Sonyo made her way in to the academy and quickly walked to the Ninjutsu section of the library in the academy. She scanned the scrolls for a little while before she finally found what she was looking for; Kaifu. Kaifu was sometimes better known by a more generalized name which was Kuchyoise, or the Summoning techniques. Inside this scroll would sit the jutsu Bast sent her out to learn, along with a few others she needed to knock out of the way while she was at it. She took the scroll and a few practice pieces of Kaifu paper and made her way over to a table so that she could practice in peace.
Kaifu was something completely new to her; Kaifu was like Fuinjutsu in the fact that it wasn't like normal ninjutsu. Kaifu and the other kuchyoise techniques used jutsu by creating seals; each technique had a different seal and the seals themselves were important to the overall structure and integrity of the Kaifu. Wiping off even a small smudge of the seals could cause the jutsu to not work, or worse. She read the scroll on what she was doing and carefully drew out a seal, practicing it over and over again to make sure that she memorized it. Then when she was sure that she had it memorized, she made a single handseal and a puff off smoke and then nothing appearing is what let her know that she did it right; nothing appeared because nothing was in the seal.
She then turned to the next scroll, which did have a singular kunai in it and tried summoning that out of the seal. She moved from scroll to scroll which each successful summon, moving to bigger and harder things to summon. She was learning, very slowly, how to increase the power and the rank of the jutsu; allowing her to summon things that wouldn't have been able to be summoned with a normal E-rank jutsu. She stopped for a moment and looked at her handywork, having summoned an entire table from the scroll; training complete.

The next jutsu, and the next scroll, was Funyu, or the enclosing technique. This technique would be the closest she would be able to get to fuinjutsu in till jounin ranking, when her body would be able to handle the chakra and concentration it took for such complicated techniques. She looked at the scroll that contained the smallest bit of items and made the necessary hand seals, and she was pleasantly surprised when the tiny senbon went back in to the scroll. She tried sealing an item in to another scroll and seal that could fit a small item, then moved on when she was sure that she could do this consistently.
Just like before with Kaifu, she began testing Funyu at different strengths. She would begin to slowly seal all the items she had once summoned out of their scrolls, starting from the smallest and slowly working her way up. Putting the items back in to their seals was the trickier than unsealing, at least to sonyo. It was easier to take than to give, just like it was in real life. It was easier to be selfish than to be generous and selfless. Sonyo didn't rest in till the table she had unsealed with a B-rank Kaifu was back in it's scroll, meaning she had learned to seal B-rank items in a scroll. She wiped her brow, then moved on.

The next was the most commonly used jutsu, and the last jutsu she would learn for the moment before returning to Bast to make her trip to Takumi. She studied the scroll on Kuchiyose dillegently, taking everything she could remember to memory. She even took the time to remember the slight differences between the human and animal summoning seals to better be able to use them in the future. Once she was sure she had the jutsu itself down, and knew how to write each of the seals, she got up and put the scrolls away. She was done, and now could return to bast.

Lucas awoke from his long nap to find that everyone he'd been hanging out with had already left. Deciding to go look for soemthing to do, Lucas went off to find people he knew.

Deciding to start off with some Raiton jutsu, Theodin set his scroll aside after picking a few that he liked. Standing in his training room, Theo started through the handsigns before he suddenly converted into a bolt of black lightning and went racing around the room, bouncing off walls left and right as he learned to redirect himself in that form by ricocheting off things. Finally he got himself going towards a training dummy, striking it in a flash and appearing behind it, slightly dizzy from bouncing around, ‘I’ll have to get used to that…’ he thought to himself. Next, Theodin stood concentrating his chakra around his hands, causing them to give off a slight electrical glow. Once he had a consistent chakra flow, Theo drew out a spherical shield around himself, creating a large shield in front of him. Theo thought about how this defense could work, feeling slightly annoyed that it was a totally committed defense, he couldn’t perform handsigns and so would be unable to counterattack. (1/1)
The next jutsu was an interrogation technique, so Theodin created a shadow clone quickly before starting the handsigns. As he went through them, he thought of a string of raiton chakra shooting from his brain to the clone’s. Once he felt the connection made, Theo saw that he could pull whatever information he needed from it. (1/1)
Coursing his chakra through him, Theodin started forming it into his hand until it started taking a physical form. After a few seconds, the jounin pulsed energy through the chakra he had gathered and watched as it launched from his hand to take the shape of a wolf. As the wolf started roaming from him, Theo noticed the string of chakra connecting it to his hand. He pushed it out as far as he could, but quickly found that it couldn’t go farther than about ten meters from him. Turning the chakra wolf at his clone, Theo had it jump and attack the clone to dispel it before he finally released the chakra wolf. (1/1)
The next jutsu was effectively a powered up version of the chidori he learned a long time ago. Starting off by concentrating his chakra into his right hand, Theo focused more and more into his palm as he watched the chakra spill over and surround his hand and forearm before he burst forward at a spring towards the nearest training dummy. Just as he made contact with the dummy, Theo thrust his arm forward, letting his chakra explode forward with the strike, blowing a huge hole in the stomach of the dummy. (1/1)
The next jutsu was a very low-key one, letting him reset and slow down an enemy’s heartbeat so that they’d eventually drop dead from lack of adequate bloodflow. Theo would concentrate and focus his chakra into his hand, feeling the lightning crackle across his palm and between his fingers. Chuckling slightly, Theo thought about how cruel it would be to use this in combat, but wasn’t worried about it as he let the chakra dissipate and headed outside to work on the last two jutsu. (1/1)
Standing in the courtyard of the Academy, Theodin focused his chakra and started performing a long series of handsigns as he thought about what the jutsu would do. As he performed the seals, the sky above him started to open up, revealing a large sphere of raiton chakra as it began descending towards the ground. As it made impact with the ground, Theo watched as every dummy within a ninety foot radius was shocked by powerful lightning bolts. (1/1)
For the las jutsu he wanted to learn, Theo created a cover of storm clouds as he started performing a few handsigns. Raising his arm towards the sky, Theo released a beam of raiton chakra into the air and watched as the clouds got darker and darker, listening to the thunder crackle louder. After about a minute, a huge form of lighting… real lightning… charged from the clouds and headed for a group of dummies, obliterating them in a single attack. (1/1)

Taking a slight break from his training, Theodin was sitting down, thinking about all the things he’d seen in his years so far as a shinobi of the sand. His mind then drifted to the time they were attacked by the bijuu, the seven-tailed kabutomushi, Choumei. Luckily, Masahiro had been able to seal the thing back then.. but what if something like that happened again? Masahiro was in konoha now as hokage, and as far as Theo knew, no one else in the village knew the bijuu seals. Theodin hopped up and went to check through some scrolls before finding the ones for bijuu sealing and adjusting seals. (1/2)
Finding the first, Theo opened the scroll ad started reading through it. Whistling quickly, this was a complex seal, requiring a LOT of chakra to pull off, but it was a valuable tool to have in his arsenal. Theo pulled out one of his scroll and a pen and started to draw the formula, in a slightly smaller scaleso that he could practice with it. Once he had drawn what he saw, the jounin compared it to whathe saw in the scroll, looking over every small detail since there was almost literally no margin for error here. Satisfied he had it, Theo rolled the scroll back up and grabbed another that seemed useful. (2/2)
Hakke no Fuujin Shiki Learned
Grabbing another scroll for a method to apply and adjust the seal he had just worked on, Theodin started reading the new scroll. It was another formula he would have to weave into the first one during the sealing ritual, and it also consumed a large amount of chakra. He started off by working with this seal alone, drawing it on a spare space in his scroll, he’d find a way to erase it later. Once he felt like he had that part of the overall seal down, the jounin started thinking of the way to weave it into the previous seal. (1/2)
Putting his scrolls away, Theo used the floor this time to draw out the extremely complex combined sealing formula. This way, he could blow the thing up to a larger scale the first time to be able to see every intricacy there was. Once he was satisfied that he had the idea down at the large scle, Theo started redrawing the fused formula smaller and smaller until he was down to one that would fit on a person pretty easily. Sighing, Theo was happy with himself for being able to figure out the seal combination. He hoped he didn’t have to use those jutsu, both because of the destruction bijuu caused and the massive toll the whole ritual would put on him, since it would basically take him out of battle until he could recover his chakra. At least, Theodin thought, he could do something if the need were to arise. (2/2)

Reading more on bijuu seals, Theo realized that the seals he had just learned would only really work on about half of the bijuu out there, he needed a way to adjust the prongs of the seal to be able to trap even numbered tailed beasts. After a few minutes of searching, Theo found a technique that would allow him to do just that. As he read through it, he grabbed his pen again and walked over to where he had last drawn the sealing formulae and looked over it. Rereading how to adjust the seal, Theo leaned down and started adding a prong to it. Once he was done, he smiled slightly, now he felt like he’d have a shot at taking on a bijuu and sealing it away if he really needed to. (1/1)

The soft sound of bells announced her approach as Aika was returning to active duty. She opened the doors in the academy and smiled, inhaling the scent of paper and...well dust collecting on some of the older tomes. Nonetheless it was something she missed! She pranced through the room a happy girl, always smiling and snagging a few things here and there to put into her carry pouch to learn in a little while. She then saw her favorite beanbag chain in the corner of the room and flopped on it staring up at the ceiling for a brief moment. She looked like a silly little girl doing all this but the reality of her moment was that she was ecstatic to be out of the house. Dealing with sick family is terrible and she was tired of being cooped up. Time to live her life once more.

As Theodin was finishing his training, he heard a sound in the distance, coming form down the hall. It was familiar, but he couldn’t quite place it off the top of his head. Putting his goggles down over his eyes and his breath mask on, Theo raised his cowl and grabbed his staff, wanting to be ready to fight just in case. Leaving the room he had been training in, the jounin followed the sound of what seemed to be bells. ‘Bells…. Why do I remember bells..’ he thought to himself as he searched for the source. Finally spotting a girl in a room as she landed into a bean bag chair, he heard the jingling of bells when she sat. Entering the rom, Theo looked at her, then his memory clicked… “Aika? ..” His voice would be distorted, sounding kind of mechanical due to his breath mask. Theo would approach his old squadmate, forgetting all his gear hiding his face and distorting his voice, causing the girl to simply see a fairly large man in a robe and cowl approach her, staff in hand. “It’s been a long time, how’ve you been?”

Aika looked up at the voice. It was very familiar but all she saw was a looming figure, moving up to her. She tilted her head and tried to place the voice. "Ohhhh hey you old....so and so. Its so good to see...you again" she said trying to play off her ignorance. She got to her feet just in case. She was still a dancer and did have stalkers from time to time. "Its been a long time. orrr has it?" She said trying to be friendly but her voice wavering.

Watching Aika’s reaction, Theo raised an eyebrow under his cowl, did she not remember him? It was then that he realized he still had all his combat hear on his head and that his face was hidden, his voice distorted. “Oh.. damn, whoops,..” he said through his breath mask as he pushed his cowl back off his head, pulling his shoulder length white hair free, then removed his breath mask and goggles. “Sorry, forgot I had all that on, It’s me, Theodin” his voice was back to sounding normal without the mechanical distortion and the rest of his face was in clear view. A slightly nervous half smile on his face, the bigger man shrugged, “Sorry if I scared you there…”

As some of the nin were talking away a rumble could be felt slowly growing in intensity. The walls of the academy would shake and the rocks on the ground bounced as something large tried to make it's way out of whatever it was in. A blood curdling scream was soon heard as Chomei broke through the seal on his host. Kohaku's lifeless body lay at the tailed beasts feet at he towered over the village. He yowled as if somewhat in pain, but then went silent. His breathing was quick and he sounded forced. He felt wrong. The villagers ran screaming from his direction grabbing who and what they could, some getting ran over in the process. If they weren't directed some were going to be trampled. In the alleyways a short way off a small giggle was given.

Theo shook his head quickly to shake out the high pitched squeal from Aika, laughing, when suddenly there was a loud scream and the ground shook. Catching his balance, Theo looked around quickly, “s**t… I’ve heard that scream before….man I hope it isn’t what I think it is…” Theo would look out the window of the Academy and see people running frantically through the streets, panicking. Following the line from their origin, Theo saw what he had dreaded: the Shichibii, Choumei, was free again.
The man’s face quickly turned as reflective as the ice he controlled, storm clouds rolling in the backs of his eyes. Turning back to Aika, he’d speak quickly, his normal joking tone gone, “Looks like Saraswasti round two, I need you to get as many of these people to safety, the hospital bunker would probably be the best bet.” Theo would run out the door of the building, running and jumping up to the roof and sending a small amount of chakra to his larynx to magnify his voice “Everyone Listen up! Civilians evacuate to the hospital bunker now, genin go with them and help as much as possible! Forget about grabbing your things, possessions are nothing compared to your lives.” Theo would hop back down, rolling to dissipate his momentum from falling, then call to Aika, “Get them to safety, then come find me, we got one hell of a fight on our hands!” He’d then go jumping among the stampeding crowd, making sure as few people as possible got hurt as he made his way towards the gigantic bug looming over the village.

Bast would dart across the roofs of buildings in the area, bypassing the crowds as she headed for Choumei. It wasn't an unjustified amount of panic, that was certain. As she approached the bug, she spotted Theodin headed the same way and called out to him:
"Oi, Theodin! What happened? Did you see anything? Why is the Shichibi out? I'm going to fly up there and see if I can talk with it, but I want to know what I'm getting myself into."
