"And what boat do you suggest we take? It's night, we have the little one, and, well, yeah." Asherah huffed out at Ryugi as she spun around on her heel.

Walking back, yet again to the little one, Asherah set her stuff down, and sat down beside it. Her hand reached out and lightly touched it's hand again. it felt dryish. It would need to go in the water sometime soon.

"Ryugi, you go and look for a boat. I think Little one needs to swim, he feels dry. I'll stay here." Asherah looked up at the creature and blinked gently. "Do you want to go swimming Little one?"

The creature moaned and shifted in the sand. It's body seemed to ripple at her question. But Asherah would try and ask just one more time. This time her voice was smooth and melodious, the last time she tried, it worked, perhaps it would work again.

"Do you want to go into the water Little one...."

Ryugi sighed.

Something tells me that our little friend there is hurt, and has probably lost consciousness. So, the sooner we find a boat and get him where he needs to go, the better.

If you wish, you can stay here and protect him from any harm that might befall him. I'm going to look for a boat. And I'll look all night if thats what it takes. I'm unwilling to waste any time due to my personal comfort issues when an innocent life is possibly at risk, and I'm the only one who can help him...

Ryugi turned swiftly and began to head towards a somewhat rowdy sounding tavern. It would take some measure of luck to find a boat at this time of night, but hey, sometimes luck was all you had to go on.

The metal construct did not budge, or respond. Lending more truth to Ryugi's statement. Though while the dock was full of boats, none of them belonged to either of the adventurers, and it was the middle of the night.

"What are you still standing there then? Go!"

With an abrupt sweeping gesture with her hand, she sighed and stayed with the creature. Asherah sat next to it, making sure nothing touched it, and if day break came, nothing would see it. She had her tricks. A little pocket ace to throw.

"Good luck Ryugi! Don't do anything I WOULDN'T DO." She called out, followed with a snicker.

Ryugi nodded and headed towards the tavern. Perhaps one of those inside had access to a boat that they'd be willing to grant passage to Guldor on.

Now in the Tavern their was short man with a long wild brown hair and piercing brown eyes that looked like they had experieced countless battles. He was coved in a dirt brown waterproof cloak to protect to him if rained. He seemed to short for a guy his age, so he probably going to be mistaken for human. This man was talking into somekind of communication device that he wouldn't let anyone else see. He was mostly whispering what he was saying and the only thing one could her was the word captian which was repeatedly being mentioned in an usually loud voice for someone his size who was trying to keep quiet.

It didn't take very long for Ryugi to reach the tavern. He was sure Asherah would be fine and do a good job looking after the creature. Besides, he'd probably do better getting a ride on his own. At least this way one of them could keep watch while the other searched. Upon reaching the tavern, Ryugi entered the establishment and began to look around among the tavern's patrons for someone who looked as if they might have a boat, and would be willing to grant him, Asherah, and their cargo passage to Guldor.

"Yes, Captian I'll find people looking for transportation and offer them free service." Terran said just as Ryugi walked into the tavern.

Wow. What luck.

Excuse me, Sir. But me, a friend, and some cargo are in need of passage to Guldor. Could you possibly be willing to offer us transportation there?

He awaited the man's reply.

He awaited the man's reply.

"Sure we have plently of room on a vessel as large as this one and we were going to head back to Guldor if no one needed our help anyways. Do any of you have any special needs?" Teran replied while looking up to Ryugi. Now just a few months ago Terran wouldn't be old enough to go into a tavern, but Terran was stuck ina temporal phenomena that rapidly decelerated the process of time and when he had gotten back he found himself three years older then three months. During all of this time he had been spending most of his time training, so he wasn't exactly afraid of the ship being stolen by Ryugi and his companions.

Ryugi thought for a moment. This trip seemed too easily given, and the young man in front of him seemed too eager to give Ryugi what he wanted. It was late. There were many rowdy drunks in the tavern, and all of a sudden, this place didn't seem like the best area to gather a ride.

Actually, on second thought, I appreciate your kind offer, but I must decline...

Ryugi then bowed out of the conversation and headed out of the establishment to meet up with Asherah once more. Perhaps instead of trying to find a boat first, they should look for a place to hide the creature from view. Afterall, most people wouldn't exactly give a ride to a couple strangers and a creature believed to be a monster...

Terran ran out amazing fast for a guy his size, but then again he was pretty musclar.
"I assure you I am not tricking you and if you really don't want to trust me. I would like to know if there is anythinng else I can do to help you, and before you say know do you really have any other choice? I see this creature and I am pretty sure you are try to hide it because your actions give that away, and I can relate so many of my friends have been mistaken for monsters. The pain they went through while something I can never fully understand it is something I am always sympathetic for."

I don't know what you're talking about. I know of no monster in this area. As I said, thank you for your offer, but no thanks. Goodbye.

Ryugi once more left the man where he stood. It was clear that he had no intention of taking this man's assistance, whatever it may be. The man would be better off returning to the tavern and having a drink.

Maximos made his way down the twilight avenue. The bright lights and bustling crowds of Latent proper were not his friends this day. The sun had already begun to set on the horizon and a small blue card flitted within the fingers of his left hand.

Here the artisans and simpler folk played. Houses were no longer cinder blocks and dry wall but instead were of older, more fragile construction. Wood, downed palm leaves and the like were the order of the day. People lived simpler lives, and yet in many ways they were richer. The air was almost constantly full of warm smooth melodies of the folk, and the sea, they drew one in with a celtic beauty and then locked them in a chorus of auditory rapture.

If he had the time, Maximos would have been perfectly content to sit on the beach, and watch the day soar by while his spirit road the warm vocals. It was very tempting...but he couldnt do it. Not today...today he had a more important things to do.

Like stare at the horizon where the sun exploded in a mass of color over the ocean in a beautiful mass of colors. It had been two days since Durem, and he sincerely hoped the locals hadnt lied about how this all worked. He spun the blue card around between his index and thumb, before stopping with a gentle squeeze and holding it up to the horizon while his right hand held his shoes and his feet just barely touched the water. The card simply read...

"Looking for a new horizon?

--

Show me your old."

He was very delicate of course, but Maximos tried his best to lay the dotted line right on the visible horizon. He could hear the shopkeepers voice echo in his mind as he walked away with pound of beef he would never eat.

It has to be perfect!

And apparently it was! Just as Maximos' hand steadied word washed into view, literally, as the tide rolled in on the shore below, the words were exposed as if buried beneath the sand reading...

"You've read your card...now follow the sign's and let me read you mine!"

Follow the...

He started to say to himself as he lowered the card, only to find his answer literally washed up into his feet, knocking against his toes with a soft wooden tap. His eyes dropped to see a half eaten, half warn sign just being carried away by the tide. "-udo's Crab Shack", with an almost too obvious sign to the left. His eyes traced the diection and saw a child by another child running by his shadow's line of sight, while he reached for his friend, utterly failing to tag him. As he pushed his sandy body out of the sand he pointed and shouted something about "getting him next time". But by the moment he pointed Maximos' eyes were on his friend. He picked up his pace, feeling the sand squish between his toes and the salty air bit his nose. He followed the escaping child, past the main market, across the town, past buildings and carts, escaping just barely with near several near hits, and letting out a trail of "I'm sorry!"s and "Excuse me!"'s while the boy surfed the crowd without a single thing interrupting him.

And then his luck ran out, just far enough for Maximos to see without hearing, a perfect range, the boy bumped into someone...a woman by her figure. Her form entirely covered in a myriad of shades of airey blue. She knelt down and gave the boy a few kind word's before turning and meeting Maximos' eyes dead on...her eyes an impossibly light sky blue. Stunning him for a moment, as she stood and entered a tent.

Only someone with an open enough mind could have strung all those things together as something noticeable. Even still, it surprised him that all those things would just happen so suddenly. He had to take a moment of hesitation, a moment to pause and think things over. Was that real? Could she really be the one? Or did this town as a whole work together to make this elaborate scene like a single large dance?

The answers were behind a thin blue curtain, on a tent like any other. He scratched his left foot, with his right...and then parted the curtain.

"Fine whatever you want mabe will be in Guldor." He replied whiling up at the sky which was darkening as a Gigantic Metalic Ice Blue Battle Cruiser appeared above them. This was the U.A.S Kutamo.
