Atem still looked surprised, and his hands went limp in Nanu's grasp. Slowly, he gripped her hands back, looking upset still, but more passive. "I... It's your choice, of course. If you really want to try, I guess I can't stop you." He pulled his hands away, setting them on his lap and looking to the side. "I mean, I'm just pharaoh. It's not like I have a say in anything anymore." Bakura groaned again as his wound up children pounced on him. "Isn't there any way I can surrender?" He asked, either to Rei or the twins.

"Atem..you do...I'd do anything you'd tell me to...I'd do anything to make you happy" nanu said getting on her knees and loking up to him.
Rei laughed and pulled her children over so they were bouncing on her lap."there I saved you"

"You're low on food." Seto commented, coming completely out of the blue. He turned away from the window he had been looking out of, to examine the family. He had a way of easily making his presence forgotten. Bakura watched him, silent, so Seto continued, though he didn't really need to. "You should probably go get some more. Your current supply will last you maybe a day or two more." Bakura rolled his eyes, ignoring the priest until he spoke again. "It's not a big deal. Besides, that kind of thing needs to be taken care of at night. If you're really concerned about it, though, you can leave right now." He said, focusing on his kids. Seto shrugged wordlessly and continued to gaze out the window. Atem didn't look down. He couldn't. He knew that if he looked at her he might lose control of himself and cry. Pharaohs shouldn't cry. "Just go. Mahado is guarding it right now." He said curtly, trying his best to show no emotion. It wasn't as though he was mad, he was just... well, his emotions were hard to describe.

"Are you sure?" nanu asked gently taking ahold of his hands.
Soon the children calmed down. Femi crawled over and sat gently in bakuras lap. "wuv daddy wuv daddy!" she cooed looking up to bakura.

Atem, once again, pulled his hands away. They clenched into fists, and he still refused to look at Nanu. "Yes. I'm quite sure. You might want to go quickly, before some other idiot decides to try." His voice now had an icy edge, and his eyes sharpened as he focused intently on a pillar off to the side. "How many times to I have to tell you..." Bakura said, smiling, as he scooped Femi up, hugging her tightly. "Don't call me daddy. You need to address me as 'Bakura, the king of thieves'."

"Alright" Nanu said before falling silent. She knew she might die "..I...I love you...." she said before walking away.
Femi squeeked and giggled "king king!" she said giggly.

Atem turned at that, opening his mouth to speak, but Nanu was already leaving. He watched her leave, and felt a pang. He shouldn't be so cold, but... He had to brace himself in case it went wrong. So far, nobody had lasted five hours with it in. They either succumbed to the mental pain, or bled to death. Tears pooled in his eyes, and he prayed that the same wouldn't happen to Nanu. "I love you too..." He whispered, even though she was already gone.

Nanu had soon made her way to mahado "hello" she said letting out a small sigh.

Bakura laughed, bouncing Femi a little. "That's right. And your mama is a queen." He looked up and smiled at Rei. Mahado, who was in the library as usual, looked up from an ancient-looking tome in some strange script. "Hello, Nanu. Is Atem okay?" He was worried about his pharaoh, his friend, especially since Seto left. Things were incredibly tense. If Mahado had better control over his Millennium Ring, he was sure that he could track Seto down. As it was, he had no idea how to use that ability yet.

"keen keen!" femi said not being able to say queen yet. Kek giggled and poked his mother.
Nanu had spoke to mahado before about her idea. he was the one who said to talk with atem "Im worrying about himm..." nanu said looking away "he said to do it..."

Mahado nodded gravely. "Now... are you absolutely sure you want to do this? You've seen what it's done to other people. If it works for you, it will greatly help Atem, of course, but if you die..." He trailed off, not wanting to think about what the pharaoh might do if Nanu died. It was a risk that needed to be taken, though. If they sat around and did nothing, the pharaoh might sink in a more and more depressed state and do something drastic. The Millennium Eye rested on the table next to the book, gleaming innocently in the sunlight. The blood of all the others had been wiped off of its surface, and for now it was just a harmless golden orb. "I need to go back to the palace." Seto said in a low voice, startling Bakura, who had momentarily forgotten about the priest. The thief turned to look at Seto, glaring slightly. Seto met his gaze, unblinking. "It's been long enough for me. I promised Ayira I would be back. I'll go to the palace, get her, and then leave. I'll be leaving the country, of course, since the pharaoh may still hold a grudge."

"Yes im sure." Nanu said. She reached up and untied the band that held her eyepatch in place "I have to do somthing to help." Trying to think positive she said "Atleast we dont have to take my eye out...."
"If you get killed its your fault" rei said.

"Heh, right." Mahado managed to smile weakly. "We won't have to worry about blood so much..." He picked up the Millennium Ring, rolling the orb in his fingers. "You just want to do it now?" Bakura was shaking his head, his eyes narrowed. "No. You aren't leaving." Bakura said simply, looking down at his daughter. There would be too much at risk if he let Seto leave. Yes, he had grown to trust the priest, in a way, but not enough to let him go. He could have been spying on them this whole time, to figure out their location and who knows what. No, it wasn't logical; if Seto really meant them harm, there were multiple opportunities he could have killed them. But Bakura was stubborn and didn't always think things through. Seto glared, growing angry. "Not unless you give me your Millennium Item, priest."

Nanu nodded "yes..." She said gripping her dress "If I die...dont tell atem...Just get rid of my body and tell him I went somewhere..."

"He won't believe that." Mahado said with a sigh, his grip on the Millennium Eye tightening. "Do you want something to bite? This might still hurt, even if... even if you aren't exactly loosing an eye." Seto looked surprised, then a bit angry. "I can't give it up. If I run into trouble at the palace, I'll need it. If a lot of guards try to attack, I'll be practically defenseless." He held his Millennium Item closer to him, defensive. He could just hold Bakura back and leave on his own, but... He would prefer it if he parted on a good note with the thief.
