Felina opened her eyes briefly to look at Oassu and Cid along with the path ahead "You do too much you know.
"Let him have his silly moment Seph, you've had pleanty already" Hayate grinned and squeezed past them.
Satoshi glared at Mari "I wasn't allowed to take part in one of my exams because one of my team mates didnt feel like entering. At the end of the day there is only 10 max ninjas that are allowed to move up at one time. We are real close now" she added.

Zadina rolled his eyes and poked Alpha leaving a tiny trail of fire where he poked him "Silly old man" he murmered quickening the pace.
Itaka raised an eyebrow "And I suppose you haven't ever done something silly?" he asked.
Oassu looked at Felina, surprise on his dark face "Why do you say that...I like helping out with Cid" he said. Suddenly he looked at Cid who seemed to be shuffling uncomfortably. "Looks like he needs to go" he said taking Cid and putting him on the ground.
Mari sighed apologetically "My apologies Satoshi, that seems like a grave miscarriage of justice" she said hanging her head.

Alpha laughed quietly while absorbing the flames where Zadina had poked him "You may think I'm talking silly but just wait a couple of years and you'll know exactly what I am talking about"
Seph nodded without hesitation "I did walk into that barrier earlier. That was silly" she reminded him "It hurt too"
Hebal gave Satoshi a puzzled look "I don't get it. If you have to enter in teams of 3 or 4 why do 10 move up that means not everyone on the same team will pass. Shouldn't you all?"

Hayate quickly moved passed Felina and Oassu "You still have a way to go. That little guy almost went on my foot" he complained.
Felina giggled "Sorry Hayate. He will keep getting better" she waited until Cid finished his business then scooped him up in her arms "I feel bad about asking you to take care of him sometimes but if you enjoy it then no worries I guess" she smiled and placed Cid back on Oassu's hat
Satoshi sighed "It's ok Mari just try not to judge so much. The first 2 parts are in teams, the third is one on one showdowns"she explained only just paying attention.

Itaka whispered to Seph "We'll get him back later, maybe get him drunk then make the ship take off without him".
Oassu looked up at Cid."Shush Hayate you got in the way," he turned to Felina "Don't worry about it I love this little guy and I hope he feels the same" he said reaching up an stroking his ears.
Mari grinned "I bet you excelled in the showdowns section"
Zadina rolled his eyes "I don't wanna grow up just yet you grown ups act funny"

Seph grinned "We could do that, alternatively we could just lock him in the closet for a couple of days" she whispered back.
Alpha raised his eyebrow at Zadina's comment "Oh we do now? Howso"
Hebal nodded "You must have done really well if you were able to get through the showdowns and go up a rank. And you would have been competing against loads of people from your village."

Hayate sighed "He could have gone by the wall." He kept on going past those two shaking his head.
Felina reached up and patted Cid on the head and closed her eyes again "He loves you too no doubt. Your probably like a father to him since he was only little when he got taken away from his"
Satoshi grinned "I did ok at them. But you dont have to win them all to get promoted. You just gotta show the appropriate skill level and the right state of mind."

Itaka grinned "I like the way you think" he snickered "Some time in a dark closet without a wash for a few days outta make him regret his stinkyness."
Oassu sighed a little "Geez kinda makes me feel bad to think he's missing his real mother and father" he said stroking Cid "Oh well, I'm sure he'll be alright with us soon"
Mari frowned "You can win if defeated?" she scratched her head "Theres something I can't quite understand with that concept" she puzzled.
Zadina rolled his eyes "Well apparently you grown ups don't say what you mean and stink of hormones and stuff" he shrugged "Plus you have unusual things called 'fetishies' like you have one for Viera whatever that means" he sighed.

Alpha laughed nervously as he noticed the look Hebal was giving him "He doesn't mean that really. You know what kids are like with their imaginations." he told her and quickly put his hand over Zadina's mouth. He waited for Hebal turned around before letting go "You see. Grown ups don't always say what they mean because the truth can upset people."
Hebal sighed "I'll pretend I didnt hear that" she muttered to herself before turning back round to Satoshi "But isn't the whole idea to show your the strongest? Kinda beats the point if the losers can get promoted too"
Seph nodded but scratched her head "In that case we better out a small window in the closet or else we will all have to smell it too"

Hayate had to try really hard not to laugh at the response Zadina had caused "I'll explain what a fetish is for you when your a little bit older since its not the most pleasent thing to know" he whispered to Zadina.
Felina smiled and took her hand off Cid and placed it on Oassu's shoulder "He's fine with us already. You have been doing a great job at looking after him.
"Just ignore them" Satoshi told the viera before asting a glare at Alpha "Theres more to a ninja than being the strongest and completing missions. Not all the strong ninjas are capable of leading or putting the safety of their team before the mission"

Zadina pondered this wisdom for a minute "If the truth about what you think can upset people.." he said before turning around "Then maybe you need to think only good thoughts that won't upset people" he said brightly.
Itaka grinned "I think we give this too much thought" he said before looking at Alpha "The kids got a point Alpha, no doubt you've thought some bad thoughts before that you shouldn't" he said.
Zadina nodded "See only think nice things that make people happy" he chirped.
Oassu hugged Felina close "Well I'm sure he loves his mama more" he said with a smile.
Mari rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath that sounded like "Men..." before shaking her head "I'm not sure I understand fully but then again normally I never work in a team so...." he shuffled a little uncomfortably "I'm not sure I could lead a team properly"

Alpha laughed "It's not always that simple. For example say Felina worked real hard to cook you something. I have nothing against your food, its nice really" he added to avoid offence before continuing "But lets just say this one turned out really bad. Most people wouldn't tell her because she put all that effort into doing something"
Seph nodded "Way too much thought but seriously, leave the old guy alone. We've all has bad thoughts before. Nobody here is an angel."
Hebal giggled "Keep your bad thoughts to yourselves or do as Zadina says then" she turned back to Mari with a smile "I'm sure you would do your part in a team even if it isnt leadership"

Hayate shrugged "I've not always had the best of thoughts. But meh its a part of life and everyone seems happy enough"
Felina switched her attention to the other conversation once she heared her name mentioned "No offence taken" she told Alpha before turning back around to Oassu "There doesn't need to be any competition" she replied with a smile
Satoshi yawned "Not everyone works well in a team, and not everyone is a born leader. But your team is the most important thing a ninja can have and most of the people you end up working with you've known for years. Incidentally chakra levels in the area are on the up"

Itaka patted Seph on the shoulder and pointed to Zadina "He's quite angelic wouldn't ya say?" he indicated Oassu and Felina "Those two as well"
Zadina shook his head at Seph's comment "I'm a good boy" he murmered simply before moving on. He turned and pouted at Alpha "Thats not fair you know Felina's cooking is always delicious!" he said.
Oassu grinned "Why would I need bad thoughts when I've got Felina" he said giggling a little.
Mari's hand flickered to her sword "Really? Well Samurai as far as I know are trained to word hard on individual battle skills, you need to be born into a leadership role" she said, her eyes darting from wall to wall.

A small grin crept up on Seph's face "Its the quiet ones you have to watch out for. Who knows what kind of things Oassu thinks of when it comes to Felina. And Alpha is slowly influencing the kid" she whispered back to Itaka.
Alpha shook his head "I know theres nothing wrong with it. I was just making up an example on the spot. The point is if someone makes a huge effort for you, you don't tell them if what they have done sucks." he reassured Zadina.
Hebal scratched her ears "You would have to be more decisive if working alone I guess"
