Honehime remained in her position for a moment longer. She looked forward, away from Echidna, with a tense expression on her face. as Echidna showed the severity of her own injuries, a slight smile came across Honehime's face. "...but not enough, right...?" With that muttered phrase, the toll that Echidna's attack had exacted from her was made clear. Blood spilled from her mouth in a wracked cough, and she collapsed, face first into the sap, completely unconscious. Yes, between the sap armor and her own bones, it was very difficult to cut her. But a sword was not just a cutting tool, it could do other forms of damage too. Internal damage. Echidna's strike had taken a heavy toll on Honehime, it was a wonder she had remained upright as long as she had. But now, the frail little Kaguya had met her limit, she had nothing left. Laying face down in the sap, her sword slowly retracted inside of her, her bones returning to normal. (31468 words + 169 words = 31637 words) (Takin' a break.) (27363 words + 0 words = 27363 words) Katsu grinned and slowly backed up before bobbing to the surface for another breath of fresh air, before sinking back under the water. Creeping forward, she struck again, pinching at the sensitive skin along either girl's side, just above their hips. The effect on Mei was immediate. With a snort of half laughter, half shock, she thrashed once more, accomplishing little more than making waves to splash against Shuku. Katsu pulled back a little, readying her next and final attack before she would reveal herself. If they wouldn't figure out it's her with this next attack, then she would simply reveal herself. But first she wanted to let their reactions from this last pinch die down, to strike once they began to relax a little again. She was having fun, but the same mgiht not be true of the others, the victims of her teasing. (34692 words + 148 words = 34840 words) (Takin' a break.) (13937 words + 0 words = 13937 words) Menace watched Melona's reaction, and grinned slowly, enjoying her partner's irritation. She remained impassive as the slime girl bent over in front of her, making her already impressive chest even more profound a sight. Her gaze flickered down to admire those twin orbs that she had possessed only a short time ago, before returning to Melona's face. When her partner asked what exactly she had meant by her last statement, she decided to poke a little fun a her. Adopting a regal expression, she gave her reply. "Merely that in a battle of this sort, the one to lose is the one who surrenders first. And as a princess, I do not surrender. So I have already won." Of course, what she said wasn't exactly the truth, more a twisted version of it. But it was close enough that arguing the fact might be difficult. even if her partner was calm. And considering what she had just done, it was very likely the new Melona was not cool and calm at the moment. (17065 words + 177 words = 17242 words) Alice nodded at Airi's words, then regretted it. That simple bob of the head was enough to remind her of her earlier vertigo, and she had to remain still for a moment for the disorientation to stop. Once it did, she sighed and took another sip of her soup. It was good, but the problem of the sake had seemed to cast a pall over the meal, all their work had been overshadowed by her own stupid mistake. She wouldn't say she had ruined the meal, but she was thinking it. When Airi suggested they head back to their room soon, that only served to confirm her worry. So she only nodded again, ignoring the disorientation as best she could, and had a little more soup before trying to get up from the table. She had to brace herself on her chair for a moment, holding herself up with both arms, but she did manage to get upright again. She remained where she was at that point, she didn't want to tax herself too suddenly, especially if Airi needed help getting up, too. (17481 words + 186 words = 17667 words) Haku had finally made it away from the worst of the crowd, though even here, along the wall, it was still fairly crowded. People wearing costumes both familiar and new, people dressed up as friends or acquaintances paraded past, chatting with each other about everything and nothing. She leaned back against the wall, holding herself up to prevent her total collapse. There were just too many people, she didn't know what to do. So many people, so many sets of eyes that would turn to stare at her if she moved. So many voices that would rise up to mock her if she spoke. Even though it was only because of her own fear, she was trapped. She shivered with barely withheld panic, and gave in. Pulling out her bottle of sake, she took a long swig from the battle. If she was going to be trapped and miserable, she needed at least this much to avoid losing all trace of composure. Hopefully her friends would understand. If she ever saw them again. (12770 words + 174 words = 12944 words) Pan had reacted more or less as V-13 might have expected, with a knowledgeable nod of the head. That in itself didn't prove the superior officers had their games, but it didn't disprove it, either. Maintaining that same air of the unknown that had persisted for so long already, as it should be. If the regular soldiers were to learn of those games, then it could potentially cause some problems in the future. Likely nothing truly dangerous, but all problems were best avoided if possible. When Pan asked her if Kriegfuhren was staying in this facility, she had to think about it. That was a difficult question to fully answer. Instead, she would have to do the best she could. "I don't know, sir. Nobody has seen Kriegfuhren since the incident, and there is enough traffic in this facility that she likely would have been seen by now. So it is likely she is in another area, though there is no proof one way or another, sir." And it was true. As far as the records go, Kriegfuhren didn't seem to exist for the moment, neither had any of the regular soldiers seen her since that incident. She could still be there, ensconced in a deep part of the workshop, but if so, then the regular soldiers would never know. None of them had the right to just go exploring into those sensitive areas of the facility. Kriegfuhren was still on the list of personnel, though, so she was almost certainly still alive. Anything beyond that was merely rumor and opinion. (17069 words + 266 words = 17335 words) (Takin' a break.) (8089 words + 0 words = 8089 words) As she felt the wind whip at her flailing body, an interesting thing happened to Dizzy. Even though she was sure that she was plummeting to her death, her terror gave way to peace. Was this the calmness before death? Everything seemed to move to a crawl, even her plunge seemed to change into a gentle descent. She looked down at the ground, and saw Shouko reacting, trying to enlarge herself once again, to act as a cushion for her to land on, to hopefully avoid major injury. She smiled slightly, glad that she had made such a true friend so easily. When she had first moved out here into the wilds, she hadn't expected to ever even meet another person again, let alone make friends with one. But plans had a habit of changing, didn't they? She was enjoying her time spent with Shouko, and didn't want it to end so soon. That meant she had to live! Even with the wind pulling at her, she was able to straighten up, and begin furiously flapping her wings. They weren't enough to let her fly, but they could let her glide. And in a situation like this, they could slow her descent. (8812 words + 206 words = 9018 words)

Miku pouted and let go of Neru's sleeve before looking down sadly. "Poor Haku Onee-chan. She must be really scared with you not around. After all, I've always seen her with you for as long as I can remember, Neru Onee-chan..." She looked up to Neru with a single tear in the corner of her eye and a determined look. "We have to rescue Haku Onee-chan, no matter what! After all, we can't just abandon one of the clan for our own needs or wants. We have to stick together!" For Neru, a simple translation would probably pop into her head from the speech Miku gave: No Haku equals no comfy bed for you. Sure, Neru probably wouldn't want to ditch Haku with all these odd strangers just for a nap, but even if she wanted to she would most liely go look for Haku first any ways.(( +148))

Doragon [Tetsu], Kane As soon as Su hugged Kane a shiver rocked up his spine from the awkwardness of it. He hadn't quite expected to be hugged. And he hadn't quite expected to like the hug. Kane knew what a hug was but never had one by his knowledge. So his reaction to it was a bit off. But he was glad she had hugged him and that she was excited. And he felt a warmth when Su smiled her true smile. "Let's go then. First we'll go to your meadow. I wish to see it. After that we can head to Spain. Would you care to lead the way?" Kane seemed to have a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth but he refused to smile. Kane's nature didn't include smiling so he fought the smile the best he could. Words = ?

Quote: Kurinai-Sensei ((You must rp out your teacher, if someone is with Umino Iruka, then you must rp out a made up one.)) Basic Techniques Henge no Jutsu: 300 Skill Points This technique allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.Bushin no Jutsu: 300 Skill Points This technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the clone gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse. Art of Substitution: 400 Skill Points This is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. Tree Climbing: 600 Skill Points The Tree Climbing technique serves a dual purpose. The first is that it helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. The second is that it teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. Water Walking: 600 Skill Points A variation on the Tree Climbing Technique, Water Walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water. Extra Training (( These techniques will not be added to your technique list, but you still can earn the chakra points to increase your character's strength. )) Chakra Molding: 500 Skill PointsLeaf Concentration: 500 Skill PointsShuriken/ Kunai Target Practice: 200 Skill PointsWeight Lifting: 300 Skill PointsWeight Running: 300 Skill PointsDummy Fighting: 200 Skill PointsSparing: 300 Skill PointsMeditating: 300 Skill Points

(( i dun know if Iruka is taken or not... but to be sure, i'll use someone else. ))
"We'll be working on the tree climbing excorsize. are you paying attention, Koumuru?" Kurinai-Sensei said.
Koumuru Sou nodded. he didn't talk much, and he was eager to learn.
Kurinai nodded. "good. first, you need to learn to focus your chakra. demonstrate what you can do by focusing your chakra through this chakra slip." she said, handing him the square paper.
Koumuru looked at the paper for a few moments, remembering what he had been told a while back. 'it will cut for wind-natured, ignite for fire-nature, soak for water-nature, turn to dirt for earth nature, or crumple for lightning-nature.' he tried to move his chakra to his hand, then through to the paper. he forced the chakra through his arm, then to his hand. it sat there for a few moments before jumping onto the paper, making it split in half. just like the first time... he thought. well, at least it fits with my weapon.
kurinai nodded, pleased. "very well. now, you need to learn to consentrate it to your feet. example." she walked over to the tree and waited for a few seconds, then started to walk up it. she reached the point where branches started to extend out of it. "now you try."
Koumuru nodded, eager to acomplish it. he walked over to the tree, used the sheep hand symbol to consentrate his chakra. it moved through his legs to his feet, but it flutuated greatly. not good... Koumuru thought, trying to keep it under control. he waited several minutes to get it to stop fluctuating, but only partially succeded. he gave up, placed his first foot on the tree, then started climbing it. on the second step, the bark crumpled, and Koumuru had to leep off.
Kurinai shook her head. "too much fluctuation. try consentrating on letting little bits of chakra enter at a smooth pace. don't let it just charge to your foot."
Koumuru nodded. alright... he thought, returning to the sheep hand sign. he moved his chakra as steadily as he could to his feet. it ran smoother, instead of bundling up then forcing its way through. he waited until a small mass of chakra was in his foot, then he moved onto the tree. he was able to get up to five steps, then he fell off, landing on his feet.
Kurinai nodded back and forth. "well, that's better, but you need to consentrate on letting the chakra even itself out on the soals of your feet."
Koumuru, once again, nodded. he returned to the same stance, letting the chakra move into his feet. he could feel it greater at some points of his soals, and weeker in other parts. he did his best to move it around to make it all equal. it wasn't as good as he wanted it, but it was definately an improvement. the chakra seemed to be more willing than the other tries. he stepped onto the tree, and it seemed gravity had changed only on his feet. he was able to walk almost freely on the tree. "this is great!" he said, but he wasn't able to get up to Kurinai's heigth. his center of gravity started to pull him down the further he walked up the tree. he was able to go to 15 feet, then he fell back down.
"alright, keep practicing. you'll get it soon."

Koumuru landed on his feet again. he was good at that. he walked over to the tree he had walked up. he looked at it for a few seconds before going back to the sheep sign to consentrate. before he starts, he looks at the sign. he shook his head slightly and changed it to dragon. he consentrated his chakra again. he found that it reacted slightly differently to this symbol. he moved it over to his feet again, this time leveling it as it flooded in. within a few minutes, he had a sufficient amount of chakra, and it was completely leveled. he released the sign, then started climbing the tree again. his center of gravity didn't pull him down until he reached 30 feet. he dropped down to his feet yet again. good. dragon doubles my heigth. He formulated a new plan. this time, he would try to reconsentrate the chakra just before he reached the maximum hight point. he moved his hands to dragon again, and consentrated the chakra to his feet. again, he started to climb, but this time, he left his hands in the dragon form. when he counted 28 feet, and his balance started to change, he started to consentrate again. he could feel the chakra had actually thinned on the way up. he reenforced it and started walking again. and with just a few days of more practice, i won't even have to do this. he thought with a half-smile

Koumuru looked at a targeted dummy in front of him, a good 25 yards out. he held a kunai's tip in one hand and a shurikin in the other. with a good arm, he threw the kunai from the side. it spun as it flew, hitting the target at the 20/100. within the same throw, he tossed the shurikin from the other hand, like a frisbie. it landed right next to the kunai, on the 20. after a little thought about how they landed, he pulled out another, same grips. he tossed the kunai alittle higher, and the shurikin straight ahead. they both landed on the 40, but on opposite sides of the board. he shook his head and changed his grip on the kunai to a normal style, holding the handle parrallel to the direction his fingers went. he threw it alone, and it hit the target, nearly centered. 100, but not exact. he took the shurikin and gave it another lob, landing just under the 100, in the 50. he nodded, more power. he whipped out another one, and in one fell swoop, launched it at the board, almost full power. it zipped through the air, whistling slightly, and tinged off the back of the kunai. perfect.

"I think it's best if we start out with the substitution jutsu first, Hayate."Asuma spoke while smoking his ciggarette."First you'll need to find what you're going to substitute your body for."He continued and walked to a pile of logs."One of these would work perfectly."He spoke with a slight smile and set the log halfway inbetween the both of us."You need to be fast on your feet and you need just a little chakra."He explained and then performed the substitution jutsu."Just like that you see."He spoke putting the log back inbetween us."You try now."He told Hayate.
Hayate hesitated for a couple of seconds, thinking about how he might mess up in front of his teacher and how it would be very embarrassing. He gulped down his fears and spoke."Alright."He said as he stared forward and began to concentrate his chakra. As he was concentrating the noises around him began to fade from his ears, the birds chirps slowely faded into nothing, the rustling of the trees and the brushing of the grass were gone, he remained devoted to concentrating on his chakra. He could feel it build itself up inside him, the energy flowing through his body. He kept in mind that he only needed a little bit of chakra but he couldn't help but focus more. After a couple of seconds he finally started to focus a little bit of chakra, gaining somewhat of a tiny bit of control on it. He took a couple of deep breaths and opened his eyes. Dead ahead of him was his target, laying on the ground being whipped by the grass as the warm wind blew through the trees. In no more than what had to have been a second, Hayate was where the log used to be and where he used to be was a cloud of smoke and when it cleared away, there on the ground, lay the log."I did it!!"He shouted happily to Asuma.
"Good, good."Asuma spoke, nodding his head in approval."But that is one of the most basic ninja techniques there is, which means, it only gets harder from here on out."He spoke lighting up a second ciggarette."Even so, you're doing pretty good and you're on the right track."He spoke looking up towards the sky to see a flock of birds flying in the direction the wind was blowing.
I looked up towards the sky also and smiled as I saw the birds fly over some tree tops. Shikaharu walked slowly to the class, but he was already late, so what's the rush? Then he remembered that his new sensei was coming today, but this didn't prompt him to move any faster. It just made him smile knowing he would have a cool adult for a sensei. "I wonder if this guy will be like Kakashi Hatake? He trained Naruto, maybe I can be like ... nah it's too troublesome to be like Naruto. He always get ambushed and fights constantly. Maybe I shouldn't have come here today, aww what a drag."
He began to slouch, slipping his hands in his pockets; He remembered that he didn't know what classroom he was supposed to report to. "Geez, this is not cool, I need to find that room number or I'm doomed. Wait, maybe the teacher will come looking for me. I guess it was no need to get bent out of shape over nothing." He didn't pick up the pace for a second, then he found a sheet of paper tacked to a bulletin board in the hallway with a list of names on which room they were supposed to go be in. "Well so much for my theory about the teacher finding me on their own."
He sighed and turned around the corner once he reached the end of the hall and saw a room with the door ajar. "Well I guess this is the moment of truth, hope the teacher doesn't kill me for being late." He walked in at his normal speed and when he walked in he saw no one in the room and for a brief second, he was washed over with a feeling of relief, but then a thought occurred, "Hold on, what if the teacher was waiting to ambush me?"
Initally, he knew the probability would be high for such a thing to happen and a plan was being formulate at that very moment. After about 10 seconds, the plan was complete and all the possible flaws were covered, or so he thought. A woman with long black hair with a beige robe on top of a see-through top and shorts which weren't seen, was waist-deep in the blackboard behind him and grabbed at his ponytail. He ducked and rolled away from her because the minute her head popped out of the board, he caught sight of her with his peripheral vision.
She spoke cockily and with authority to instill fear, "So you must be Shikaharu Nara, I see you have some sharp instinct about you, but that isn't enough in the ninja world. You have to be prepared for any situation that can jump out at any moment in time. Do you understand what I am saying to you? Now my name is Anko Mitarashi and you better listen to me!!!" Shikaharu nodded gravely and figured she was right about being constantly on guard, but this was just an obstacle he thought he could overcome by being a adequate ninja, no a well trained ninja. Shikaharu stared at the woman and blantantly told her, "I already know how to use substitution jutsu." Anko looked at the young ninja and scoffed at his remark, "Sure kid, I highly doubt you know how to do that. If you think you can really pull it off, then do it."

What more could Tsuni do? She mastered the tree climbing as well as the bunshin no jutsu in a matter of days. She sighed deeply. What can I do? Should I tryout another jutsu or something? Tsuni wasn't very new at this. The girl was trained in the basic jutsu when she was young, but she wasn't trained enough to learn it completely. That's why at first she can screw some of her jutsus up. Oh well. I'm doing good so far anyway. Masaki-senpa...sensei respects me anyway. Now, where is he? Still going through the village, looking for the sensei, Tsuni later ended up finding him in one of the local Konoha tea shops. Masaki spotted her right away and smiled at her warmly. "Well if it isn't Takana Tsuni!" he exclaimed. "Haven't talked to you in a while girl. What's up?"
"Nothing much actually," Tsuni replied in her timid voice,"But I was able to master the tree climbing jutsu...and I also practiced on my target practice with my shuriken and kunai. I'm fine with those two...but I think I need to train especially harder on the substitution jutsu and walking on water. Do you think you can help me with those?" She explained quietly, but clearly enough. Masaki made his happy smile like always. He was always smiling, which was kind of starting to freak Tsuni out, but hey, she had to get used to it somehow. "Sure thing Tsuni! Must be your weak points huh? Well you'll be a pro in no time!" Masaki cheerfully replied. He waved to one of the jounin he was hanging out with and they walked together to the training fields once more. Before, they went there the first time for Tsuni to practice on her tree climbing, using on her legs, and to have the perfect amount of chakra on her legs.
"Water walking will take some time, so we'll start with substituting," Masaki told Tsuni. "You'll have to this jutsu at the right time," he explained. "You must do the jutsu once you realize you're in danger or if you're about to get hit by a certain, powerful jutsu, or my multiple amounts of weapons. I'll give you a demo. Throw some kunai at me." WHAT? Throw some kunai at HIM? Well, he's showing me what the substitution is like, Tsuni thought as she slip some kunai out of her hand. She placed it behind her, then with great speed, threw it towards Masaki. Tsuni noticed the jounin making some seals. When the kunai hit him, a puff of smoke appeared. As it lifted, Tsuni saw a figure, shaped like a log in Masaki's place. He quickly replaced himself with a log before the kunai even touched him. Very nice, and quite impressive. "How'd you like that?" Tsuni heard Masaki's voice. She turned around to see him, standing on a tree branch on a tree behind her. "That's what you're going to master easily. You ready? Don't worry, I'll go easy on you."
Tsuni smiled evilly as Masaki jumped down, being across from her. "I don't think being easy will go so far for me sensei," she told him aloud. "Give me all you got as if you were fighting an actual ninja your rank." Masaki seemed quite surprised to hear this, but his eyes narrowed in a playful way. "If you say so," Masaki said, then in a flash, he was gone. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Tsuni was about to do her jutsu. The special technique, unique to her clan, the Takana clan. It felt as if everything was glowing around her, and she could pinpoint where Masaki was at. He was behind her, in a tree, 10 meters away from her to be exact. Tsuni heard the flick of the kunai wizz out of the tree, but in time, her eyes opened, and Tsuni managed to throw a kunai towards it, so the kunais hit each other and fell to the ground. She turned around quickly, going into a quick fighting stance. "It's on Masaki!" the girl shouted out.

As kamisori was walking into the academy he was walking down the hall and trying to find the room that was on the paper and see who his teaher was. aas kami was walking down the hall he noticed the door with the same numbers on it as the paper he held in his hands. kami slid the door open and walked is closeing it behind him and looking to see that now one was in there. kami was thinking to himself why there was no one in there for him to learn from. as kami turned around to walk but he bumped into Asuma sensei and looked to see he was smoking again as he katana bumped against his back. As kami backed up for a second he spoke to asuma and told him why he was here. "Well about time you got here. i'm going to learn the Bushin no justu so tell me what it is. It seemed like the fight would last for hours. Or so Tsuni thought. The spar between Masaki wasn't as easy Tsuni thought it would be. Then again, he WAS a jounin while she was just a mere ninja academy student, soon to graduate into a lowly genin. Even though he said he wasn't going to go easy on her, it felt like he actually was, just somewhat. Tsuni dodged another kunai and rolled to the ground, quickly hiding behind a tree just when another kunai was thrown. "You can't dodge forever Tsuni!" she heard Masaki yell. "You're going to have to try somehow!" "I'm aware of that," she mumbled quietly. But Tsuni felt as if she had to do it at the right time. If Masaki somehow caught her off guard. "Hey Tsuni," she heard Masaki mumble.
She gasped, and seconds later, the girl was on the ground, with blood coming out of her mouth and eyes open. Masaki shook his head. "That's what you get for not keeping your guard..." he started to say when Tsuni disappeared. In place of her was a log. "I've been keeping my guard," Tsuni yelled out, "You just didn't see it coming." Masaki turned around to the direction of Tsuni's voice. Just when he did, Tsuni gave him a kick at his chest. He flew and landed hard on the ground, back first. It almost knocked the wind out of him. Masaki rolled to his stomach, panting heavily. Tsuni jumped down and landed in front of him. She smiled and cracked her knuckles. "Alright...you won Tsuni," Masaki said, managing to smile through all the pain he was in. "Can you handle the pain?" Tsuni asked, "'Cause there is a hospital not far away from where we're at."
Helping Masaki up, Tsuni brought him to the hospital, walking slowly so he wouldn't lost his energy. He was taken care of in a matter of minutes, since he just almost lost his breath from Tsuni's powerful kick. As they walked out of the hospital together, Masaki gave Tsuni another smile. "I never realized a girl like you could have talent like that," Masaki explained. "You have talent Tsuni, and I respect that." All Tsuni could do was blush and give a small smile back at him. "Now, how do you want to start the walking through water training?" he questioned. "Or if you want, we can take a break." "Taking a break works," Tsuni replied. "But you COULD tell me more about the walking through water training." (3357 words+422 words=3779 words) [Substiution jutsu complete!]

Randal [Betori] "Ah. It's my first day at the Academy and I'm so pumped up. I wonder what this place'll have in store for me," murmurs a young boy to himself as he sits up in a barren tree. Those around there would only hear the sound of a mouse squeaking. A mouse squeaks in response within the boys jacket before popping its head out of the boys sleeve.
"Why did we have to come to a place as cold as this Randal? I'm freezing," the mouse squeaks as the boy grins and exhales held breath through his mouth.
"Ain't so bad. It's exhilarating."
"I think I got the short end of the stick. 'Stay here and you'll have to gather stuff for winter. But if you go with Randal then you won't have to.' That's exactly what your mom said. And what do I get for thinking this'd be easy? THIS!"
"Pipe down. You want people knowing that there's a mouse around? They'll up and blow a casket. There'll be traps left and right. And you know how much you love your freedom."
"I hate this place. Why couldn't you just be satisfied with being an ugly animal?"
"Because I ain't ugly. Ma said that I should anyway. You tellin me not to listen to mom? I'll tell er and she'll light into you." The mouse shivers not from the cold but the thought being retreating back into Randal's clothes.
"Just hurry up and get your fill so we can go home. I don't like the number of humans around here. Gives me goosebumps."
"Okay then," replies Randal leaping down from the tree and landing on all fours. He sits there a moment before finally standing and dusting off his clothes. Randal's attire is somewhat typical. He's got a blue jean jacket with fur around the collar covering a black v-neck t-shirt; Cheetah fur with the hair cut short and skinned real fine tied around his neck; black leather gloves with holes in the knuckles and palms; brown denim pants that are torn off just below his knees; a brown belt with a silver buckle, the village symbol of Hidden Creature as its design, wound tightly around his small waist with a raggedy edged knife shoved into it; black leather straps on the upper portion of either thigh with the symbols for a Cheetah and a Baboo on the metal portion facing out at his sides; and makeshift sandals-- made using trace pieces of wood, torn black fabric, torn pieces of cotton from his socks, red fabric, and red string. The entire outfit looked altered or homemade. Randal rustles his dirty, dark green hair as his orange, almost golden, eyes settle on one passerby after the next. He flashes each a huge grin, showing his amazingly bright white teeth. Each and every person only stared at Randal in confusion before going about their business. Randal scratches at one of the lower markings on the right side of his face before heading into the building.
"Oh my go~sh! I don't understand anything that's being said in these classes I have been instructed to go to, Til."
"Hmn? Why is that?"
"I don't speak human, don't read human, don't understand human. It's all going in one ear and out of the other. I don't get any of it!"
"Calm down." Randal and Til were again in the tree they had been in before. Now that people had seen Randal they stare at him with utter disapproval.
"And these humans don't like me. Ami was right. I don't belong here."
"Aw, forget about Ami. He just doesn't want you running off to be with humans and forgetting about him. Your typical ox. He doesn't even care that you're confused and afraid of-"
"Woh, woh! Don't go labeling me like that. I ain't scared! And I'm only a little confused."
"You do take up after your father after all."
"So what if I do! You know, tigers are the absolute best."
"Hmph. I'm just as good as any tiger. So they aren't the best."
"Tch. Whatever." Randal gazes down at the people passing by before setting his eyes on an old Inuzuka dog. "H-hey!" Randal yells as he leaps down from the tree. The dog gets into a defensive crouch in front of his master as Randal shakes his head. "I'm not trying to start anything with you. I just wanna know if you can help me out." The dog says nothing. Not a growl parts from him.
"Stop playing around kid. I have a class to teach here. You can't speak to this dog so stop mocking him, all right." Randal stares at the man in confusion as the man stares at him in frustration. The man wore the average teacher uniform but there was something odd about him. He didn't have markings on his face like many Inuzuka that Randal had been told about. Could it be that this red head wasn't the dogs true owner? Randal begins to growl at the man when the dog barks loudly once. Randal whimpers and ceases his growling.
"I... I don't understand human. Please, can't you help me?" The dog looks at Randal before huffing.
"Help you how?"
"I dunno. Can't you be like an inter-mediator?"
"That will only help you for this instant." The dog turns to the man behind it then begins to speak to its owner in a language that Randal couldn't follow. It sounded like human but it wasn't. "Yui, this boy doesn't know the first thing about the human tongue. He's asking if I can help him communicate."
"Hm? So he really is communicating with you?"
"Yes. It's a much more primitive and wild was of speaking but I can understand him."
"No wonder I couldn't understand a thing he said. All right. You can go with him and help him with his classes. After class I want you to bring him to me and I will try my best to help him learn to speak like a human. When he gets the hang of things then you no longer have to go with him to his classes." The man states as the dog sighs.
"Yes master." The dog then turns to Randal who seemed to try and mimic the movements of Yui's lips. The dog stares at him before smirking. "All right, all right. You want to be late for class? Let's go." The dog begins walking towards Randal who was frozen in surprise.
"So you're going to help me?"
"I wouldn't say let's go to you if I wasn't hurry up," concludes the dog darting off as Randal sprints off after him. Yui stares in amazement as he muses aloud.
"I can never keep up with Martha at that speed and yet this boy is keeping up with no trouble at all. Could he be the real thing? Wild Boy..." The late bell rings and Yui sighs and shoves his hands into his pockets before turning and heading into a classroom beside him. He was late.
"Let's see. How about... Randal." Randal jumps in surprise, only catching his name. Randal turns in his chair until his eyes settle on the dog beside him, its golden coat shining in the light of the sun outside the window. At the request of Randal, he and Martha took a seat beside the window and away from the majority of the classroom.
"He wants you to answer the problem on the board."
"I can't read any of that, Martha. What's it say?"
"It says, 'In a battle between two ninja: which of the following is the best counter-attack for a barrage of bushin or clones? A-"
"Art of Substitution followed by a Henge no Jutsu. You allow yourself to be completely surrounded and pounced on. Just before it happens you would substitute yourself with something nearby then transform yourself to look like one of the clones. If you do it right there's no chance for them to know which is you." Randal grins as Martha relays this information to an Inuzuka translator provided to this classroom by Yui who then relays the information to the teacher.
"Correct. I like the explanation too. Well done." Randal grins at the teacher before noticing a few people staring at him. He waves his right hand lazily which makes a few girls giggle. The others turn back around without saying or doing anything in response. Randal shrugs as he places both hands behind his head and watches the teacher speak and write. The words on the board were scrambled in Randals eyes but perfectly clear in Martha's. Randal couldn't help but to be amazed. He wondered if he'd ever be that good at speaking and reading human.
Eventually class ends and everybody gets ready to go home. As Randal stands and turns to leave the room a finger taps upon his shoulder. He freezes, surprised, before turning around to see two girls around his age smiling at him. By the markings on their faces he could tell they were Inuzuka's. Nervously he opens his mouth to speak then shuts it. He wanted to greet them but he couldn't speak even an ounce of human. "You can't speak human can you?" One girl asks as Randal looks back to Martha. The girls giggle as the girl out front steps nearer to Randal. Randal takes a step back as Martha motions to his side and sits, eyeing the girls contently.
"And I see you can't understand it either. But I don't find that weird, none of us do. In fact," the girl starts batting her eyes at Randal, "I find it kinda cute." Randal wasn't fluent in speaking human but he could tell she was flirting with him.
"Uh, uh, Martha help."
"You're on your own. My time is up."
"Wh-what? You can't just-" Randal stops yelling at Martha as he notices the girls staring at him in wonder, tiny ninja dogs making their way to their sides. "Tell em to leave me alone, will ya?" The dogs laugh at Randal who inches back again. The girls giggle before taking a step forward. As soon as their feet hit the floor Randal takes off out of the door running. Martha notices him running and chases after him. The girls groan sadly as they watch Randal go.
"Slow down... Randal. You're... running too... fast," yells Martha tiredly trying to catch up to Randal. But Randal wasn't listening. He just kept running as fast as he could. Martha stops noticing Yui exiting his classroom and pants as she walks over to him.
"Where's the boy?"
"Who? Oh Randal... he's still running. He... He..." Martha sighs, tired of trying to speak and lays down at Yui's feet. Yui stares at her before noticing Randal dart past him. He turns around to watch Randal only to see he had already run out of sight.
"Simply amazing."
After an hour and a half Randal collapses at Yui's feet from exhaustion. "So why was he running?" Yui asks Martha as he lifts Randal up and into his arms.
"Some girls were flirting with him and made him nervous. He asks me for help, I say no, and the next thing I know he's running around like a crazed idiot."
"Aw. Don't be so cruel. He is just a boy. He can't understand humans and was being flirted with by strange girls. its amazing that was all he did."
"What the heck did you expect him to do otherwise?" Martha wails as Yui chuckles.
When Randal awakens he finds himself staring up at Yui and Martha's worried faces. "What?" Asks Randal sitting up. Neither of them say anything to him nor one another. Randal just stares at each of them, one at a time. "Wh-" starts Randal when Til pops his head out of the collar of Randal's shirt. Marth barks angrily as Yui jumps to his feet. Til squeak loudly in fear as he leaps from Randal's shirt and begins scurrying about. Martha chases Til as Randal frowns. "Stop!" Martha stops as Til runs under the mat beneath Randal. "He's a friend of mines. Don't chase him."
"I hate mice," growls Martha as Randal stares down at the floor.
"Now why were you guys just staring down at me like that?" Randal was mainly talking to Martha.
"You were... acting strangely as you slept."
"Like?"
"You were growling and cringing."
"...Sounds like me," replies Randal solemnly as the mouse squeaks sadly. For a long while they all just sat there silent and staring. Words = 2,098

Buraindo [Orimara Branch], Youji | Fui [Gekkou] Shuutan 'Shu' | Hisakata [Orimara], Kan | Tsukurite [Mayonaka], Meimu "So this is our newest destination, Kan? I think joining up with you three was a bad idea. I mean, we're at a school facility in Konoha for crying out loud." "Look Conji, I didn't ask you or anyone else to tag along. Got a problem with where I go? ******** off then." "Such language around your brother and that young boy Meimu." "Half brother. And they're heard worse I'm sure." "I have not heard worse," whispers Meimu as Kan looks down at him. Five males stand before a huge building called The Shinobi Academy. A shiny building with nicely laid brick pavements and fresh greenery: trees, grass, bushes. A large fountain in the shape of Hidden Leaf's Kage stands tall with water rushing down it. The moon looms in the sky, shining down on the five boys. Kan, apparently the leader of the group, was of the Orimara clan from Hidden Moon. A pretty gray scale sort of guy. His hair is a shimmering silver in the moonlight but in the sunlight it seems a dim gray, much like his eyes. His flowing locks extend down to his waist and is tied by a silver elastic strong. If let loose he could almost pass off as a girl. If he didn't have the hard face of a man, a warrior. For some reason he wasn't wearing a shirt which showed off his pale skin in the moonlight. He had muscles like a child but not quite like a child. They were sculpted much like a man who lifts weights as a daily routine. Kan's blue jean pants, held up by a belt tightly wound around his waist, were soaking wet. They are so soaked that the water drips onto his bare feet which are flat upon the ground. The boy he set his glowing silver eyes on was Meimu, a Mayonaka from Hidden Moon much like Kan. Meimu's hair is a glimmering black and his eyes a dark gray. The belt buckle of Kan's pants are reflected in his gaze. The belt buckle held the only identification Kan had about who and what he was. The full moon crest only shown on articles of clothing of Orimara clan members; the most powerful clan in Hidden Moon. Unlike Kan, Meimu bears a set of three clouds obscuring the moon as the crest on all of his clothing. Around Meimu's neck, shifted around upon his back, is a straw hat with a black leather belt around it. The belts buckles holds his crest. Around his shoulders and extending down to the back of his knees is a shawl made from scraps of various fabrics. Beneath that is a pale green and dark brown shirt with his crest in the center of it. Strapped on his waist is a pouch in which he stores various items he may need that also serves as a belt for his dark brown pants. On the knees is a patch of pale green fabric cut in the shape of a diamond. The legs of his pants, at the bottom, are tucked into glossy dark gray all weather shoes. The wind stirs to reveal black gloves on Meimu's hands and an odd old staff. "Neither have I," includes a sickly, pale boy as he raises a frail hand. Kan's eyes dart over to the male as do Meimu's small eyes in response. "Come on! You're how old and you haven't heard the word ******** before Shuutan?" Shuutan smiles in embarrassment, his hand shifting around in his dirty blond, almost light brown, hair. When he smiled it was always wide and his eyes squinted closed each time. Unlike the under dressed Meimu and the severely under dressed Kan, Shuttan was covered in a puffy black coat with black fur around the openings and matching black puffy pants. He wore snow boots even thought it had yet to snow. His cheeks were rosy from smiling and from the cold that didn't seem to bother Meimu or Kan. "Call me Shu, Kan. Shuutan is way too long. And seeing as how timid my family is..." Shu trails off, opening his eyes up, to show brilliant orange and golden eyes. The colors were swirled together in his eyes but didn't mix. His eyes were unique. He has yet to meet anyone who has seen eyes like his or has eyes like his. Not even his close family had his eyes. But it did surprise Shu how his cousin, Conji had navy and light green eyes that looked like his: swirling colors that didn't mix. "And neither have I despite my travels." Conji, young boy that looked sickly much like Shu, adds in. He wore the same exact attire as Shu except his was gray. On his forehead, beneath the cover of his bangs, could the Heron with its winged outspread be seen. That was the crest of a Gekkou. But the thing that made their clan noticeable was the sickly appearance they had and their cough. Since Shu was a cousin of Conji it was obvious that he too was a Gekkou. Where his crest was was uncertain. "Yeah, yeah," mutters Kan turning to look at the boy beside Meimu. "You got something to say about me cursing too Youji?" "N-not really," stutters the young boy lower his head. Despite the illusion that Youji was staring down at the ground, he was blind. His dim gray eyes gaze don only to see darkness. His messy white hair shifts in the wind as it stick out every which way upon his head. The only noticeable clothing that Youji has is the wolf skin shawl that covers his body from his bare feet up to his shoulders. Water seems to drip from within the shawl much like the water dripped from Kan's pants. Could Youji be carrying the rest of Kan's clothing? The shawl slips off of Youji's shoulder a little, revealing the makings of a ying yang mark on his right shoulder. Kan swiftly snatching up the shawl and covers the mark. That mark revealed Youji to be of the Orimara Branch Family unlike his brother Kan. Kan then reaches into the head, or hood, of the wolf shawl and pulls out a small water container. He opens it and attempts to drain it of liquid only to find that there was none. He growls and shoves it back into Youji's hood, causing him to wobble, and storms ahead of the group. "I forgot to mention that I drank the last of the water, didn't I? Ah well. I need my liquids," scoffs Conji as Kan frowns. Conji continues to express how he wasn't wrong for drinking the water as Kan's left eye twitches. "Come on, Meimu. Let's go inside and get more water." "Stop right there," states Kan looking over at Youji who was dragging Meimu towards the building. "I'm the leader. We go inside when I say to go inside." "Are you guys coming?" Asks Conji as he stands at the entrance to the building. Kan clenches his fist as his left eye twitches again. Words = ?
