Okay guys...it's official. I'm a failure at cookies. gonk
I'm making chocolate chip right? So, it requires a stick of butter. I figure we had none, since dad always buys the low fat tub crap. Mom stops me before I'm about to make a risky trip to the store (I don't have a bike lock...), and tells me we do have stick butter.
My mistake with that...not heating it up first. stare
So I stir and stir, my butter in irregular clumps, and then mom gets an idea. We took a bowl that was bigger than the one I was using, filled it with hot water, and let the other bowl sit in it. The batter eventually got soft and I was able to mix.
But then...I made the cookies too big and now we have sixteen giant cookies. gonk
The recipe says it can make 24. eek
But...but...how come my peanut butter cookies weren't so bad!
