As Sami listened, driving them to the zoo with one hand on the steering wheel, she texted on her phone without even looking down.
Anthony is DA. Switching from M to P. Use to Ad.
Then she sent it and closed her phone, sliding it back into her pocket. The other two had no idea what happened, too busy talking to each other.
"Almost to the zoo, you guys!" She exclaimed cheerfully, as if she hadn't even been listening. "You guys ready?"

Sami blinked at her as if she were crazy.
"And why on earth would I rat out Anthony?" She asked her, turning back to the road and letting out a yelp, swerving to avoid a car that had hit the breaks. "******** YOU!" She roared to the driver of the vehicle, flipping him off. "YOU NEARLY KILLED ME, YOU b*****d!" Sighing, she shook her head before turning back to the road. "I have no affiliation with the Mafia, and I don't like the police. Why would I help either of them?"

Anthony was interested in what Sami wrote as well. He handed his phone to Rose. "Here. Call Beans on mine" he said.
Rose's cell phone was in possession of the mafia.

"The mafia's a nasty business," she replied. "To tell you the truth, I'm too much of a coward to make any move towards them. I don't feel safe unless I have two fully loaded guns with me at all times." She shook her head, and then gave Rose a strange look through her rear view mirror. "What on earth gave you a reason to think I wanted to rat him out in the first place?"
