Roulin's mind was elsewhere now. His eyes were still tracing an invisible path the nearest cesspool Will had the spine to call a casino. The young man was prepared now to live. Hell, he had two weeks until his last encounter with the Fallen Phoenix, Thomas and Timothy. If at any point in time soon the Owl figured that he wasn't strong enough to go out and take them by himself with no assistance at all, he'd treat himself to the smorgasbord of powers and abilities that was shining dinner plate Las Vegas. Walking on away from Amara, he began to toy with his powers creating different colored lights that shined in strobe patterns atop his fingertips.

When Amara caught up to him presenting more questions, Roulin relished a grin as his first response. She had a point that had become more than evident in the attitudes of the Heralds. Timothy especially. "I'd like to think that...my mind wouldn't go to waste with such age." The young Owl replied as the neared the casino floor. "I'm already cynical. Dismissive even. Blame that on Che though. Then again, you know me better than that. When this is done, I'll go back to being how I was. Quiet, reserved...not as confrontational. I won't have to be hopefully. Neither will any of us."

Finally, the duo reached the floor of the casino where the music thumped at a medium paced tempo. The lights were multicolored much like the orbs that once sat on his fingers and were almost hypnotic in the speed. Of course, there were no clocks on the walls nor was their any indication of the time anywhere to be seen. Will was the devil and this was his home. Roulin knew he was in Hell, but at least he had a friend here. Someone who'd probably burn with him until the bitter end. "Roulette. Only because it begins with Rou." And with that, the Italian took his seat and started doing what was arguably in his blood. Gambling. Roulin turned to Amara when she requested his service. "A godfather huh? You know better than to ask an Italian to be the godfather of anything. I won't mind godding the little guy, but just know one day, I may make him an offer he can't refuse." The Che part of him couldn't let that moment go....he could let an impersonation of Marlon Brando slip past him especially since Amara laid out the opportunity before him. "Heh heh. Yeah, now sit down and throw your life away with me. If we win, we can combine our earnings and do something later this evening with it."

"Hmm? Oh yeah, I'm fine babe. You did just heal me after all," replied Moli as he wrapped his arms around the young projectors waist. When his light blue eyes fell onto the eyes of his lover, he could tell that something was amiss. Still, better to let her say it then to drag it out of her. "Dinner eh? Sounds fine to me. If these guys ask me to do something though....I may have to do it." The Herald's lips were pulled into a light, toothy frown that he hoped would express his dismay. It was replaced by a chuckle though when Aeon asked if he'd lost interest in her. Pulling her closer and then planting a kiss atop her forehead, he answered, "You won't? That's...not bad news really. I'd rather not have you out there in that warzone anyway. And don't worry about me Ae. I'm going to train so that I don't have to worry about that myself."

(I will post Che when Tai gets posted.)

Amara laughed at his impersonation of the godfather. She tried to watch the lengthy film on numerous occasions...but had never finished it in its entirety. "You're a dumbass" she said laughing. "But thank you Roulin" she said to him as she took a seat next to him. "Roulin I was born to do this, don't forget they didn't call me The Lucky Owl for no reason" she said with a mischievous grin. As she sat down the dealer looked at Roulin and Amara. "Newlyweds????" he asked the two. Amara looked at Roulin and back at the man. "Oh hell no!!!" she replied with a laugh. "He's my brother" she said and looked at the wheel. "So what numbers are you playing?" he asked her. Amara looked at him and at the wheel.

"We'll take three numbers, seeing how good things come in threes. Red 36, Red 12 and black 5" she said to the man. He then began to take the bets of others before he started the wheel. A waitress came by as Amara stopped her. "Excuse me ma'am, can I get two shots of Jameson, one Walk on the Moon and uh....Porn Star" she said as she ordered for her and Roulin. "Roulin, give the man the appropriate amount of money to bet...I have a feeling we're going to clean this place out" she said to him.

Aeon looked at Moli. She just wish for once he'd relax. He was nowhere as bad as Roulin or Lucien. She smirked. "Great well we can go to the Nobhill Tavern...I heard that they have some really good food, especially the seafood" she said smiling to him. As they left the casino she looked at Moli. "Listen Moli, seeing how this may be our ONLY down time...so...well I'll just be honest with you. For the last few months I've been detoxing from my addiction...I don't know if you're familiar with KIK...but it's a drug that helps people control their unstable powers and amplify them. It's been two months...everyday I wake up feeling like I want to die...but with the help from Cecilia, I've realized that I'm not only doing this for myself...but you...and our relationship" she said smiling at the light herald.

"I'll never do anything to hurt you again Moli. As corny as it may sound, you are the best thing to happen to me...other than finding my sister, you make me feel...I don't even know the words but I like the way I feel" she said grinning. "I don't think I ever thanked you...but...thank you handsome...thank you for coming to my college campus and ruining my life with the news of me being an OWL....it was the BEST thing that has ever happened to me because I ended up with you" she said as she interlocked her arm through his and snuggled tight to him as they continued their walk.

Erin nodded in agreement with Cecilia's first statement. The artistic owl did feel distinctly happier now that her relationship with Elle was somewhat repaired from her perspective at least. She then looked down at her clothes again when Cecilia joked about the outfit being some kind of fashion statement. Her smile turned embarrassed then. "Regardless, I still think I should change my clothes." she replied as she slowly got to her feet. Now that she had rested, Erin did feel physically better and not as exhausted as she had been. "Thank you, Cecilia." Erin said with a smile as she started for the door. "I would appreciate it." Like Cecilia, Erin hadn't had any chance recently to relax and just be a normal person for once.

Before Nik could gave any sort of answer to her questions or statements, they were interrupted by the arrival of the very annoying Satan Owl. Anya's scowl deepened into an angry frown. "Dammit, Will! That's not why I'm annoyed at all!" she retorted as her fists clenched to keep herself from actually punching Will in the face for bothering to interrupt her conversation with Nik. The talk she and Nik were having had absolutely nothing to do with him, so why the hell couldn't he just keep his fat a** out of her life already? It was annoying as all hell, no pun intended. She considered going after Will and Nik, but maybe that wasn't such a good idea. Hopefully, Will wouldn't be a complete d**k and try to kill Nikolai or anything. Then again, Nik could very well get himself out of a situation that confronted him with death. He'd done that before. Letting her anger through a growl of frustration, Anya turned her back on the direction that Nik had been dragged by Will, and stormed out of Will's office. She wanted to get out of that room. Nik would be able to find her again, so there was no problem there.

Luca smiled lightly and took her hand leading her towards the dance floor. As they stepped on it he held her gently as he began to move. One...two...one...two with each step of the dance Luca took the lead, Bailey's form left a bit to be desired but it was to be expected, she had probably never danced in a formal waltz before, or at least this was Luca's assumption. With every note from the piano, every motion, the world seemed to spin, in this rotating escape they were isolated in their own world. A sudden change in the music, it's beat slightly rose. Luca sped up the dance a little, smiling as he spun Bailey gently then pulled her in close. He laughed a little and looked into her eyes. "You're actually very good for a beginner. Who knows maybe in a past life you were English to." He said softly. After a few more minutes the song came to it's conclusion. The people stopped dancing and turned towards the pianist who stood up and bowed. Luca clapped lightly and was soon followed by the others. He smiled a little again, confident that things were finally seeming to turn around. He looked towards Bailey and said. "Well now with all the festivities done, I suppose we can finally eat." He said as he led her back to the table. He took a seat and raised the menu, it's parchment style paper outlined in some kind of gold leaf edge, and then bordered with a red leather like material to keep it sturdy. He shifted his eyes over the menu, his mind was however sort of elsewhere, there was a lot to do now that they were engaged, and with the way things were going Luca didn't know if an actual ceremony would be possible until after this crisis. With the war and their raging sides things would get more complicated before they got better. For now though all there was to do was to enjoy the time that they could together, it was these moments that made it all worthwhile.

As soon as the Mastering Owl began to get closer to him, he discarded his facade, and like the escaping act on Sebastian's cocoon,he would ear through the paper like a hot knife through butter. Tai, clenched his armored arm, and just as quickly as he finished this motion, the spears began to retract , whipping around as they returned to their origin, as soon as the returned to their liquid viscosity the entered though his skin and in an instant, his body became covered in spikes and needles, Impaling an pushing away all the cards holding him back, Tai's body could no longer keep up the punishment, His body shuddered and he paused, he gasped and coughed, a small surge of blood erupted from his mouth. He grasped his chest and coughed, his heart had burst , the needles then softened and began to chew away at the cards restraining him. Tai's eyes began to lose their light, and suddenly they reignited in rage, he was now controlling his blood flow on his own. As soon as the small inconvenience was taken care of, the spines began to return to his body,. He looked up towards Che and snickered, blood lightly trickling out of his mouth, He got into a position and quickly began to focus, his body began to show more definition, he was now controlling all his bodily functions on his own accord, his muscles began to swell lightly, defining themselves, and his eyes began to glow brighter, his heartbeat was now nonexistent and his body was now at the peak that only few humans could reach even within the rush that they use in their hastened breaths of true fear. The restraints of sanity were also completely gone....

Tai shot forward and reached into the ground, with a low grunt and heave, a low rumbling was heard as a boulder the same size, if not bigger than Che's glass ball was being unearthed from the arena ,"Hehehehe....COME ON!" he growled in a distorted voice. He heaved i over his head and prepared for the Mastering Owl to get closer.

Cecilia followed Erin out of the room. As she didn't know where Erin's room was, she would let the Artistic Owl take the lead. She hoped that some time at the casino would break her out of her small depression. Surely a few drinks might help as well. Even though Cecilia had never been an avid drinker, only partaking in the activity every once in awhile, she was willing to do anything to become happy...at least for one night...except resort to the use of drugs. She had crossed that path long ago and the results were something she didn't like to think about very much. It had been hard enough to quit cold turkey. That being said, the Herald didn't know if her teal haired companion did that sort of stuff. "Hey, Erin...do you smoke...or drink?" she asked curiously as they walked down the ornate corridor.

Bailey's lack of dancing skills soon became known when they were on the dance floor. She couldn't count how many times she stepped on his feet, her cheeks tinging pink with embarrassment each time she did. However, during the second half of the waltz, she became accustomed to the slow and rhythmic steps, so that when he sped up, she did not make a complete fool of herself and lose her balance. As he spun her, the world around them disappeared and they entered their own world together that consisted of only them, a world where nothing else mattered.

Soon, the waltz came to an end, Bailey reluctantly broke away from Luca in order to lightly applaud the pianist before the newly engaged couple returned to their table. Bailey picked up the menu and perused it. As she suspected, the prices were not exactly low, but she was sure that with an atmosphere such as this, the food would be worth it. Once finding something that sounded delicious, Bailey looked up at Luca and spoke softly. "I really don't think we should get married until after this war is over or has dwindled down considerably at least," she said indicating that her thoughts were on the same level as his. "It not that I want a big, elaborate wedding. Don't get me wrong, one would be nice, but I'm saying that if we do try to get married with everything that is happening around us right now, there is that small chance something might happen and we might not make it to the altar," she said looked down at the menu and running her fingers over the gilded letters stamped onto it, which indicated the name of the restaurant.

Erin made her way down the hall, letting Cecilia fall into step beside her as they headed for Erin's room. It wasn't very far. Just a couple of turns and they were within sight of the door. That was when Cecilia asked if she drank alcohol or smoked. The Artistic Owl blinked in mild surprise and glanced at her friend out of the corner of her vision. Though she could understand why Cecilia would ask such a question. They were, after all, in a casino owned by the Satan Owl.

"Um... No. I've never had the taste for the stuff. Not even in religious settings for wine and stuff. Besides, that sort of stuff... How do I put this? Well, even the tiniest bit of it makes me weak, for lack of a better description. It affects me more severely than other people, and not just in the conventional sense." Erin explained as she searched for the key card to unlock the door to her room. Maybe she should explain everything to Cecilia now now that she had said what she just did about the drinking and smoking. After all, Erin felt she owed Cecilia at least somewhat of an explanation now. After unlocking the door to her room, Erin led Cecilia inside. "Here we are." Erin announced with a tiny smile as she shut the door behind them.

In a small way, Cecilia wasn't surprised that Erin didn't drink. She was sure that with her mutation, alcohol would have a very negative affect on the Artistic Owl given the fact that it affected the blood. At least Cecilia knew not to order something to drink for Erin. That was part of the reason she had asked. The two soon arrived at Erin's room, which the teal haired Owl soon revealed after locating her key card. Cecilia stepped inside and looked around. "Very nice," she said approvingly. What she liked about this hotel was that each room was different. The interior design, the colors, the furniture...nothing was the same. Each room could fit the decorative tastes of different people who stayed here. "Right!" Cecilia said excitedly clasping her hands together loudly. "Let's find we can something to wear that'll bring out those beautiful features of yours!"

Erin smiled at Cecilia's reaction to the room. She didn't decorate the room this way. It was how she found it. She headed further into the room towards the bedroom closet. She smiled sheepishly at Cecilia's enthusiastic declaration. "Okay. I'll leave the choices up to you." Erin replied as she opened the closet to reveal the articles of clothing hanging there. She hoped Cecilia would choose something that would cover up her tattoos because knew that they mostly likely would attract attention given how strangely tribal they were. She stepped back from the closet so Cecilia would be able to look at the clothes. "I should at least take a quick shower before I change." she added. Even though Erin had been in a sparring match and had received her fair share of cuts and bruises, they had quickly healed due to her ability.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2012 3:30 pm

Cecilia walked towards the closet and began perusing the selection of clothing. She had a feeling that Erin would want something that would cover up those tattoos, but in Cecilia's mind, she thought that the Artistic Owl should show them off. Perhaps she could pass them off as something she got done awhile back. After all, there were plenty of people in the world who had intricate tattoos. She shouldn't hide them just because she was afraid of what people might think. That being said, Cecilia chose something that was modest, but would also show off a bit of Erin's skin without turning her look like a complete hussy.

Cecilia didn't see any jewelry. The Herald had some of her own. Maybe she could find a set that would match what she had chosen for Erin. It had been a bit of time since the training session, so her powers had returned. Opening up a wormhole, Cecilia entered through it, using it to teleport to her room. Once there, she began rummaging through the jewelry box for a few moments before finding something that Erin would surely like. Once that was finished, she traveled back to Erin's room via wormhole once again and laid the jewelry out with the clothes and shoes.

Leaving Cecilia to peruse the clothes in the closet, Erin headed for the bathroom so she could take a shower. She made sure to take a quick one so she wouldn't make her friend wait for her.

She came back out of the bathroom in a robe, towel drying her long teal hair. By this time, she saw Cecilia stepping back into the room through her wormhole. "Is something wrong?" she asked, tilting her head to the side in question of Cecilia. But the look disappeared quickly because Cecilia's demeanor told Erin that everything was fine. Erin smiled a bit and approached the bed, where it seemed that Cecilia had laid out the outfit she had chosen. Everything was fine until she saw the shirt. When she noticed the sleeveless top, Erin bit her lower lip a bit nervously. "Um... Do you think you could pick something out with sleeves? I'm not sure about showing... the tattoos..." Erin said softly, turning her gaze away from Cecilia in case her friend got offended or anything.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:01 pm

By the time Cecilia returned, Erin had finished with her shower. She hoped the Artistic Owl would approve of the outfit. However, Cecilia heard Erin's disapproval of the top. Was she disappointed? Yes, a little bit. Was she offended? No, not at all. "Listen, I think you should wear the top. I know you might be afraid of what people might think of the tattoos, but I honestly don't think they would be too scared. A lot of people in this world have intricate tattoos such as yours and some of theirs covers more of their body than yours do. Come on, just try it out. Besides, if anyone gives you a hard time, I'll deal with them," she said with a mischievous grin. If Erin still said no, Cecilia would choose something else for her.

Nik was about to answer Anya's various questions, when Will came out of nowhere and said he had to have words with Nik. Nik would have offered some kind of protest, but he was already being dragged away by the Satan Owl. When the pair reached the balcony, Nik released himself from the Satan Owl's grip and asked, "Well, what do you want with me William? If it's not terribly important, I'm going back to talk with Anya." Nik smiled lightly, but he was only being polite, he would really rather be anywhere else but with the Satan Owl at the moment. Preferably talking with Anya, and possibly giving her a massage.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2012 5:26 pm

((Will))

If Anya's role was set, then Nikolai's would fall into place soon enough. Of course Will ignored Anya's protests. Anya protested about anything that involved or related to the Satan Owl. The blonde knew that Nikolai was not very fond of being in his presence right now. Most people weren't comfortable and would rather be elsewhere. Will smiled innocently back at Nik.

"Well, Nikolai. We never did finish the conversation from last time, my Russian comrade.." Will patted Nikolai on the shoulder. "I see you've been taking care of her for me as expected. Good. I trust you'll keep doing that now you two are official." He smirked. "I suppose I should congratulate you two, but I'll have to settle for this." The devil reached into the suit pocket on his chest and pulled out a key. He placed it in Nik's hand in a manner that the two of them were not facing Anya and she couldn't see the actions. "You'll know when to use it. It has a partner." And with a mischievous grin, the devil chuckled and patted Nik on the shoulder again. "Have fun, Nik. I'm sure you will overcome what needs to be done."

Erin looked from the outfit to Cecilia. "Its not just on my arms. They're on my back and cover my legs too." The tattoos were more than just simple tattoos on her skin as well. She was unsure about the shirt, but she knew Cecilia had a point though. She also didn't want to disappoint Cecilia either. She was able to tell that Cecilia was a bit disappointed with her initial reaction. "True... I suppose I could try it..." Erin replied with a small smile. She was still unsure about it, but she would try it on and see how she felt then. Looks could be very deceiving as the saying went. So maybe, she would like wearing it. "I'll go change into them." Erin said as she picked up the shirt and jeans. She would come back for the shoes and jewelry after she was dressed.

She came back from the bathroom a few minutes later, wearing the jeans and the flowered shirt. Obviously, the tattoos on her arms, shoulders, and upper back were all visible this way. She felt very exposed while dressed like this. As such, Erin emerged from the bathroom nervously grasping her left arm at the elbow with her right hand and looking down at the floor shyly as she went back over to the bed to put on the shoes and other accessories. She was very nervous about what Cecilia would think about the tattoos.
