"I had hoped to discuss such distasteful things after dinner. I seem to remember your father getting very upset at my mother for that very reason." Mary calmly set her fork down at looked at Roule. "His life was his own to spend, dear cousin. He was a self proclaimed king, master of his own ship. If he chose to engage in battle it is his own folly."
Erick spoke over the rim of his cup with a most serious tone and expression on his face. "What sort of man would strike a lady? It is a good thing Posideon is gone, he may have come after your own lady-love. Consider it a wedding present your grace," Erick bowed his head before raising his cup. "To a very long and happy life between the King of Spades and his new queen!"
Mary raised her glass as well and smiled a beauty queen smile, soft and bright. "To your engagement!"

((okies, bad news, -well, for the rp- I'm going away again, for like.. Two weeks.. So, I will get online when I can, if not, see you in september! xx))
Alice began to shake from worry at the sound of the footsteps, and the hair on the back of her neck prickled, so she knew someone was watching her. "For heaven's sake!" she yelled at the empty corridors. "Come out!"
The twins moved purposely towards the castle, but scanned the area around them for dangers, even so, they missed the arrival of
A large number of normal ghosts, who silently moved out of the shadows behind Josh and clamped their wrists about his arms and legs, as their puppeteer strolled forwards into the group - mistakenly assuming that only Josh could harm him.
Josh struggled in a futile attempt to free himself from the surprisingly strong grips upon his body "Izzy! Look b.." He shouted before one of them covered his mouth
Jeanie remained frozen, the emotions fighting in her heart were causing turmoil in her head and she did not want to act upon them until someone acted first
Magenta raised her eyebrows at the brazen attempt to worm into the King's favour. "He would never have been there to strike had you not proposed barbarically cutting out his heart." She hissed before she could stop herself. Quickly, she recomposed her features and smiled at the lady before her. "Miss Anna, is it true you are engaged? Quite a development. Did you both enjoy the rose garden?" She questioned, trying to steer the conversation towards safer, simpler ground

((I had forgotten about the knife. Sorry Krazy, I tend to read things that pertain to me only and I hadn't caught that Mark and Alice had entered the castle. There could be, Cuddly.))
Haven could not believe what he was hearing, it was perfect, he could use this information to his advantage. "Jeanie hasn't been told any of this? He has created his own tomb then..." he said softly, ideas already simmering in his head. He began to slowly eat away at his sirloin, in well cut bite sizes. He placed his fork down to lift his glass of red wine to the toast, only half mindful of everthing else, his mind distracted by thoughts and schemes. Then he looked up to Jeanie's eyes, grinning, you will be mine soon, you will be mine he thought to himself.
Gale nodded, "Agreed, it would be most unfortunate for her to be lost in this castle. Especially if Rhoule got to her before we did," he commented softly. He looked to Magenta, a little surprised by her first reaction, though not surprised in a bad way. He listened for all the information he could catch. As the Strategist of Hearts and the Scientist of Clubs... He had quite the amount of good things to represent. He needed to catch every hint of information. Too bad he had missed Darkness' passing of information.

 Play by my rules… Rhoule was not a patient fellow, at night it seemed like he could wait a bit longer before exploding but not very much more than in the day. So it was no surprise that the young King of Spades was already tapping not only a foot but a gloved finger against the table while waiting for his cousins answer. Her first words annoyed him greatly. He was king of this castle! He would discuss things when and where he wanted. But hadn’t he just told Anna moments before that he didn’t wish to discuss business till after supper? Yes, he had. ((Even though now he had totally forgotten what she and he were going to discuss.)) Still he was King and the rules changed to his liking.
Engage in battle? the king thought Mary’s words puzzling the king causing his brow to come together. Her words seemed strange to Rhoule. Had that sea captain just struck out at random or was there something behind it? A little grumble came from the King as he shifted in his seat and thought. Erick spoke up next, which caused the purple eyes to shift to the body guard card. His words echoing his cousin’s. Then he added something that made the Violet eyes go wide. Lady love? the king snorted to himself, Wedding present? New queen?
Then come a small, choked laughing cough sort of noise. The king couldn‘t help it! The idea was so absurd! Magenta’s word of why the old King of the Sea had attacked, were noted but not talked about. Perhaps if someone were to remind him later of Mary‘s actions then he would get mad again. But for now, he gave another sort of little choked laughing cough as if trying to hold it in, before looking over to Anna. Surely she found this as amusing as him. Though, there was something to be of him not out and out bursting with laughter. At least he was being a little considerate. Well, at least to Rhoule he was.
Sure, Rhoule wanted to posses her. But that wasn’t love. He just wanted to own her. Keep her near him. She could be very amusing at times. Graced with beautiful features as well as her voice. What King wouldn’t think about owning such a pretty amber eyed jewel? ...or don't play at all. ((Can anyone control them then? Like thinking about Jazzing up Sinope and Tass with a little I don't know action or something xD))

Idril used them first.)) A giggle radiated from right behind Alice. A form appeared with a bright smile. "Here I am, dear. You seem to be lost." She tilted her head to the side and took a deep breath. "Mmmm... human. I don't think there has been a human in this house in years. You are definatly a long way from home."Izzy was worried, yes but she was also terrified out of her mind. Night did nothing for her courage to start with and she was scared of what she would find when they got to the castle. So when Josh shouted her name, she turned around irritated. And what she found didn't help her nerves any. Ghosts all around with Josh caught by them. Her eyes narrowed and her hat was immedately off her head and in her hand instantly was her sword. "What do you want?"Antoinette turned as Izzy did and a whimper escaped her throat. She had been good at avoiding ghosts and the like, so this was really her first encounter with them. And they terrified her.Alice was not paying any attention to the conversation at hand. No, instead she was focused on the food on the table. She had reached out and put some of it on her plate but now that she was looking at it... she didn't know what any of it was. But that wasn't going to stop her from eating it. No one (asside from Mark) was paying her any attention so she was eating.

Random leaned toward Jeanie. There was no gentleness in the gesture. He was afraid of the Red Queen. Even though he might lose the game, it seemed right, he whispered to Jeanie, "Not right. To rule is to serve. No. Hurt. Moth... Mistress." His gaze never left the noble across the table.

((Alright. Ninja is finally back for a moment. We have a new player. Christian Monroe RP. Playing the Caterpillar. I'm excited.
Happy birthday Max. ^_^ And a very merry unbirthday to everyone else.
Can anyone control who Cuddly? The guards? They are technically yours to control as NPC's of your domain, but they are flexible to anyone's usage. If you disagree with a post involving them, you could request an edit and removal, but... yeah, they're pretty free lance.
Far as Tass and Sinope... I've got drama planned. wink first things first, he'll be talking to guards soon. Would you like to play them Cuddly?

Tass slipped through the hallways, taking detours when necessary and trying to stay away from well lit rooms. They were headed up to the top, looking for an inner room that wasn't occupied or going to be searched. He knew one room, but it would be tough getting in... The Queen of Hearts room. It would be guarded, but not searched. Anna was at the dinner, leaving the room unoccupied. Speaking of the feisty demon, she'd taken out some of his best men, while she had been unarmed. He hoped she didn't react negatively to him being there when she returned.

(Thank you very much for the birthday wishes! I would have answered sooner but I was at DragonCon this weekend. Sooooooo much fun, I wish I could have taken you all with me! Posting soon, my little lunatics!)

Magenta noted Rhoule's reaction to the comments, and she was slightly pleased by this, in more ways than one. But, being polite, she waited upon Anna's confirmation of the situation presented. For the first time, Magenta acknowleged the appearance of Haven in the room. She looked away sharply to try and eat something although the feelings in her stomach had suddenly taken a nastier turn

Alice spun stupidly to face the apparition. Seeing no more than a person, her fear turned to anger. "Of course I'm a long way from home! This place could be bloody anywhere! I get dragged here, dumped here and messed with. And you! What do you think gives you the right to go around scaring people like that? It's rude and downright nasty!" She glared openly at the Hatter, "And now I'm stuck here, with another stranger in a place I don't belong. I don't care anymore, Ly damn well left me alone in this house and I don;t want to be here." Her eyes softened as a random surge of nostalgia for her home world over took her. She's right.. none of them are human, no matter how much they look it. I'm far away from humans and I'm far away from Earth

"Where is the one known as Antionette?" it hissed malevolently. "She must come with us"
Josh continued to struggle, and he didn't hear the Puppeteer, she he couldn't understand why the other's weren't attacking
Jeanie heard Random, but did not look at him. She turned her head away, and saw Alice sitting with Mark. The girl was studiously eating, and appeared normal and relaxed. Jeanie set about copying her every move to hide her own unease

Random was not good at this game. Playing was in his inherent nature, and... well, normal was boring. He stood up and offered his glass, then tossed it over his shoulder and sat back down. He looked past Jeanie to Cyrillia, not to dismiss Jeanie, but in his odd respect to Mistress. "For Mother." He smiled. He didn't care to look at Rhoule or Mary as he sat back down.
Teaser's feline jaw dropped. She looked up to Gale in shock. "Uh... did you hear what I just heard?", she whispered, almost to herself.
Darkness leaned toward Haven. "Did... you hear what I just heard?" It hissed in its poisonous innocence, affecting a mock child-like investigatory tone, looking about curiously, although he knew what he was looking for

Sinope had snuggled herself nicely against Tass’s neck. It was there she realized how tired she was. Poor little mouse had had quite the day. She was back home, but if she was found in her ‘home’ then a fate worse then death awaited her. Really, shouldn’t she be at least a little worried that the guard she was trusting so easily would turn on her? During her time in the castle she assigned personalities to the guards that carried no names. Rhoule never wanted to know or even thought to give them any. But being next to the king so often she had watched the guards for a lack of something better to do. Tass was her favorite. Blixt and Dunder were the ones she feared the most of the card guards. But was she thinking about running into that pair. No, she was just enjoying snuggling her new found protector. Even if he asked about her cousin, Sinope probably would have to take a moment to remember who Myrine was.
((Sure! Just bring them in and I’ll play them. I was asking about the ghosts and stuff. But if you have a plan then I don‘t care ^_^ ))
Myrine didn’t mind that she had seemingly been forgotten. She just enjoyed the moment when she could, in theory, be alone. The pocket just held her and the random items that Random had in there. But really there was nothing else living in there. At least that was what she thought, who knew exactly what was in his pockets. Anyways, she had kept herself on the top of off the items she could, but when the boy decided to stand up…Well, it sent the poor mouse to the bottom again. And with out thinking she let out a couple of high squeaks. Enough for those closest to him to hear that there was something living in the pocket that was not happy at his actions. ((Should I go a head with Rhoule? I was going to wait for Andi... But if needed I'll post something for him. ))

((I hate to admit it, but Idril's thoughts have a point. This thread is becoming a lot slower. We need everyone to post if they agree or disagree with Idril on the ending idea. I would hate to do it, with as long as this has gone on, but... I would rather a conclusion than it dying out and never having an ending. It could just be a busy time for everyone, but what we need to know is... will the busy-ness ever slow? This saddens me deeply to speak of, as this is my pride and joy.
I do still have a plan. Quite a fun one at that, but... We need to see if I need to change the thought toward an ending rather than an opening. Yes, go ahead with Rhoule.))
