((Hey y'all, how have you been? Good? Well, despite what she wants you to think, Salieri's not doing so well. Sal's going through a weird point in her life. So naturally, her theme song is going to change as well. I've updated her profile with the new one and kept in the old for your listening pleasure. So here's the new song, which I think has a pretty accurate name))

Before Hexum even found Zack in Nacrene City, he felt Jump's Aura leap from one area to another. Tracking down a speedster was difficult for anybody, although Aura based trackers had an easier time. From a distance, he could tell that Jump had reentered the Pinwheel Forest. So the Lucario made his way back to where he started from, walking at a normal pace. If he used his own Extremespeed, he might miss his trainer.

On the way there, he felt a bubbling negative emotion coming from a lone child in a field. Most Lucario could read minds as well as emotions, but telepathy was an ability Hexum lost in the same accident that made him blind. In turn, his empathy was increased.

It was tough for Hexum to ignore such a pained feeling. He had learned over the years to go about his day without intervening in the lives of everyone that was upset around him.

This was a special case. For one thing, a forest fire just burned down a national forest. And this boy sat just on the outskirts. Perhaps it had effected him personally? In times of disaster, Hexum found that human emotions spiked to very high levels.

Jump can wait.

The blindfolded Lucario approached Luka, then remembered the reaction Zack's son and his friends gave him when he began to speak. Ah well. This would just be another person freaked out by his behavior. Hexum was used to being the black sheep among both humans and pokemon. It was the burden that came with his power.

"Are you alright?" asked the pokemon.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 30, 2011 11:47 am

Luka heard the voice and opened his eyes to see a Lucario. He'd been through a lot in the past day. A talking Lucario really didn't shock him at this point. "I'm just trying to calm down after everything that has happened before I head on back to Castelia."

He reached down and plucked a piece of grass from the field which he twiddled with with his fingers. "I went into the Pinwheel Forest to try and get back the skull.... I found the b*****d who murdered and raped my sister years ago. We fought and he left me for dead in the burning forest. I awoke later and found the b*****d, defeated him and took him to the Police Station. Everyone was..... dead..... I just need to calm myself before travelling on. I can't ensure I travel safely until I've conquered my shock."

Hexum stood perfectly still, blinking a few times under his blindfold. Usually, it was humans that were taken aback when they first talked with him. Being in the reverse situation -for totally different reasons- was awkward for him to say the least.

...Uh...I did not see that coming.

The Lucario rubbed his chin.

"That's...erm...wow."

He scratched the back of his head.

"Well, uh...oh, Castelia? My trainer has a car, if you want a ride. To Castelia." Hexum gulped. A short silence ensued.

"He's a good person to talk to about this...uh...kind of...stuff."

Luka looked up at the Lucario again, "Really? Would I be able to talk to him?" He let the blade of grass go and followed it as it danced across the air. It was so calm, so serene. He wanted that serenity of mind back.

Hexum sighed. "I don't know. Would it hurt to try?"

The Lucario reached out, letting the blade of grass weave through his fingers. "I'll be honest, I felt your emotion from the entrance to the city. Sorry if you think that's a private sort of feeling. It's just what I do."

The blade of grass danced around his paw, and he moved his paw through the air to guide it through the wind. "You aren't the only one I feel. There are many people around who are hurting from things that happened this afternoon. Their auras flow unnaturally, stuck on bad feelings like driftwood caught on a rock in the stream."

Hexum put his hand down, and the blade of grass was freed from his grasp. The air current carried it away. "But they will not stay that way forever. They have already begun to unlodge themselves from what was crushing them before. They continue to flow."

"I cannot pretend to know the depth of what you're stuck on. But I can assure you that you won't feel that way for as long as you think you will. Like the rest of them, you'll fix yourself again. It's human nature."

((Here's something with a little bit of character history, just something to let ya'll know im not completely dead, yet.
and thats Not a Bad idea Jump. We'll see what happens.
Also Mars, what kind of "ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH" was it?))

-Knock, knock, knock-

The sudden rapping on the wooden door of there room was enough to stop the shenanigans for the moment. Appu released Tk's Face, and hiba went to answer it. Happy to see the pizza delivery guy. "There ya' go. That should cover it" Hiba said slipping the boy a Fat tip along with the bill.

"wow, where'd you score that kind of cash?" mumbled Tk laying on his back with his head draped over the edge of the bed, Appu mimicking him.

"I Had the Job down at the harbor back in olivine, remember?" Hiba replied sitting 2 of the 8 Pizza boxes on the small Table.

"Yea, thats right. wait, so what, did you get fired. you are a pretty lazy bum..." Tk remarked cheekily.

"And could a lazy Bum get a body like a gods?" he asked flexing, causing The silver haired youth to chuckle. "Your so full of your self"

"Yea yea, but anyways, no. My boss gave me some leave time. dont know why though, i aked him like Twenty times before you left and he always laughed and said no. but about.." he stopped to think back a couple of days keeping track on his fingers "Seven Days ago he gave me the ok"

"Weird" Tk replied biting into a piece of Sausage and mushroom Cheese Pizza, His favorite.

"Id say" the buff youth said before Handing the other 6 Boxes of Pizza out the window to Jaw's. whom with the help of the only other bipedal Pokemon, Spike, laid them out so the both Diego and Iron Hide could access them. Diego barked in thanks, earning Hiba a Lick to the cheek.

"So how long do you have until you gotta go back to olivine?" Tk asked as Hiba sat on the corner of the bed, Grabbing a plain peperoinni and cheese pizza from the other box.

The older boy shrugged, wiping the slobber from his cheek. "Dunno, he said he'd call me when wanted me back"

"hmmmm" came Takamaru Rubbing his smooth chin. Again Appu mimicking him.

The small group of people and pokemon would indulge in there pizza, share some laughs and pretty much just hang out like normal people and pokemon. To Takamaru whom been through quite a bit these past few days, this was Heaven. He hated being away from His friends, Few they may be. but he mostly missing his and Hiba's town wide Shenanigans they'd partake in on a regular basis.

Luka smiled at the Lucario, "Thanks." He sat quietly for a moment and then stood up. He held out his hand to the Lucario, "My name's Luka. What's yours?"

Just then, Luka realised something. He was talking to a Pokémon. A Pokémon that could probably communicate just as well with other Pokémon. Maybe he could find out what Kai, Tayla and Squirt were thinking. That N guy said that he could talk to Pokémon and that had made Luka really want to know what his own Pokémon talked about considering he couldn't understand them.

"Hey, can you talk to other Pokémon too?"

Kijin waited until the other two people around the boulder were looking away from his direction and made a run for the entrance of the forest avoiding for the people that were sitting on the rock, as he heads out the forest he spots Luka talking to a Lucario he gave the boy questionable look before heading into town. He lets out a soft sigh as he sets Venipede on the ground and then promptly puts it back in its' pokeball. "Well onto the pokemon center and get my things.", puts the ball back onto his belt and heads towards the pokemon center only to see Henrietta exiting the pokemon center as he walks up to it. "Hey Henrietta good to see your still standing after that gas."

Henrietta jumped a bit at Kijin's arrival and she turned to face him. She was tired - and it showed. Top it off with the scab that ran down her face and across her fingers. She felt it, too. Sore, tired, she didn't have time to deal with this guy. She hadn't been given a badge for him either, as he hadn't gone to Pinwheel Forest to take part in the recovery of the skull.

The tired girl squeaked quietly at Kijin in response, like she didn't have the energy to humor him with actual words. Her eyes shot down to her C-Gear, seeing wherever Eunmi was.

What? Jackie shot Jump a glance. Like he needed help with girls; of all the... oh, wait right. No, that must be it.

"Who do you want taking out?" she asked.

---

Wayne collapsed on a conveniently placed bench. Walking through the city was hard enough; he didn't need to be lost. Normally he wouldn't mind, but each minute without his pokémon was another minute where he could be with his pokémon. And he preferred those minutes.

"Well at least they're not stolen," he said to himself, arms stretched over the back of the bench and he stared into the sky. If he knew how to use Aura, he could probably just track Salieri down. Having superpowers would probably be really useful in general.

"Hey," Zack said as he landed and Wayne jumped out of his skin. The older man stood up taller and gave Wayne a curious look, like he was analysing him.
"Did you just...?" Wayne gawped back up to the city rooftops and traced the line back down to the cracked pavement, "And then...?"
"It's quicker," Zack replied. "Elizabeth got worried so I said I'd come find you."
"Yeah, I mean, it's been crazy today," Wayne got off the bench, "Plasma, forests exploding, giant freakin' deer..."

"Katelyn and Elizabeth are waiting at the café," Zack said, smirking a little when Wayne's eyes lit up at mention of his little sister.
"Wow... Katelyn's here too, huh?" Wayne smiled at the floor. When he left on his journey, he'd prepared himself not to see any of them again for months, but here they were. Even if they'd come out for other reasons, it felt good to have their support. "Sorry. I let my friend hang onto my pokémon so I have to find her."
Zack frowned. "Can't help you there. Not unless it's someone I know."
Wayne shot his hands up, "No, no, I didn't want you to. I just, err... y'know, I gotta do my journey alone. Obviously with my pokémon but otherwise?"

Zack nodded. He knew how important it was to feel independent. Hell, it's something he'd vied for all his life. Wayne probably just didn't want to feel crowded.

"I get you. We're heading to Castelia soon. Come along with us if you want but it's your choice."
"Thanks," Wayne said with a grin. Zack nodded again and turned around with his hands in his pockets, heading down the street. Wayne's grin settled into a smile, and with a mental tug, he realised something: "Hey, are you not gonna jump up the- err... The building?"
"Taking the scenic route," Zack called back, fading into the crowd. Wayne's arms slumped to his side and he span on his foot.

"Whatever!" he said loudly, deciding to check the pokémon center next. He broke into a run, feeling too impatient to bother with walking. And it'd be a long time before he could scale tall buildings in a single bound.

---

Wayne arrived at the Pokémon Center not long after, the screen doors closing with a mechanical vwoosh. He hurried over to the desk, which was thankfully clear, slammed his hands down on the counter and made the nurse jump.

"Sorry..." he said quietly, "but Nurse! Did anyone come in here with a Hitmonlee, a Petilil, a Solosis and a Deerling that may or may not be the Hulk?"

"Who the ******** opened the ball!" shouted one of the officers.

Had it never been locked? It didn't matter, the ******** was running around, tearing them new assholes. Kor had an evolved Earthquake. He could emit the seismic waves through a persons body, thoroughly destroying them on touch. He was doing that now, taking out Pokemon that contacted him, tearing apart attacks as they touched him. They were simply vibrated apart, like resonance. It was like fighting scalar waves.

[Come on, ********!] shouted the Pokemon who had recovered enough stamina to trash the non-factor interpol agents that had arrived on the scene courtesy of Luka. His ability kept him going, kept him from taking a direct hit.

"Driffie," spoke a woman's voice. She stood at the end of it all, purple cardigan on her small frame. She wasn't like other people, trained and fit. She didn't qualify as that, but she still boasted the world's strongest punch. What was that, you ask? Well, for another day.

Kor turned his attention toward her when she spoke. The frail looking woman with light brown hair and a Drifblim at her side.

"Release."

And then Kor felt his lungs shred and collapse, torn apart by some invisible force that force passed his lungs, ripping apart his organs and insides like they were candy. He thought he was having trouble breathing because of his injuries. It never dawned on him the reason for it.

Bridgette approached, for once having arrived in time to save the day. Luckily she'd gone by transport this time and not by a stupid evil map. She stepped casually over to Kor, the dead Krookodile, as he collapsed.

"Evolved Gust," she announced the move to the baffled people who had survived Kor's onslaught. A move that held the power of gust still, the air littered with Driffie's aura, to be released after it was breathed in by the opponent. Brutal execution.

That wasn't all, Kor wasn't the only one that had been released. From her left came Blitzle, charging with all his speed.

She twisted around to face him, a punch headed in his direction. A glow emitted from her palm, and that was all Blitzle saw before he was smashed into the police station, crushed flat and dead against the wall.

And Wailord fell to the ground with a shake of it as he was released. The secret behind the move not seen by its victims. The worlds strongest punch was no more than the release of Wailord when it was too late to dodge.

The last one came, Trubbish. He charged from behind and Bridgette released a coin with her other hand at it. Forged of Steel Aura.

"Railgun."

The Magneton at her other side responded to the order, using a magnetic rail created of aura, invisible to the naked eye, to send the coin into the opponent. Trubbish was thrown back as his momentum was overcome, hitting the floor with the coin stuck in is body.

But that wasn't the devastating part. The coin was a catalyst for moves. Such as - "thunder."

With no way to dodge it, Trubbish was destroyed by the Thunder that started from the coin, dead in an instant.

"You guys can handle the rest, right?" she asked. It was a silly question, all they had left was Albert stuck in cuffs being loaded into the transport vehicle.

Bridgette scanned the scene as she recalled Wailord. "Yep, that about does it."

((I got bored, this is a standalone post, don't go replying to it please.))

Who do I want taking out? Jump rubbed his chin. Well that was a weird way to put it. She means take out on a date, right? Geez, how long has Jackie been out of the game? She has to review her dating grammar.

Either way, he was glad Jackie was clueless about the problem he thought was so obvious. It seemed that lately, everyone had been blowing up his spot with Artemis. It was nice to have at least one person who didn't know of his infatuation.

"It's Artemis. I know, I know, that seems weird and crazy. But it's a good idea, even if everyone else can't see it. And I know she feel the same way."

He sighed and put his hands into his pockets. The Interpol Agent could feel an unopened pack of cigarettes resting in one of them. Jump hadn't smoked for two years, but he still clung onto a fresh pack anyway. For comfort's sake. He felt gross about it, but quitting was never easy. He had already done it three times, anyway.

"I tried taking her out a few times over the past couple of years. But everytime I'm about to, she runs away faster than an Abra. So whenever I try to get close, it's like she senses something bad and bails."

Jump began to pace while talking. "I mean, is that just me? I know I have kind of a...reputation for being a lady killer. Find my mark, take her out, and when the job is finished leave the area clean and bounce like I was never there. But Artemis is different! She's no one night operation, not a chance. If I take her out, I wanna make it nice. Like with candles and stuff. Maybe I'll wear a suit."

He paused mid pace and turned to Jackie. "I guess what I'm trying to get at is...uh...do you know why she'd run away? What am I doing wrong here, Jackie? I've never failed so bad at taking someone out before."

****

"I'm Hexum."

Luka's next question was one he saw coming. After figuring out he could talk to both human and pokemon, most people who met Hexum asked him to be a translator. Hexum didn't mind so much. But sometimes the things pokemon said were not what their trainers wanted to hear.

"I can. Not to brag, but both the humans language and that of pokemon are languages I'm fluent in."

****

Only a few seconds after Wayne had entered the pokemon center, Salieri came in with a palm on her head and a straw on her lips that connected to a smoothie. The Battle Girl's previous one had been knocked to the ground accidentally by Gorm. She would never forgive him.

"There you are!" she called over to Wayne. "I didn't think I'd have to backtrack here to find you. Where have you been, cowboy? You look..."

Actually, Wayne looked like he was in a better condition than he was in the Pinwheel Forest. He hadn't been hurt, but he looked healthier now. Salieri didn't know it was thanks to Sherry's Audino.

She took another sip of her smoothie, then winced. Her palm pressed harder against her forehead.

"Sorry." She chuckled. "Brainfreeze."

Jackie folded her arms and sighed. "This might surprise you, but even I've had trouble taking people out before."

She didn't mind giving this advice. It was something she was more comfortable talking about than most other things, actually. Besides, she'd never really liked Artemis anyway.

"Sounds like it's a confidence thing with you. You're going from being friends to trying to take her out; that's a big leap. And you're probably worried about what people are gonna think of you afterward. In my experience, their opinions don't matter.

"Look, you're just gonna have to bite the bullet here and do what you have to do. Just remember to clean up once you've got it over with."

---

"Hey Sal!" Wayne grinned and the nurse crept away. Her work was done here. "Yeah, yeah... I look a mess. I fell in some mud and stuff. Probably gonna have to get some new clothes in Castelia. Once I can afford to anyway..."

He pounded his fist onto his palm.

"Oh yeah! You still have my pokémon, right? I must've passed a million wild pokémon on my way outta that forest and I couldn't train against any of them."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 09, 2012 1:15 pm

Jump's eyes widened. He had no idea Jackie was that type of girl. It didn't surprise him at all that she had trouble with this sort of thing, but the things she said after...spoken like a true player. In his experience, someone like Jackie could be the most chill of all one night stands. Damn Jackie, maybe in another life we could've gotten it on.

"So you think I should just go for the straightforward approach one more time, huh?" Jump slapped his palm to his forehead, shaking his head in embarrassment while grinning. "I think you just spoke some sense into me, Jackie. That should've been obvious from the beginning! I'll just catch her off guard and sweep her off her feet! Classic Jump technique!"

He chuckled with that smug attitude that accompanied what he perceived to be a good idea. But the laughter halted when the last part of Jackie's advice sunk into his brain.

"Hold up, I'm no slob. I may do this a lot but I'm tidy. And safe. Because I don't want kids coming up out of nowhere, you know?...although maybe someday, that'd be kind of cool."

****

Salieri nodded, taking another sip of her drink. "Mmhmm."

She took Wayne's pokeballs out of her bag and looked up at him, gesturing for him to take them. "Henrietta gave you your badge, right? I've got mine and I'm getting out of this city A.S.A.P. There's nothing left here for someone at my level, so I'm going to show Burgh what's up."

Kids? True, sometimes a target's children might come looking for revenge. Generally, it was a pain to deal with.

"You do it right," Jackie said, "and you won't be held responsible further down the line. I've had kids come looking for me in the past, but because I approached it right in the first place they were off my trail before they even started looking."

Burgh?

"Did you...?" Wayne fought back a smile, "Did you just burp?"
