Cody ran in, crashing through the approaching waves and diving in next to her. He used what he did know to swim out a bit deeper and floated there for a while, soaking in the coolness of the ocean water. Maybe she was right. It did take away alot of stress, tension, and negativity. "What are you still doing in the shallow water?" he playfully called to her, knowing he wasn't much deeper.

Adie laughed as he crashed through the waved, bringing her hands up to cover her face as ocean water sprayed her. Turning as he moved out to deeper water, she swam out to his form floating in the water.
"Well, you gotta give me a minute to catch up silly," she said, laughing as she kicked back, floating back in the water next to him with a contented sigh. Nothing made her more relaxed than the ocean, especially at night.
"Nice, night, huh?"

Cody watched her swim, wishing he could be as good as her. "Well, your minute is up," he laughed. Though he couldn't swim, he had always loved the water, especially the ocean. Now he had found someone to enjoy its beauty with.
"Very nice night; if you're speaking literally, that is," Cody smiled at her, wanting to make a good thing out of the stack of bad things that had been piling up since he was gone. "Congrats on the rank up, by the way. I read the rewards bulletin"

"Oh, thanks! I was really excited. Not only did I get a rank up, but two pretty awesome pokemon got added to my team yesterday. I still don't have a team nearly as good as you, but I'm working on it," she said with a small laugh, glancing over to him as she floated next to him. He was good company, especially now that he appeared he was in a better mood.

"Well, the rank-up was well deserved," he said, hoping he wasn't flirting with her. She was pretty but he didn't LIKE her... Did he? Hearing her comment about a new addition to her team, he cocked his head to the side and looked at her, confused. "What new pokemon did you catch?"

"Aww, thanks. You're sweet," she said as he complimented her for her rank up. It was nice to hear that someone thought she was doing something good around here, since a lot of the time she felt like she was considerably weaker than the rest of them. He asked which new pokemon she caught, asking the perfect question. She flipped over onto her stomach, treading water a she smiled at him, clearly excited.
"I got an Arcanine and a Golem. Isn't that cool?!"

"Well, you do good work. Ask anyone. People definitely notice even the small things you do around here," he chuckled then half gasped at the new pokemon she had caught. "Where did you manage to catch some amazing pokemon like that?" Cody smiled.

Adie could feel a small blush coming to her cheeks as he continually reassured her that she was doing good work with the organization. He was being really nice to her...it was kind of cute.
"Oh, We went to check out the top of the volcano, where I found the Arcanine. As far as the Golem goes, it attacked me when we got lost in some weird cave after it caved in around us. Yea, yesterday was a long day," she said with a laugh, disappearing under the water for a second before she reappeared, pushing her hair out of her face. She smiled at him as she continued to tread water, feeling a little good at herself that she had pokemon that other people were a little jealous of.

"Well, Growlithe and Houndour are my favorite pokemon and their evolutions are incredibly strong. As for Golem, well, it kinda speaks for itself," he smiled at her. "Even though Golem has a bunch of different weaknesses, it's attack possibilities are almost endless as are the combos." Cody didn't want to sound like a tutor but he continued, "Also, if you can incorporate items into your battling techniques, you can become a very incredibly distinguished battler."

"Yea, Houndour is becoming a constant companion of mine. So much so that she keeps taking over my bed at night. I'm finding that is a constant theme in my life...I love my pokemon too much to keep them in their pokeballs if they don't like it," Adie said with a small laugh. She listened to the things he had to say about her team, taking them all in. He had some good ideas for her team, and she should definitely work on it for her next mission or battle. It was important for her to keep getting stronger, and lord knew she could take whatever advice she could get.
"Maybe you can show be some battling techniques sometime. You're team is really impressive; I'm sure you have plenty of advice for someone like me."

"I've noticed your bond between your pokemon is very strong. It's impressive to read your mission statements and see how well you and your team worked together to accomplish it." He smiled and ducked himself under a passing wave, shaking it out of his face as he emerged.
He blushed, though, when he heard her last comment. "Um... Yeah," Cody agreed nervously. "I would love... to... be with- I mean... Battle you..." He ducked himself under that water again to hide that he had started blushing. He was sounding like an idiot. It was inevitable.

Adie smiled once more, finding the heat in her cheeks rising no matter how hard she fought to restrain it. Watching him duck under a wave as it passed over them, Adie bobbed up and down in the current as he came to the surface once more, stumbling through an answer to her suggestion that they battle sometime. Were they...flirting? This was the first time that she thought anything remotely like the statement that just went through her mind, though she quickly shook her head, pushing those thoughts from her mind. There was no way...he was just being nice to her.
"Well, I hope you know I won't go easy on you. Not that you would need it," she said, giving him a playful nudge as she flipped onto her back once more, floating on the surface as she stifled a yawn with the back of her hand.

"I play go big or go home. Just remember item combonations and status attacks like Rest where they benefit you," he nudged her back, just a little bit harder and floated next to her, looking over then focusing his vision up at the night sky.

Adie laughed as he nudged her back, looking at him with a playful grin on her lips. He didn't want to start that with her...she would totally win. Nudging him back, slightly harder than he did her, she turned her attention to the sky, acting as if she had not moved in the slightest. Man, was she sly.

"Hey!" Cody let off a small chuckle, knowing Adie had nudged him back. He looked over at her, the side of his face becoming soaked in the salty ocean water. He took a deep breath and started to say something... but stopped. It wasn't the right time even though the stage was kind of set. Cody slowly let his hand drift over to hers and rub against it lightly, wondering if she would grab it. If she did, he would say it. If not, it wasn't the right time.
