I've only ever read one series by Mercedes lackey.
I don't remember what it is called but it has the obsidian shadow, 3 book series, and is a very good series, I'll pull the books out of my closet and fix this post when I'm not so lazy.

I actualy haven't read those at all sweatdrop .. it is rather embarasing when you consider the lengths that I had to go through to get her eariest books xp
but I am not as caught up in her new "Kingdom" fairtails books as I thought I would be, Black Swan was amazing, but it just wasn't really all that orriginal of a twist on the old Swan Lake tale

HonoRaven I actualy haven't read those at all sweatdrop .. it is rather embarasing when you consider the lengths that I had to go through to get her eariest books xp but I am not as caught up in her new "Kingdom" fairtails books as I thought I would be, Black Swan was amazing, but it just wasn't really all that orriginal of a twist on the old Swan Lake tale I strongly reccomend the Obsidian Trilogy. It's a very good 3 books. Lackey was a co-writer on it. James Mallory is on it too, and he is also a good author.

Crystal and Tenma- The Obsidian Trilogy is really good, what I've read of it so far <3
I read the Outstretched Shadow when it first came out and I LOVE it. It was really slow to get into, but once I was in, I was hooked and devoured the rest of it.
I have To Light A Candle, but I haven't read all of it yet. Something cam up and my reading flow got interrupted, so I decided I'd wait 'til I had time to read the whole thing without interference. <3
Need to pick up When Darkness Falls though =o
I REEEEEEEEEEEEAAAALLY Hope she writes more Herald books though! The Last Herald Mage Books are my favourites <3333 M'trying to get all three books so I can re-read them. I just got a call from the used bookstore last week, someone brought in Magic's Pawn, so I picked that up <33 I need Magic's Promise and Magic's Price though T____T
Tenma, fair warning on those three... ish of a shonen-ai nature.
You'd probably really like the Black Gryphon trilogy, And prolly Brightly Burning <3
You know what other books I REALLY want to find to buy are? The Tarma and Kethry books T^T

The Tarma and Kethry books T^T The "Magic" Trilogy is my favorite as well...*resists the urge to reread them for the 15th time... seeing as how the new Harry Potter comes out very soon* xp Tenma would likely like the "Owl" trilogy as well 3nodding but I really want another book about Vaniel crying Lackey wrote so many songs to go with his books heart or perhaps andother Bardic Magic book would be just as good xd
