There was an episode where the mythic Puck was being forced to change humans into gargoyles and vice versa. I would have SO stayed a gargoyle, given the choice.

I'll definitely need to check that you then. Thanks again.
I find it funny how much gargoyles are used as evil entities when their original purpose was to ward off evil.

That's acutally a big part of the shot to me. Everybody sees monsters, when the characters are following the maxim "Gargoyles protect."

Oh, I'm very glad that they get it right. This show moved up a lot on my to-watch list.

Plus, if you are a trek fan, they brought several of the crew over from The Next Generation cast. Riker is Zanatos (major villain early on), Troi is Demona (villain gargoyle), Data is puck, Worf is Cold Stone (long story, cyborg gargoyle), they even get Janeway and Sisko in there for smaller parts.

I only really know of Picard from Star Trek TNG. The voice actor for the lead gargoyle has done some anime voice work as well.

yes, and to be fair, I find it hard to locate any really bad voice acting in the show. Some melodramatic, but overall quite well done.
I want to see Pacific Rim.

The reviews seem to praise it for reviving the Godzilla genre, so it's probably pretty good.

Ah, good old Escapist; I love Yahtzee. Unfortunately, I can't access that site from my college, even as staff... Yes, I came on staff at my college, but I pretty much had to with this job market.
Is MoveBob's review positive or negative?

He was beyond positive, in fact he did a minireview before the opening segment, and it was him totally geeking out. Moviebob did not want to do the full review because he said all he wanted in the prior segment . . . to him it is just that damned good and fun. I can't wait to see it.

How goes the new puter, mein freund?
I caught myself going overbudget today in my head . . . new puter, corded mouse (so I dont have to worry about batteries), a new flash drive, antivirus/internet protection . . .

Ah, sorry I didn't reply. I kept intending to.
Wow, from the few vids from MovieBob I've seen, he's not easily impressed. I'll have to see that some time.
Very good (too good). I'm enjoy playing Oblivion at more than 5 frames per second finally. The Witcher series is also as good as I had hoped, the sometimes clunky combat system notwithstanding. Hopefully I'll be able to access Steam for the 2 years I'm still here, as I have a good many games there I want to play, with Bioshock 1 being at the top of my list.
I understand that. I didn't calculate the cost of my screen into my budget initially, so there was some cutback in the final order.

I'm working on a playthrough of Bioshock at the moment. heart It has flaws, but honestly is a wonderful game. I also today got my favorite power. Using the research camera, I studied the Houdini splicers and got "Natural Camouflage." Now if I just hold still, I can evade security, and of course wait in plain view for splicers to walk by and nail em with a shotgun. Let the baddies come for me. All I have to do is what I have learned . . . something that only comes with age.
I know how to wait. twisted

I've played System Shock 2 and Deus Ex 1, so I know what to expect from Bioshock 1, and I'm pretty excited for it. I will definitely be going the stealth route my first playthrough. Enjoy the plot; I already know what happens since my friends have played it in years previous, but I won't go spoiling it. wink
