Well a lot of teens turn to drinking because it looks cool, peer pressure and lots of other things and then when things get bad they get drunk so therefore when they grow up they think that it is ok to do it.
IF you want to go back even further when little kids see parents or any figure that they look up to drinking or any one drinking for that matter that accept it and that acceptance allows them to think that it is ok for them to drink.

I blame the media, they show that people are having a good time drinking, when most likely they will probably be drinking to forget about the day.

You want to know why teens drinks? Simple... it's illegal. In Germany and Italy (of course more countries but just bare with) it's legal to drink young and it's less likely for them to binge drink unlike the american teen which is illegal for them until the age of 21.
So what about the media, they are advertising like they do anything else. It's acting anyways, they don't have their own feelings while their drinking. So how do you know what they are feeling? You don't.

I've never bothered to touch the stuff honestly.
Also, the Imperium of Man has arrived to give the humans a bigger say in what goes on. I chose my custom group as they specialise in anti-infantry warfare, and the Deathkorps of Kreig due to the fact they are both hardcore soldiers that cannot and will not be shaken, and they are the best for training locals to join up and retaining a relatively good standard, and they look badass.

You all have a good point on the subject but seriously as someone that's been drinking longer than any of you...Teens drink because of, rebellion, Hype, the cool factor, depression, pressure, its available, right of passage to adulthood in males...
But most of all have any of you thought about it? "Its something to do!"
Under the supervision of mature individuals, most cases these are older siblings, parents, cousins...basically family members. Even those older ones that take us under there wings and want us to experience life, but in a safe environment. In most of the southern states *Where drinking is not only cultural but its a form of entertainment* Seriously, drinking in the northern states is no where near the level it is in the southern areas. This is speculation I haven't really looked it up...(( Not only have I traveled to about 58% of the USA, I have also traveled over seas to the Bahamas, England, Mexico and about to take a trip to Amsterdam this summer...hopefully. So I am not simple minded on the drinking legalities of the close world as you might think ))
Alcohol is a drug, plain and simple, people are drawn to it like they are everything else. Money, pot, cocaine, sex, heroin, entertainment, colors, needs, desires...If one tried hard enough you could almost make it seem that its human nature to want to drink...OH DAMN! It is...
I'll have to look it up again because its been a few years but there are a few papers/studies done on genetics that have proven that genes do exist that are likely to make someone more prone to violence, drugs, smoking and of course drinking.
What you should be more worried about is in about fifty to a hundred years, what are these scientist doing with this information? Organizing us into sub groups of healthy individuals to unhealthy individuals for the purpose of a better humanity? Then giving our unborn children those wanted genes and abolishing the rest? Now what, I ask thou are your opinions on that?...
(( Mwuaha...Thought I'd twist it around abit xd ))
