}This is gonna be a double post, color coordinated to avoid confusion. ^o^{
Asherah could the creatures breath growing weaker, and in all honesty, it made her slow down. She felt bad. Drawing little circles in the sand, she twisted her wrist, and noticed a small glow. 'Circles...Circles....' Her eyes widened as she snapped her fingers.
"That's it!" She burst out with a laugh.
Jumping to her feet, Asherah faced away from the creature, and extended both of her arms. Her left hand to the sky, and her right hand to the ocean. Taking a deep breath, she began to mumble something. In time, it would make sense.
---------------------------------------------------------
Giggling, Cheshire slowly peeled off her grin, and handed it to the bunny. Now where her grin used to be, was simply skin.
"You see?" The grin chattered. "I can to lots of things, but I don't know how to tell you."
The grin began to float and bob around Madison's ears. With her palm open, Cheshire's grin plopped itself down, then she smacked it to her face.
"All I can say," she pointed down the street and giggled, "is go that way."

Madison blinked for a few moments and rubbed her eyes, she did not believe what she just saw. But it happened, definitely, it happened. Her eyes wouldn't lie to her, well she hoped they wouldn't. The rabbit cocked her head sideways as she looked at the cat in confusion.
"What's that way?" Madison quickly began to walk towards where the cat was, so she didn't lose track of her. But she did not want to go too far in case it was a trap of sorts. After all, you can never be too cautious.

"It's where you need to be. Unless you," she pointed in the opposite direction, "feel like that way. Of course, you can go either way seeing as the voice you are hearing can only be found when it talks."
Licking her hand and cleaning her ears gently, Cheshire purred and awaited her answer. She didn't have anywhere to go, didn't have anything to do, might as well still follow.

.Antique Heartbeat.

Ryugi soon walked up after a few minutes, and returned just in time to hear her mumbling something. I don't know if chanting is going to do us any good my friend. Right now, I think the best thing to do is find a place for us to hide with our little friend here until morning.Ryugi walked up and leaned against a lamp post by the dock near Asherah.

"I don't know!" She was becoming very frustrated at this point, small beads of tears began to form in her eyes as she flailed slightly. She didn't know what to do. Finally she sat on the middle of the side walk and pouted in her place as though a child would do when they were upset with their parent.
Stay In Latent The voice whispered slightly in her head. Madison finally began to get fed up and smack the side of her head with fists. Angrily, as though to shut the voice out.
"I AM HERE! I AM HERE!" She sobbed slightly as she continued to smack it harder. She just wanted it to stop.

Reaching out quickly, Cheshire put her hand between Madison's hand, and her head. Then, she bent down a bit and put her ear to Madison's.
"Oh..." She whispered.
Standing up, she point to her head and jumped around for no apparent reason.
"It's in your head! It's in your head! Heehee!! Cheshire got it! It's in your head!"
Stopping, she collapsed and rolled about the side walk, making people eye ball her weird actions with curious closed minds.

"It's not funny!" Madison wiped her tears quickly away, as a few more people became angry with the fact that they were blocking the road for others. The rabbit finally rose to her feet and looked down at Chesire.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do!"

Despite Ryugi's doubts and dissension one could never know where or what the reaction would be. If Asherah was trying to reach out to the unconscious being she would surprisingly be met with success, there was something there it was simply too weak, too tired, to show itself, to speak, to move....or really even to be "alive", right now. It huddled around its last spark of energy trying to keep its memories alive until its power returned. It had exerted itself rather harshly the night before.
At the same time, Ryugi was right. An exposed metallic beast like this would catch alot of attention from the villagers at daybreak if not a bit before when the first few fisherman made their way to their boats to be ready to set sail by dawn.

Asherah shook her head as the creature responded. It was indeed unexpected seeing as she was performing a protection spell. It was a special one, one that could fool the eyes of normal humans, or those of the untrained magical eye.
But she kept her chants strong. And in no time, water began to creep from the ocean and settle on the creature. With the sun rising fast, she needed to hurry, but also be thorough.
"C'mon c'mon!" She squeaked as the last bit of water washed over it.
She could see it. Asherah wanted to make sure the only other person to see was Ryugi. Just a little tweaking to the spell would do the trick. Pricking the very tip of her thumb on her sai sword, she smeared a bit of her blood on the creatures foot, or on the bottom rather. By doing this, and saying Ryugi's name, the creature was safe.
For now.

Ryugi blinked. He wasn't sure if a spell was needed to hide the creature, but hey, if she was willing...
I would suggest we get to a spot thats not right in plain view. Our friend might be hidden, but we don't want to attract unwanted attention either... Why don't we find a secluded spot down the beach where we can hide?

"Okay." Asherah huffed and picked up her back, then started to walk. "You carry him."
Giggling, she wiggled her nose as she looked towards the sun. With a blink or two, her face scrunched up, her eyes twitches.
"YAAAA-CHOO!" She sneezed and stumbled back a bit, shaking her head as she always did. "Ugh..."
The sunrise always made her sneeze for some reason. But now, she was off, knowing Ryugi could and would follow.
"I think there is a cove over there if my eyes don't deceive me."

Ryugi grunted and shifted a bit under the creature's weight as he hefted it up. He was lucky that they were moving out of the area. Because nothing would call attention to him as he evidently appeared to carry nothing, yet strain and struggle. It would have been better off just to wrap the creature in a sail or sheet of some sort and then carry it... But what was done was done, and with the sun coming up fast, they didn't have much time to reach the cove...
Lucky for me...*pant*...if this little fellow was much heavier, I might not be able to lift him at all. What's he made out of anyway...*grunt*

The parted curtain revealed thousands of shades of blue, easily putting the ocean and the sea to shame in a moments glance. This one had collected, and she had collected a good portion of her life. Perhaps the color was part of her power, perhaps not.
The room smelled of sea salt and through the layered fabrics that formed the tent walls came a constant refreshing breeze. It was reminiscent of standing on the edge of a high plateau and feeling the fresh mountain gush past and through ones self.
This was barely a home, a small cot sat in the far corner of the room, with layers of thin fabrics forming its "bed". In the center of the room was a simple table with a gentle blue cloth draped over its surface and a series of cards, each about 3inches long and 2inches wide and each a seemingly important part of the tapestry.
Make yourself at home...the cards await you...
The woman said, from across the table. She pulled back the shall of blue covering her face and hair, and revealed herself to a young woman of tanned skin and ocean blue hair. Like her tent, like her clothes, it appeared as if the sky and sea had kissed her eyes together making two impossibly deep gazing tools. Maximos was intrigued, he fully breached the curtain and aimed to step forward when his bare foot bumped into a shoe! At which point he noticed a pile of shoes by the entrance, a pile his shoes soon joined. She smirked, as if his accident was not one at all. The smirk giving birth to the sort of smile that secretly and tauntingly says, "I know something you dont know....".
He approached the table and sat, his eyes affixed on hers, a curious smile spread across his features. Her eyes were ensnaring, but it was almost as if they were meant to be. For Maximos it seemed they held answers, and he looked so keenly to find them, but found nothing. And just as he was about to speak, not but a moment before his mouth was about to spread a second before it showed, she spoke.
If you follow the signs, will can never be led astray. You will find the light and dark on the path of your life. You will see where you have been to understand where you must go. Are you willing to accept whatever the signs may show...?
Knowledge...Truth...its true, he searched for both. And it was true the price may be dear, but nothing in this world worth having was free.
Yes.
He said back firmly. Not in offense, but in confidence, in unwaivering resolve. Accepting his assurance she bowed her head, and then began. Her hand slid out across the table coming to rest over her first card.
Your current position...
Her fingertips gracefully slid up the spine of the card and it name came to her, and slipped from her lips as she opened it toward Maximos and laid it on its back. It depicted a young man standing over a magical tome his hands caught in elaborate actions, colorfully painted swirls of energy dance in his hand as he smiles at his own success.
...The Magician...the knowledge you seek requires sacrifice...stay determined...and you will find your hearts desire.
Like gently stirring a bowl of water, she gracefully moved to the next card flipping it just as kindly. It displayed a balloon floating high above the ground, with the horizon clearly in view.
Your current influences...the Ace of Pentacles...you seek knowledge beyond your horizon...beyond here and now...be careful not to forget what matters most...
He could see it now, a pattern. In her words and actions. Something shone through, but what? While he searched, she continued to the next card a woman on a seat of riches and splendor.
As your goal...the Queen of Pentacles...you believe you can overcome your difficulties, by understanding them. You will give anything toward this means. Beware you do not give yourself...
Her eyes, they seemed to be truly reading the cards. But that defied logic, how could she read anything new from cards she had likely seen hundreds of times. She saw...but what?
Nine of Swords. Like shadow's, our inner demons oft appear larger and more dangerous than they truly are....yet still they may destroy us. I see you've conquered your destroyer.
A silent grin. The card displayed a figure hiding from a large shadowy beast with many a sword protruding from its body and one grasped so tightly in its hand. Now he was convinced.
You've found her.
She said, slipping over the next card, revealing the visage of a beautiful woman with flowing blue locks rising from the sea. She looked wise, and yet young, beautiful, and yet mysterious. Her clothes were adorned in a most beautiful way. And she appeared to be casting her voice out and calming the sea. Maximos couldnt help but feel he knew her somehow...and very well at that.
The High Priestess. She has visited your recent past. She has allowed you to look sincerely within yourself and find the light that leads to discernment.
He was astonished, while much more fantastic and fancifully adorned the card...it looked just like L--But it couldnt be. His attempts at deciphering her power was tossed off course, as he waited with agonizing curiosity for the next card to be revealed. Her finger touched the back of the card and as if it was hot, her hand jumped back. Without missing a step her eyes focused and she reached forward again, this time slower. She seemed to strain, as if trying her hardest to endure. She looked less in agony and more under serious duress. It was like the look her received from Mama Rellena...was something here a secret? As her hand came to a stop just an half inch above the card it seemed the reading was about to come to an abrupt end.

....The Devil...!
She said in an exasperated gasp as she forced her fingers the extra bit, just barely snipping the edge of the card and turning it on its back. She looked as though she had just run several miles, or more specifically, like she had been chased.
As the card settled on its back, the woman brought a shaky hand to her chest, as she caught her breath and regarded the picture on its surface with some sort of horror.
It was a bestial creature of a violet hew, shades of purple both light and dark swirled on its skin like a tie died canvas. But behind it were two unmistakable angelic wings filling the surface of the card with a deathly shadow. From its maw came a gust of firey orange, that danced between it down turned horns almost beautifully, and finally behind it lashed a spiny, sickly, tail. Chains held it in place, though by the look in its eyes, not for long. The card itself had no discernible magic but the woman seemed to be building her courage and strength in case it should attack her.
...Haunts your future....
Her words were spaced by short gasps for air.
It tells us that some things...we believe to be good....are really the chain that holds us...enslaved....It questions us to challenge...the scale of values others have put on us...
Her hand moved from her chest, slowly and pointed directly at Maximos, his eyes immediately locking on it. Almost completely at a loss to understand the powers at play here.
For you....it is more. Your demon is your friend...your enemy....your secret....soon the Devil may...even be...your...ally....excuse me.
Each breath seemed more strained than the last, until that very moment.
Yes of course, take your time.
She said, scooting her seat back and standing up. She made her way to the opposite end of the room where she poured herself a cool glass of water from her canteen and returned to the table, sipping it a bit as she settled herself.
Her right hand grasped the glass, while her left scanned out to the next card.
The questioner...you...
As her finger touched the card, a chill ran down her spine, and she shivered. In her opposite hand the glass grew even more chilled, its surface fogged forcing her to set it down so as not to spill it. The card depicted a man dressed in all black with flowing black hair and pale skin dismounting a dark steed. His empty, emotionless eyes stared down at the form of fallen soldier. It was peaceful, serene...final.
Her words were soft, as if he could feel the empty gaping chill from the card.
....Death. You are a bringer of great change. You are the start of a new path and the end of an old...You are feared, and yet respected....
He could see it now, the way she gazed at the cards. The way they flushed through her, pushing her away, chilling her to the bone, and filling her with exuberance or disaster. Or in this case...confusion.
The Wheel...What influences you right now is a mystery...why do you seek this knowledge? For whom are you searching? Only you know.
She used the cards literally as signs on a crossroad. By reading the signs she can guess and derive meaning from what is to come or what has passed. "Construction Ahead", "New things on the horizon". She was skilled in her art but...
Ten of Swords....when all hope is lost, remember all journeys come to an end. No foe cannot be felled...you will find what you seek.
He laughed to himself a bit. This woman was truly powerful for her age but....she was not the one. She let out a sigh of relief as her hand rested on the last card.
This final tarot...tells the outcome of your tale here. But I feel you already know what it says...
Maximos moved to speak.
Names are unnecessary, the cards show me more than words ever will. Follow the Divining Star south, and you will find what you seek.
Thank you.
He said with a bow, and smile, sliding back his chair and scooping up his shoes. Regarding the woman with a smile before stepping outside. The sand was hot, and the sun was dry...something told him he should get used to it.

So there was this man. Dressed in a suit. It didnt matter what the specifics of the suit was. All that was important was that he was dressed in a suit. And he had a breifcase.
He sat at the table of one of those restaraunts with a patio. Or something. And he simply waited.
Yep... that what was happening at the time. And we'll pretend its day. Mid day. Maybe even noon. Whatever.
