Serebrate Caleidah Serebrate Rumors, usually on pages with information about him there's a hinting he's not really dead.
Ah. Well, I'm not going to take his position with the Custodes seriously unless I see a more definite source.
-=Something to Ponder=- If/When the Void Dragon wakes up, the Space Marines are going to become giant puppets. It depends if you're talking about their implants or just the armor. The Space Marines armor only has a power generator and some low-grade systems so I'm not sure it would classify as being puppeted. Stuff like a Eldar Warp Spider or Tau Crisis Suits seem to be more likely candidates. Hell, the Dreadnought burns some sort of fuel to move, and though the users body is hooked up to the thing, the rest of the systems are still pretty low tech for the 41st millennium.
Still, the armor has a Machine Spirit. Ergo, it can be controlled.

Isn't Machine sprit just mixture of machanic and organic compound to have better contol over tanks?
That's what I thought it was...

I think it's the belief held by the Adeptus Mechanicus that each machine has a "spirit" to it, but not the way we believe in a spirit such as a self-aware soul.

According to Tim Huckleberry, Xenos machinery does not have a Machine Spirit in the same way that Imperial machinery does. Even -grenades- have a machine spirit to them.

Imperials are a bunch of backward rubes who believe that even a good mechanical watch (read: wind-up watch) has a venerable spirit of its own.

Hm...very true. *ponders upon a new topic* *fails slightly*
As far as it goes, I'm wondering why it is that Space Marine tanks can have the Power of the Machine Spirit upgrade when Imperial Guard tanks cannot.

I learned that New codex will be comming out on October at least. Or if you buy new spearhead from GW, it comes with new edition of codex in September. (From GW guys)

Odds are that they'll both be out at the same time, or only with a variance of a few weeks.

What if there are Tech Priests tending to the Imperial tanks?
And as I always though, the Machine Spirit is AI, barring when it's just them believing that they have spirits. I suppose machines are to the Imperium as the rocks and trees were to the Native Americans.

I suppose machines are to the Imperium as the rocks and trees were to the Native Americans. Yes, but it's an entirely different level of tending; with Space Marines, every Bolt, every component, every part of a tank or armor or equipment is individually and thoroughly blessed and often inscribed. Imperial Guard straight-from-the-forge equipment can't compare.

Ah, very true. I forgot that they're even more bound up in their religious stuff than the others. It would make sense then that they might be able to draw more attention from the Machine Spirit.

Spacemarines bless their armour everytime they use, so yes they are far more dedicated to machine sprit for their power and protection.

Quick question I got for you guys: I'm trying to come up with a 1500 point army list for something anti-Necron, and I want to know what weapons you think work best with them, me being SM (DA to be exact)
Personally, I think that Plasma should suffice ok. I currently have a list with: HQ: Sammael - jet bike w/ Plasma cannon Elite: 2 Dreads w/ Plasma Cannons and 5 man DW Termies w/ Assault Cannon Troop: 3 ten Marine squads w/ Plasma Guns and Cannons in each Fast Attack: None Heavy Support: Predator w/ Lascannon and Heavy Bolter Sponsons and a Whirlwind
Using the DA ED4 book it's 1500 even. (O.o)
My current strategy is that I sit back and launch all hell at him with Sammael running around and acting all annoying like. The Dreads with stand a bit closer to them than the tactical squads and charge if needed. As for the DW Termies, I think I might DS them behind him and try and get some of his squads to focus on them.
So, any ideas of what could be done better or just what would be a better weapon would be greatly appreciated.
