Sammy had her eyes closed and didn't see the ground rushing up to her until... It hit. The breath was taken out of her as a sharp rock stuck in-between two of her rib bones, causing a searing pain to shoot down her spine. However, she didn't scream for fear of what might lurk in the cave. She got up, ignoring the small stain of blood that was forming on her shirt from where the rock had entered her ribs and stayed there. She sighed, replying to Mr. Ginji through her TADS, "I'm... okay... You guys good?"

"Yeah, I'm good" Ginji replied as he looked through the pages of his TADS. "It looks like all our caves meet up, but not for a long while. And from there they lead to the surface." he smiled, the signal was weak but at least they had a map. "Just keep headin north. And take down any opposition you may face. Feel free to catch one allowed at your rank."

Adie listened to Ginji as he told them which way to head. North. Why was it always north? She looked at the screen of her TADS, pulling out the map that she thought he was using.

"A-alright, I'll see you guys topside," she said, pushing herself up all the way. She had not heard from Jack, but as she heard Sammy make the same conclusion, she thought she heard him moan. At least that meant he was alive...even if it didn't tell them anything else about his condition. It was clear that they fell a long way...any number of things could be wrong with him. However, there was nothing she could do to help him with a shoulder like this. Why was it hurting so much?

As she went to reach for her belt, she understood why her shoulder was hurting so much. It was dislocated. Biting back the pain, she positioned herself so she had her arm between her legs, using them to hold it steady. Using her other hand she pushed her shoulder back sharply, a sickening crack emanating through the area. A whimper escaped her as she slipped into a sitting position once more, a few tears slipping down her cheeks as she took several deep breaths. Pulling a pokeball from her belt, she released Houndour from her pokeball, standing as the pokemon released an ember attack, lighting the room around her. Sniffling, she looked at the map, finding north, and started walking.

Sammy continued to walk through the cave, sighing. She wanted to die, and she figured this was gonna be how. Soon, though, a giant bat (Golbat, to be exact) swooped infront of her, trying to get her pokeballs. “No! Go, Blitzen!” Sammy called, releasing her little fire-type. The Golbat swooped down and bit Blitzen’s arm, causing him to flail around a bit. Blitzen then used Ember, sending the sparks up at the bat. Golbat began to fall down to the Earth, but soon regained itself. This time, it used Leech life, sucking away at Blitzen’s energy like a vampire. “Flame Wheel!” Sammy called, trying to save her pokemon. Blitzen did so, the flames surrounding Golbat. It was beginning to get tired! The giant bat swooped down and bit Blitzen again, but he quickly reached up and used Swift. The little stars beat at the bats wings, and it went flying away, defeated. “Good… Job…” Sammy groaned out the praise, returning her pokemon.


She listened to what Mr. Ginji had said, nodding to herself. "Okay, I'll go for it," she coughed, trying to sound fine. She turned to the right, beginning to walk down the passageway. "It stinks down here..." She muttered, wrinkling her nose.

Jack moaned again and heard a sharp huff. "Oh crap..." He muttered. Two Machoke's walked up to where he was. all right body wake up...GET UP! Jack's mind shouted, to no avail.

Houndour walked ahead of her, periodically lighting the passageway with an ember attack so she didn't fall into anymore surprises. However, as her pokemon lit the area ahead of her, a Golbat let out a shriek as it swooped down towards her, Houndour barely managing to roll to the side to avoid the attack. Thinking quickly, she pulled Persian's pokeball from her belt, releasing the pokemon into the tunnel as Houndour lights the tunnel with another, sustained ember attack.

"Persian, slash attack," she called out, as the wild pokemon makes an angered attempt at a second wing attack. As soon as the wild pokemon gets close enough, Persian let out a well timed slash with her claws, striking the pokemon across the face. The Golbat regains balance after flapping its wings a few times, sending a gust of wind slicing through the air in a powerful air cutter attack. Persian slips back, digging her claws into the ground to keep from falling over. She was about to lunge forwards in another attack, when suddenly a loud noise emanated through the cave, a large boulder to the side started to move, arms, legs and a head coming into view. Golbat saw the pokemon, glared at Persian, and then turned tail, disappearing into the darkness.

Golem rounded on her, letting out a rather angry cry, Persian looking back to Adie with a 'yea right' expression. Returning the normal pokemon to her pokeball, Adie called out Wartortle, hoping that her pokemon's speed would help her win against the brute strength of the pokemon before her. The wild pokemon suddenly curled into a ball rolling across the ground with incredible speed in a tackle attack.

"Wartortle, Hydro Pump," she practically screamed out, her turtle pokemon jumping into the air, missing the tackle attack, withdrawing into his shell and releasing a powerful stream of water towards the golem as it passed under her. Apparently, this was all it took, as the pokemon was sent backwards into the wall of the cave. Before the pokemon had a chance to fully recover, Adie withdrew an empty pokeball from her bag, throwing it at the wild pokemon as he tried to get up once more.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Adie returned her pokemon, except Houndour, to their pokeballs, picking up the new Golem and clipping him to her belt before she continued on through the tunnel. She made sure to stay close to Houndour, who lit the cave before her feet as they kept moving north. Hopefully Sammy was able to find Jack...he might have a mouth, but he was a team mate after all...

Sammy, deciding it was best if they didn't have to fight the Machokes, got on her knees and pulled Jack onto her back. "Hang on!" She said, standing up. The extra weight caused even more blood to gush from her ribs. She grimaced, beginning to run at full-speed through the tunnels, and past the pokemon. Within a moment or two, they came to the spot where the cave opened into the light. She was having a bit of trouble keeping Jack steady on her back, but she didn't want to accidently hurt him by setting him down too hard. "Now that THAT's over..." Sammy sighed with relief, yet still moaning.
