belt. She wandered into a nearby patch of grass, interested in seeing what Pokemon she may find. After a few minutes, a little Pokemon jumped out at her. It appeared to be a Bagon. Maddy released her Sliggoo. "Dragon Breath!" A burst of golden flames erupted from Sliggoo's tiny mouth, engulfing the enemy Pokemon. Bagon growled angrily and rushed forward, slashing at Sliggoo with claws that glowed with a bloody light. "Body Slam!" Sliggoo jumped onto Bagon, the force of his body slamming down on the little Pokemon. Bagon cried out in pain and used a Dragon Breath attack of it's own to retaliate. The little dragon was panting heavily from the effort, though. Maddy reached into her pocket and pulled out an empty Great Ball, tossing it at the weakened dragon. Bagon was sucked into the ball. Shake... Shake... Shake... ... Ding! Bagon was caught! Maddy pocketed her prize and returned to the others.
