"Well, I feel like I should explain it to you anyway....." He sat down in the windowsill and looked away into the distance for a while. Then he started speaking, still not looking at her. "Her name was Maelin. She had been my girl since we were six years old. I was planning on proposing to her the night of our senior prom, well, formally anyway. I had been planning it for over a year. Five days before that was when she was killed.......There is nothing in this world as strong as the kind of love that I felt for her. Nothing. When she died, part of me did too. I will always be loyal to her memory. Part of that, is not being with anyone else unless I love them as well. You will find that most fae tend to be a bit....well....nevermind, just know that I am very unusual. Rhapsody is a satyr. They are subject to wild mood swings when they get drunk. She likes men enough as it is. When she is drunk, she doesn't like taking no for an answer. She cornered me one evening and decided that she liked me. I told her no, and she didn't like that. She tried to.......well......you heard what Remus said. I had to break her arm. She passed out after that. When she came too, all she could remember was that I had broken her arm, she didn't remember why. She has held it against me ever since."

Mae was flooded with emotions, grief, saddness, joy, hatred. she didnt know how to react or even if she should. she stood there wanting to reach out but was frozen. she was stuck in a weird statue-like state. Finally she was able to choke out "Thor..."

He couldn't look at her. He was trying his hardest not to cry. Only the Lady knew his whole past, he had never told anyone else about it before. It was too painful. Tears were unbecoming of a redcap, and he knew if he looked at her, he would cry, because she looked exactly like Maelin. Everything about her was identical. It was almost more then he could bear.

Mae could sense he was overcome by saddness and in truth so was she. She fell to the floor before her hitting her knees hard. She leaned forward and held onto his leg. "Thor..... Thor...." she was bawling like crazy and found it hard to breath "Thor.... Thor...."
((aww... can she have both =/ ))

It was too much for him. His tears came. He knelt next to her and just held her, like he would have Maelin if she were still alive, and sobbed.

((so sad. awwww. I have to tell you, I almost cried when she told Thor to go away. He may be a redcap, but I don't think he could have survived another broken heart. he barely got through the first one.))

Mae collaped into him. She had never seen him cry like this... well...ever! She buried her face into his chest and just cried. "T....hor..." she wispred. "Im so sorry." She buried her face further into him, grabbing his shirt and crying harder."Im so sorry."

After a while, his sobs died. "There was nothing you could have done. You weren't even alive then. I spent fifteen years after that locked away in a sort of stasis. I don't know how she did it, but Lady Marienara shut me down for a while. The only thing I remember for all those years is that she slowly took my grief away. I don't know how she did it, and I don't remember anything specific, but somehow, she did. When I woke up, fifteen years had passed, but I no longer wanted to kill myself. That was only four years ago. don't be sorry, I don't want you to be sorry, I want you to be happy. I've had a tough life, but I don't want you to feel bad about it. It wasn't your fault."

Mae pulled on his shirt and brought herself up to his face. she brought herself close but just before her lips pressed against his she stopped. She couldnt move any further. I cant she though. I cant do this... She gripped his shirt tighter and unwillingly slowly backed away.

"I....I'm sorry," Thor said as he let her go, his face was now the same color as his bandanna. "I know you just feel sorry for me, but.....*sigh* Nevermind. You can just forget this whole think happened if you want. I guess I should be going now." He stood up and started walking out of the room.

Nick stopped playing his game and just started wandering around looking to see if he could find someone to talk to thinking to himself I think ill sleep at the park there are some nice trees there he started to hum.
