Valduil *leans over the railing, playing with his custom flintlocke given to him by the former master gunner* "I wonder what happened to him after I left." *He though to himself outloud* *Leans over the railing next to him* Appearently he diisappeared, the best knowledge of him would be from Ares, but I rather not have you ask about him to her, my best guess would be Ilor... *Hands him a bottle of rum* Being out in the ocean, with its peaceful currents lightly hugging the ship, the never-ending horizon, Its a good place to think back on personal matters, but dont let it get to ya' to hard. Your a pirate, prove yourself, ready yourself for whats about to come, depending if Ilor and the crew ever get it done...

Destiny scurried back to the galley, and prepared a nice halibut fillet, with twists of lemon and lime.. nearly the last of the limes. She pulled out some of the rice she had been keeping back, and made a light rice pilaf..Along with some peanut butter cookies and grog, that was the meal... She fixed three plates, then brought them out, and sat down to eat supper with the Captain and the new crewman.

*Obsurving the proud, ridiculous grin on Destiny's face as she approached the table with the three steaming dishes, he couldn't help but laugh. She tried so hard to keep a positive attitude. Even when there was no food in her pantry and the ship's wood stores could no longer feed Bertha, the hungry wood burning stove that she cooked upon... there was always a hint of hope in her eyes. The captain took great pride in having such a cook aboard. Not only did she raise moral aboard ship, but she prepared a rather good sufleigh. In his book, that gained points...*
"Halibut! You've been reading through my favorite foods list again haven't you, Destiny. If it tastes even half as good as it smells, I'll have to kiss you. Such a supper is worthy of a Kings Table. The crew is blessed to have as good a cook as you Ms. Destiny."
*Piercing it with his silver fork, he placed the first bite of the juicy fish in his mouth. Closing his eyes, he savored the taste, remembering food back home as a young child. Whipping out of his daydream, he points at Mr. Quasan.*
"As a Midshipman, Mr. Quasan... you'll be learning many things about life at sea. The first of those lessons is this, my young friend. "Never bite the hand that feeds you." In the day to day, it means to keep from angering those that could get you somewhere or something in life. In the situation at hand however, it translates a little differently. In the Galley, it translates to 'Anger the Cook & the Sea Dog gets no bone,'"
*Chuckling to himself and whom ever else got the joke, he waved his fork as he talked and then dove back into the dish for another scrumptious bite.*

*He acknowledged the captain. He would never do such a thing as to offend a chef, for he was a bit of a glutton. The funny thing was he never gained a pound.*
I know much about the sea, captain. I used to be on another pirate ship before, but escaped when I found out what the captain had in store for his crew. I'd rather not talk about that now though...
*He then started to eat his entree. It was delicious. He loved it so.*
Ms Destiny...this is quite good! Hell! It's awsome! My compliments to you.
*He gave her a kiss on the cheek, as he was taught to do in his culture.*

Destiny looked at the two men, and then daintily brushed her hair away from her face, smiling gratefully in response to the wonderful complitments. " I'm glad you like it sir.. I tried my best with what...I mean, what the pantry has left.. which isn't much..." She flushed again when Quasan kissed her cheek. Now that was unusal! To have sailors come to the galley was not unusal, but them kissing her was! So many strange new things were happening.. She looked forward to each new day. "Captain, on a side note" She said around a bite of halibut, " I have mastered the dripping water exercise, whenever you're ready to begin the long blade training."

"Aye, thanks for the rum John, I just didn't know that he left, I guess its a bit of a sore spot on Ms. Ares, I know they were good friends, but what of this thing Ilor is working on it sounds like a might bit of piritical fun?"

*strange laughing sound coming from behind the door to the galley. just then cubby falls through the door clutching his stomach and laughing at the truth of the captains words*
hahaha now that I understand as i have been in places before were we were given bones and the seaman angered the cook... well you know the rest... though another time i bit the hand that fed me and they gave me a swat on the bum and a cookie... question that was a good time...
*stands up now and brushing off the fall,* i have a song that i rather like that would be rather appropriate and it is a generally good song, in general?... anyway if you'd excuse the interuption... *starts to sing in a nice enough voice*
Kind friends and companions, come join me in rhyme Come lift up your voices in chorus with mine Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again
Here's a health to the company and one to my lass Let us drink and be merry all out of one glass Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again
Here's a health to the dear lass that I love so well Her style and her beauty, sure none can excel There's a smile upon her countenance as she sits on my knee Sure there's no one in in this wide world as happy as we
Our ship lies at harbor, she's ready to dock I hope she's safe landed without any shock If ever we should meet again by land or by sea I will always remember your kindness to me

Having made his way to quarterdeck, Reginald approached whom he had hoped were the officers on the ship.
"I am looking for the Captain of this vessel."

*As he laughed at Cubby's entertaining exhibit, he overheard the word "Captain" being spoken of upon deck in a rather unfamiliar voice. Removing himself from his chair..*
"I believe I'm needed on deck. Please, if you'll excuse me."
*..With that, he pushes his chair out of his way and ascends the stairs.*
I was rather enjoying supper, I do hope this is worth my leaving...
*Stepping over the bulkhead, his presence was made known by the loud sound of his boots' heel landing on the wooden decks. Looking about, he spied an unknown person upon the Quarterdeck. Drawing his flintlock from his belt, he quietly gains way up the stairs leading aft. Approaching the stranger, he pulls his hammer back to fullcock. As he comes within 4 feet behind the man, he holds his pistol at full arm length and peers down his arm at the intruder.*
"STAND FAST WHERE YOU ARE. STATE YOUR NAME & BUSINESS UPON MY SHIP, SIR! I DO RECOMMEND DOING AS I SAY. I HAVE A TENANCY TO SHOOT FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS AT A LATER TIME. I ASK YOU AGAIN, WHAT BE YOUR BUSINESS HERE, SIR?"

"Awh, I see... well then, in that case this won't be needed."
*Lowers his pistol and stows it back in his belt.*
"Well, I guess Introductions are in order. I am Captain J. Kurisutofa, Master of the Lady Washington. It's a pleasure to meet a man of your talents, Mr. Baxter. Indeed, we are in great need of a surgeon. Ms. Reika is our medical officer at this present time. Mind you, shes 10 years old or so, and her training goes as far as putting bandages on after cleaning a cut. So, your skills and expierence are greatly welcomed aboard my ship. I've lost a few men to gout over the past year. Two cases of Yellow Fever the year before. My 1st Mate, Mr. John came down with a mild case of scurvvy and dimensia last month. I sent word to Bristol for a doctor, though it was completely in vain. Therefore, needless to say, your coming here is a great relief. Welcome Aboard."
